I was watching the subs at half time on Sat, and realised they were our first choice midfield only a few games ago. Macca has developed a very good squad and Fabian Delph is absolutely outstanding, think a mix between a young Viera, Gerrard and Gazza and you get the picture, he really is that good.

cant see why beckford gets slagged me sen. 22 games 16 goals. last years league one player of year. could have gone but stayed loyal. end of day hes capable of that magic that wins games, frightens defences etc. yeh sometimes looks lazy but would you rather want an alan smith type who chases every lost cause etc (an admirable quailty) but scores 8 goals a year. I personally think hes our top man, take his goals out of it and were nothing

That used to really fuck me off in the Prem. You`d go somewhere like Arsenal, see some familiar faces, but then suddenly there are loads of blokes with their lasses at a fancy away game, lasses who had obviously not even been to a match before. How the fook did they get tickets in the first place, when some person who has been to loads of matches can`t even get one. I think I want us to stay down, its more fun :)

Great game - Leeds kept us under pressure the whole time. I really didnt think we would get that goal back.
A good strong game - not too much faggy rolling about for no reason. Tough tackles, loads of passion,37000 and the right result for us.

Beckford wouldnt do much for you, he needs 15 chances to score 1 and the speed and agility of the defenders in the prem would see him neutralised most games.

He is great for us at this level as we can create all those chances for him and there are a lot of plodder defenders in L1 so he is bound to get one, whereas how many chances do prem strikers get a game, 4 or 5 on a good day?

We competed really well, which was a pleasant surprise after previous league games that came after a cup game.

SG messed up in the 2nd half by putting Gradel up front after Beckford went off, it just didnt work, but we still had a good few chances and their keeper was in top form.

The lads never stopped going for it and in that respect it was one of our better performances this season.

I only heard it on radio mate didnt sound good with Eddie Gray saying performance was poor too, like you say though if they keep putting the effort in doesnt always go your way maybe seemed worse than it was.
End of the day weve had a few last minute escapes this season so due some bad luck, not often we can say that as Leeds fans

I don`t think we need a holding player, just a couple of box to box lads like Bowyer and Dacourt used to be (at our relative level).

Becchio pure legend, 5th in the league, having a great season despite the drubbings from Preston, Barnsley and Donny.

We played well overall, we walked through them for the 1st 2 goals, Howsons was a beauty. Paynter isn't a patch on Becchio. Billy worked hard and held the ball up well but doesn't look like he has the technical ability Luciano has, a good sub though. McCormack looks decent and would like to see him play upfront with Becchio in a 4-4-2 formation. Gradel and Snoddy are class o both wings and played brilliant yesterday. Howson bossed midfield, box to box quality. Unsure about Johnno holding in centre mid, he started well but seemed to drift away from holding midfield at times. Conolly didn't know what to do with Utaka, and Kanu caused a lot of problems when he came on.
