Maybe Rob has been ramming the kao phat gai down him over in Thailand. I think 64.5 will be a strong weight for Rich - better than dropping that extra kg.

what did he drop him with, was it a left knee??......looked a bit funny!!
noi666
Posted: 2008-03-25 06:52:10
I think he caught him with a knee in the clinch, which made him double-up, and then Rob threw that right hand....and then he followed up the knockdown with the same knee, knocking him through the ropes.
Thats how I see it anyways...

Thanks Dave maybe get you and Joey on sometime/somewhere this year all being well - we will travel.

He's off to Thailand with Matt Sheedy and a few other guys for 2-3 months training/fighting during the summer so maybe before or after then.

He just gives up work and goes, asks the bosses for the holidays (paid/unpaid)if they say yes ok if they say no he leaves, he's got a good trade and work reputation so can afford to do it as when he is back many companies want him to work for them. (lucky b*****d)

Hi guys.
Still in Ireland til 9pm tonight.
Thanks for the congrats.
I have had an absolutely fantastic time here.
Paul and all the Bridgestone guys have really looked after us.
Rob is a tough guy, and can see how he has such an impressive KO ratio (66% so I am told). I have been getting drilled in training with more boxing combinations and a tighter guard, and this obviously paid dividends.
Again, thanks to the guys who have helped me out in the preparation to this bout. Its good to get back on winning ways.
Thanks to everyone who sent me good luck texts. Sorry, I couldnt afford to reply, its something like £1 per text or something ridiculous from Vodafone over here, so I love ya....but I'm not Rockerfella! :)

Not only did I win the IKF European title last night, but I had an arguable draw decision in the All-Ireland Breakdancing Title at the aftershow party. I had a tough challenge from some of the guys from Cork, Dublin and Belfast. It all came down to a dance off between myself and one of the Bridgestone guys, who came to a mutual respectful draw that we both seemed happy with. :)

I've had a few pints of the black-stuff....and its lush!

I'll ask some of the guys to get photo's up asap.

Well done Richard great result. After a couple of tough results in his last couple of fights Richard has gone back to the drawing board and changed his training and style and it has really paid off.

Richard hasnt had a fight for the last couple of years where he hasnt had it all on the line - he has defended every title, continually defended his slot in the rankings more than any other fighter (no criticism of anyone else but name me any other fighter in any weight division who has fought the no 2 and defended their no 1 slot once never mind twice in 18 months), and taken on everyone put in front of him. He has not held a title that he hasnt defended at least once and has never turned an opponent down, always giving 100% in training and in the ring. He is a true warrior and has answered all the criticisms and 'knockers' with this result and no-one is more pleased about that than me.
