full contact prospects

Hi there.

This goes back to a little while ago when on another thread we were dicussing Daniel Winstanly as an outstanding prospect for full contact.

Who do you think is an outstanding prospect, good enough to make it to the top, and why?

We have Jamie Lambert, think this lad could go all the way, lost his last two fights to Craig Carta, who was more experienced and heavier (also another great prospect). Lambo is an ex football hooligan, turned his life around, down his punishments and is a changed man. Really getting into kickboxing now, after just 3 wins and 1 draw was prepaired to fly over to Italy for me and fight for a european title at 60kg. trains like a mad man and game to fight anyone!

He is 20 years old!

We also have Craig 'Pretty Boy' Priestley who beat one of Colins lads in his last fight, cracking hands for a novice, and has power - 63kg 19 years old!

After watching Leif Taggart again on show in Doncaster Sunday just gone it has to be Leif.

He is outstanding.
You can tell he feels at home in the ring.
Was a pleasure to watch. :)

I feel he could beat anyone in the world at his weight at the min and he is getting better and better with each fight.

Andrew Tate and Paul Douglas from my Gym!

Saw Craig carter last week from spartans, v good prospect.

Got loads down this way, but prob not fair to mention my own guys so there's pat Sheehan from Invicta, lost for the first time last week, but going to go on and do very well.

Jake Richards USKA

If Ronnie Clarke can still be considered a prospect, then he's def one.

Daniel winstanly is again an obvious one

I agree with you about Leif, but to a degree he is up there already, having won a world junior title.

I have seen Jamie Lambert fight and will keep an eye open.

The 2 that I have seen and have been impressed with are Reiss Larvin from Niels USKA. He can do it all already and is just 16 I believe.

And Colin has a girl called Louise Orton who again shows class in the ring well beyond her years and experience.

The 2 Flexi's from Leicester KB to!

I liked some of Colin's Amateurs, my GOD will it be good ones they turn PRO!

Aaron Robinson springs to mind...

I still think you can class Rob Stevens as a prospect. HE must be back by now?
Colin Payne

I think we need to classify what is a prospect, if your ranked in the top 5 (maybe 10?) of the independent PRO rankings then really your not a 'prospect' I think.

True I suppose.

I was looking at from the point of veiw of not won anything yet.

Aaron Robinson, not a prospect as such, but finally starting to realise how good he actually is, so same could have been said about Steven Swinburn 2 years ago, and now look where he is!

Colin seems to be churning prospects out left right and centre at the minute, so credit to him, and Louise is very cute lol

Anyone who seems to come from USKA or BMAC seem to have no end of talent, so credit to Neil and H

Craig Carta from Spartans will go on to big big things i think, has such a relaxed attitude in the ring and can pick shots at will!

Trust you Shawn to notice how cute she is!! Lol

In all seriousness we ought to be using our poster boys and girls as often as we can to creat a win-win situation for the sport. A pretty and recognisable (read marketable) face could help take us into the next realm with the media and sponsorship.

I have a couple of attractive prospects coming through and will try to market them that way.

thanks dean,

yes shaun law, love this kid to bits he is getting my full attention, he stumbled into fc from being one of my points fighters but struglled with the style... i threw him in the deepend just over 12 months ago on dales matlock show... and it all just fell into place.. he had no training for it and more than held his own... so watch this space... he's not fussed will fight anyone, and is not fussed about losing... so definately no premadonna getting drip fed fighters below his class... baptised in fire this lad and will be better for it!

at the minute he is at the judges mercy, as im not letting him k.o he is more than strong enough and accurate to do so but im making him do the rounds... learning his craft.. so when he turns pro.. il let him off the leash a little..

Are you calling the one against Simon Ikevick a bad decision? @cause I helped make it!

I agree he is a very good prospect though.
