Great Daz! I was again impressed with the kids technique & composure more than the adults. These kids were great two very good kids from Kirby thai, Phoenix (Gary Mc) had some very talented kids especially the the lad who fought jordan calder. Obviously dazza's mini army where on form again, becky was unlucky, but kyhe from assasins was very good and strong. Badco kids George / Harry / Ben where in their usual great form but george stood out to be on fire today. Well done to all and my only question is how the hell did the kid Ben Lewis fought stay up after getting caught with dirty left hooks from god! come back of the day!
Well done Daz & Maxine

I feel stangley deflated today, come down after a show. though once again the kids showed p the adults from the point of technique. mat bell and harry was a great fight, some of the cleanest technique I've seen. Conlan beat a very exp fighter in Kailan.

There were some proper "smack down" fights as well, but I don't really like them to much.

Ben Lewis and josh Turnbull was amazing. Josh nearly got stopped in the first after some horrible head shots from Ben, but came back to stop Ben in the last.

Kyhe fought a very clever fight against Becky, well done.

Thought two of mine were lucky, very close fights, for Mike and Luke
O'shaughnessy.

Jordan and George were vey good, but I think that Gary lads, Anth and Kyle gave a very good acount of themsleves.

Thank you to everyone who supported and helped me out, going to replace all the liquids I've lost today.

Hi Daz and everyone else.
What was Dan Chiltern from Seasiders like?
Hes fighting on my show on 1st of june, hope he wasnt too banged up.

Where are phoenix thaiboxing from?
Are there any junior thaiboxers between 50-52kg between the ages 14 and 16 to match up for future reference?
He has had 3 K1 style fights = 1 win 2 draws and 1 FC style with a win by TKO

Really enjoyed the show, some good well-matched bouts, the kids showed great technique for 5 rounds - some exciting bouts too for the crowd !

Venue was nice too, good atmos, good judging and nice changing areas etc.

Thanks Daz, Show seemed to go well & thought the venue was sweet. Agree that the kids fights were slightly better (technically) but think most of the adults were 1st/2nd timers so hopefully will improve cause we gotta start somewhere!!!

Will you be producing DVD for the Fighter??

when Jordan Calder let his shots go the power was outrageous....cant see anyone 14-17 beating him in UK if he fights to his full potential every time! his knee work was awesome too....Ant Shelton was tough game and had some strong boxing too.
George from badco is coming along too!! nice performance and devastaing kicks too.....even tho Harry lost i thought he fought much better than he did his last fight when he won!!!
Im not commenting on Ben Lewis Vs Josh Turnbull cos i still cant believe what i witnessed!!!!
Jason AKA massive man of azerbaijan looked good for the win in the 1st 2 rounds against Ian from Hanuman!! but Ian picked it up in the 3rd and looked sharp as f**k and used real nice muaythai technique to take the win!! He landed a knee in the 4th that made me wince but Jason kept coming right til the end! as i said in dressing room tho they should have got in the ring and just oiled each other up and had a pose off instead they both looked about 75 kg and not an oz on either of em! i was very aroused!

Really been impressed with Jordan and how rapidly he's developed even in a couple of years! Is he still sitting at 54? Or grown more?

Jordan fought at 56, he did awesome, really composed and let out the power when he wanted as Liam stated

personally I thought shelton did enough for the win or a draw he was replying in the clinch and dominated outside with hands. Wouldn't mind seeing this again on dvd?

I was judging and ant was awesome but his knees were not landing clean and jordans were, that was the difference for me it was a great fight probably the best of the night apart from my fight with Dave Mc & sabena over the opal fruits! LOL

Crazylegs...you need to get the dvd asap. I reckon you could beat that Conlan Teale and you look about the same size to me!

Posted: 2008-05-19 15:52:10
Jordans knees were definately cleaner and although ant attacked jordan with fast hands on the outside jordan did the sensible thing and covered up and hit back with big kicks!!
It was a cracking fight though and both will have big future s if they stick at it.

Andy didn't fight on this show, he was on POS and we were hoping to get him on the town hall.

I am considering doing a show in August with a nice big fight for Andy on it, considering.

I just like to thank everyone for there comments about Anth and the rest of my fighters who fought on the GFC show, who i thought fought real good Muay Thai. I'd just like everyone to know Anth's training and fighting back ground just to clarify Anth's experiance. This reflects on the massive progression of his commitment to his training. Anth had trained at a previous club for a 1 1/2 years. He had 4 interclubs 3 of which where with girls, as you do on interclubs to help out. He only had 1 fight when he was at his previous club. That fight was an AKA promoted fight. Anth's opponent was Lief Taggert, which i would never of made the match with Lief because of his experiance. Anth's trainer at the time never turned up to corner him in the fight, which i found a bit naff. The result of that fight ended in Anth being out classed in the 1st round. Anth has now been with me for 6 months and has had 6 fight's and has made a massive improvement in every aspect, to reflect on the Anth v Jorden fight. For Anth to fight such a expereanced and talented fighter like Jorden, and perform how he did shows that he will go a long way.

I would second that Gary, it was a great fight and Anth has a big future ahead of him. I was very impressed with him, he really tested Jordan and this was Jordan's toughest fight to date, both myself and Jordan would like to thank Anth for being a great opponent and a really nice lad. He will go a long way and we look forward to seeing him fight again. And we wish him all the very beat for the future.
