The long awaited rematch between Dzhabar Askerov and David Pacquette from Contender Asia Series 1 is finally on!

Dzhabar won David on the Contender Show by only 1 point and many thought that David had it. It was a hard and bloody fight and we finally have the rematch.

David has it all to prove and recently won the WKN World Championship (70Kg)
Dzhabar is the current European WMC Champion and is very active on the K1 scene.

This is not one to be missed. Top class International fighters at the highest level.

K-1 WORLD MAX 2009 World Championship Tournament -FINAL8- : Fight Report
HINATA vs. Dazhabar Askerov

Round 1:
HINATA wastes no time whatsoever in planting a handful of high kicks on the guard of Dzhabar, before mixing in the middle and low-kicks while slipping and dodging the powerful bombs that his shorter opponent is famous for.
Askerov does manage to get inside of HINATA’s striking range a few times, and forces the Japanese fighter to fight his type of fight. One dominated by punches, all thrown with every ounce of body-weight behind them. HINATA is still fresh and wise to Dzhabar’s game, and moves the flow back to one that suits his own skill-set as the round ends.

Round 2
The second round starts with Dzhabar having already cottoned on to HINATA’s range, and he darts in and out throwing his own attacks, including a low kick that landed solidly on the Japanese fighters cup.
After a short recovery break, the fighters turn the round into a scrappy affair before HINATA utilizes his size and footwork to land 5 mid-kicks in a row, and some beautiful counter shots.

Round 3
They reverse roles early here, with Dzhabar playing the kicker while HINATA goes to town on every gap he can find in Dzhabar’s defence to attack with his hands and knees.
After getting a little complacent HINATA does get caught with a huge right hand, but fights back as fiercely as you would expect, and lands numerous mid-kicks and light punches.

Extra Round
Both fighters come out looking to put their mark on this round, neither giving an inch. Dzhabar mercilessly attacks the Japanese fighters legs with low-kicks, while HITANA keeps Dzhabar’s guard high with annoying punches before repeatedly drilling his body with mid-kicks.
Dzhabar seems to be tiring and hurting when he throws a six punch combination, three of which are left bombs that land, and the referee is forced to jump in to give a standing eight count to HINATA.
The fight is restarted, and just 3 seconds later the bell rings to end the round, and HINATA crumbles to the mat. Dzhabar earned his first victory in MAX with this fight

It shows its not over till its over...A Momentary Lapse In Concentration is all it takes...Also the ref is quick to jump in don't think he would have seen the end of the round if dzhabar would have unloaded!

congrats dzhabar after watching you in contender asia i am a fan of yours and have tryed to keep up with your fights, boy you have been bussy racking up the fights. good luck against pacquette good de and a high work rate pushing him back will work untill you can land one of your big boombers. thats just my two cents i know you will do good and you dont kneed my addvice.

Would just like to thank Martin & Damien for offering Kieran the fight with Juk, the fight offer alone was a big compliment for a young up & coming lad. This is without a doubt a HUGE fight for the wee man & one, which at first, I instantly turned down, but Kieran really wanted it & annoyed me about it all week. Kieran saw Juk at the Reebok and loved his techniques, so like most fighters, just wants to go in and test himself against him.

We know Juk is rightfully firm favourite & will again want to put on a show, he's just had 2 fights with one of the best £4£ fighters in the country at a slightly heavier weight. But that just takes the pressure off Kieran & will hopefully let him go out, perform well and make the most of the experience. He'll be training all out this month & I'm sure he'll do himself proud!

Great Stuff! Getting my ticket on Saturday.

If there are no two fighters capable in a region the title remains vacate. Titles do not have a sell by date they'll keep

after 6 weeks of Hard Training and i mean hard, hes been training (no jest) 5 and 6 days a week and 2 sessions per day most days after school
6 /7 classes at mine and 2 at dazs in salford
and was told friday its not on ! ?
was a bit dissapointed to say the least ... anyway had to give back money to 10
friends and family coz hes not fighting, so i have a spare 10
£30 tickets if anyone needs any?

For Glen oakley
from Bolton who trained for about 11 years and had 2 fights 2 losses one 10 years ago and was stitched up on weight and exp: way back at a show in Chester
and then lost in a close fight in Ikon last event early this year
and 10 years on from his first fight / stitch up he gets his win!
( and contrary to my thoughts re: outcome on another thread about predictions? as i thought your opponent was too exp: for you and i was worried another loss :-((( as to why on paper it didnt look good! ) but you proved the Stats wrong and Even Better my Paper prediction, well done Glen and at Johns gym !

this was one of the best shows i have been to. i was really impressed with john dennis he looked like a true professional. the fight of the night for me was the title fight between josh turnbill vs luke turner. very entertaining to watch non stop for 5 rounds, exactly what a title fight should be in my opinion. iv seen luke fight before and love his style hes a real prospect for the future of muay thai. great fighter and a big win for him there. credit to both the young lads.
did dzhaber vs paquette agree to no elbows on this show? i was expecting the elbows to be flying. excellent job for the promoters of this show for getting that fight on, excellent show and il be keeping my eyes open for the next one.
