this weekend seems like alot of good shows and interesting matches- on the 28th at walsall town hall tim thomas fights ivan damyanov in an interesting contest under k1 rules- tim is a very exciting puncher and this should be a cracking contest!!
Is it top of the bill?
Ill see you there!!!
Is there quite a weight difference?
TNT - 67kgs
Ivan - 70/72kgs?
Interesting.....
last saw ivan @72 against ste jones !
Any other confirmed bouts?
tim thomas will smash ivan
tim has very good boxing, jobe is a good boxing coach maybe that will counter act tims punching a bit and ivan is the bigger guy
Ivans patient and improves as the fight goes on!!
Farhad ill see you at the bar!! be nice to have a chat
Regards
Dean
Dean ill be ringside in my Blue ISKA shirt ;)
There will be a big black guy with me who looks like a younger version of Samuel L Jackson working in the same capacity.
ivan will be the naturally bigger man but tim is so dangerous and experienced- the match is made at 70kg- the show is a mixture of kickboxing k1 and mma- i have ivan on, plus michelle newell and a debutant suki singh-
Goog luck Ivan and all in Jobe's team.Really excited for Ivan, good to hear he's starting to be recognised as a name who can share and even match the bigger named fighters in the ring.To think i went 5 hard rounds with him and now hes fought Steve Jones and now Tim Thomas, maybe theres still hope for me yet, just need to get matched! Keep doin your thing Jobe.Tops.
thanks for the kind words tops- both boys weighed in today- ivan weighed 69.9kg and tim weighed 69kg-
Does anyone know the fight list?

There has been lots of changes today!

Any other results from the show?
Hay Edd, iv been trying to contact Evolution Stafford but cant find any trace on the net! you got a number for me??
and more results please!
send me an email to hoobliaydoobliay@hotmail.com and i'll send you jackos number. We're not upto date with the 21st century and don't have a website.
Results are as follows:
Fight 1 = O.R
Adam Sutton (Pythons ) Beat Suki Singh (FWC)
Adam was technically better but lacked stamina and really did struggle towards the latter end of the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Adam did enough to take the decision.
Fight 2= FC Steve Freeman (Eclipse) Beat Dan Reece (Pride Walsall)
Dan Reece showed he was a game and aggressive fighter however Steve was sharper and used the legs much more effectively. Steve also forced a standing count in the 2nd.
Fight 3 =O.R
Kelvin Brown (Pythons) Beat Lazlo Buss (Naksoo)
This was a really scrappy fight with the referee Garth Porter having to work VERY hard.
Kelvin got his act together in the 3rd to make it more skillful and to cement his points victory.
Fight 4 = FC
Gavin Burrows (Pride Walsall) beat Rob Mathlin (Wales)
The welsh fighter had more of a light continuous style and used a lot of fast fluid combinations. Gavin responded with strong kicks and effective single shots dropping his opponent in the 2nd with a jab while comfortably cruising home to a points decision.
Fight 5 = FC
Ryan Lowney (Pythons) Beat Kully Nagra (Eclipse)
On paper this should be a contrast of styles. Ryan Lowney the thaiboxer against FC kickboxer Kully Nagra.
Once the bell rang both fihters went to work using fluent combinations finishing with powerful roundhouse kicks.
Both lads neutralised each others boxing with faultless guards.
The main difference however was that Ryan Lowneys kicks were stronger , more effective and were used more often hence giving him a well deserved points victory.
Fight 6 = MMA
Eugene Fadiora Choked out a very tough Aurelijus Kerpe in 4:40 seconds of the 2nd round.
Fight 7 = ISKA Midland Area Welterweight title fight
Royal Marines Commando Andy Barlow (pythons) took an FC title fight literally at the last minute against Rob Rayman (BCCA).
Andy fought very well taking the fight to Rob and even showing more power in both punches and kicks. However, Andy found it difficult NOT to grab the leg or clinch and even used his knee against Rob once.
Andy also hit the canvas after a punching combination in round 4.
The 10-8 round to Rob coupled with a minus point for grabbing the legs just cemented Rob Rayman's victory for the title belt.
MIDLAND AREA CHAMPION = Rob Rayman
Fight 8 = K-1 rules !!!
Ivan Damyanov (FWC) Vs Tim Thomas (Nak Soo)
This fight was incredibly close with One judge scoring it a draw and the other 2 giving it by one point to Tim Thomas.
Ivan can hold his head up high from doing so well against a legend.
ivan and tim put on a great little contest as everyone expected- ivan, i felt showed good improvement in his boxing and defence which have both needed work- tim showed his experience in the last to break up ivans rhythm with low kicks after ivan had won the second with some strong straight punches- the first was pretty even as both boys tested each others skills- ivan made the weight comfortably and i will look for him to compete at 70kg from now on- all the bouts where well matched although there were too many late pull outs leaving only nine fights from a possible 14 or 15 a few days before-
Id have liked the Kully fight to have been over a longer distance as he was taking control in the third and looked the more accomplished fighter.
Cant argue with the result though over 3 rounds!
Congratulations to Rob Rahyman on his hard fought win. Two years out the ring and only a few fc fights over a long association with the sport didnt stop him taking what should be the first of many titles. I hope he takes it on in 2010.
I like Ivan and his style and he was involved in a super fight which I actually gave him. Not by much I thought he was the agresser all through.
Just my view!!
Regards
Dean
Nice to see Farhad too so I can now put a face to the name:-) Top Man
It all comes down to the first round.
Joby has it right ( as always) when he says that Tim just edged Iven out in the last round. Ivan won the second comfortably. The first was close with Tim just edging it.
Pleased with my fighter Gav Burrows having his second fight for my club.
Dan Reece is not actually trained by me. Belongs to our sister club, Team Robbo, Worcester. Bit of a tear up but Dan needs to kick more.
The guy who fought Rob Rayman, although game did not kick much and I would have scored that against him to.
The Kully Nagra fight was very good and was hard to score with so many shots hitting the gloves and arms. It came down to who scored the cleaner techniques and in close fight, I felt that Ryan edged it and would agree with Farhad.
my good mate steve freeman won too, his 2nd fight and now a perfect record of 2-0! good on ya
In particular it was great to meet Dean Perks and the legend that is Joby Clayton!!!
Both are great lads and i had good conversations with both of them.
Here some photo i took..
dean perks i think you got it the wrong way around it was andy's 1st time in ring in two years and he was there to fight thaiboxing but his fighter pulled out the last min so he took the kickboxing fight. and rob fought last month in tamworth i know this because i refered the fight.
Well done to ryan lowney. two fights and two wins in one weekend. kickboxing 3 rounds and thaiboxing 5rounds.
Dont tell me he fought thaiboxing on sunday as well?
I got a text message off a number I didnt recognise saying "I won knocked him out in round 4 " at about 9:38pm
after Ryans win against Kully Nagra he was offerd a ISKA midland title shot 62.2kg in coventry against Michael greene from ECKA. winning on points taking his first senior title. He also fought on a interclub the next day. turns 18 on christmas eve.well done ryan
tim can make 65kg that makes him a legend in my eyes. GO TIM!
Ryan Lowney is incredible!!! Does his brother Dean still fight?
Also 70kg division watch out for Ivan Damyanov!
thanks farhad his brother dean still fights just getting over a operation on his mouth be will be back. like his brother dean won a british wka k1 title end of august against the very talented arron towns in scotland.
