Well Done Marlon and Marshall :-)!
Marshall vs Callum Mcgregor from Rivals would be a great fight at -30kg. They have both beat Stuart King!
What happened to Snoddy vs Bee?

Did I read this right? Less than a pound in weight?

I was thinking that myself Mark LOL
If it was 4kg I'd understand but not 0.4kg ???

The fight was set at 60kg my girl weighed in at 60.4kg she has only had 1 fight, Zoe weighed in at 57.7kg. But as far as i know she has had 6 fights 5 wins thats a good record and a very risky fight for my girl. But they refused to take the weight difference. Fair play.

There was a 2.7kg weight difference, but like Jag said there was a big gulf in experience. In a situation like that, it is all down to discretion of both camps so yes it is fair play.
Even so, Weight for experience is a fair trade off in my opinion.

Sounds bad if the fight was made at 60k. Still, up to them I suppose. At least you had other fighters on. Imagine making that trip with just the girl then that happening.

If you did you'd skip it off I suppose?

We did all we could to keep the fight on and told them that we would put the fight on later on in the show to give Julia the time to get 0.4kg off, as our facilities had steam and dry saunas and all kinds of top of the range cardio equipment to get the weight off and even said lets do a catchweight fight with 12 or 14 oz gloves, but they did not want it.

Zoe had a better fight record even with a win over Sophie Simnett, but mayby they just didnt want to take the chance to get a loss on their record

But it is upto Zoe's coach end of the day.

We still had a full card with some great kickboxing on it.

Our Oct show will feature a lot of my team mates from Mejiro Gym in Holland, so if anyone is interested in fighting Lowkick or K1 Rules please let me know
