naa peter its a lot simplier than that, if its shown as being a charitable event they get a reduction on the venue for charity purposes lol prob at least 50% so the other 40 goes to where you have most correctly pointed out.
I will enquire with the venue owners to see if they will give me a reduction in hall hire, or if they will donate some of the hall hire fee to the temple also.
Amy vs Iman will be a brilliant fight! I'm sure the first fight was a draw. Never seen Amy fight but heard great things about her and Iman is as tough as they come!

Thai Barlow won points against Evan Jays in a fantastic display of muay thai.
Harley Mcleod beat Ellis from Benfleet points
Richmond Anan beat Luke Whelan points
cant remember the others. Some good fights, guy from KO Bloodline, Prazeck I think his name is (apologies if Ive got it wrong) was awesome, stopping Singto lad in first with devastating punches.
Must say disappointing in the number of fights on display yesterday, but it was made up by firstly watching Thai v Evan complete class on both sides, they put most adults to shame with there respect and technical ability. I thought the crowd thought the decision went the wrong way and I would tend to agree. However was a great fight. How old are both boys they to have been around forever. Then to top off the night Iman was scary good, I feel she would give a lot of guys trouble at her weight. Think Ryan had a lot of pull outs last minutes it's a shame when the promoter put in all the effort to get let down last min.
I had to leave early so was unable to see Iman's fight, although iv heard from many that she put on an amazing and strong performance to stop Amy in the second. Evan Jays vs Thai Barlow was without a doubt the best fight on the card. Non-stop action from start to finish and possibly one of the best fights I've ever seen, including A class fights! Some of the crown did disagree with the result going to Thai but the judges know what there doing and thats what they are there for. The fight was very close and could of gone either way! Someone get this fight on again!
Thai and Evan was ace, both very good nak Muay.
The result was correct without a shadow.
And I must say everyone will not always agree with the result.
But I know what I am on about. That is for sure.
I study every fight with the correct scoring criteria whilst judging.
It's completely different watching a fight being part of the crowd.
If Evan did what he did in the 5th in the 4th the result would be Evans.
Chris. I believe the result between Evan and Thai was a split decision so that means one of your judges gave it to Evan so the result was not correct without a shadow if one of your judges gave it different to you. I am not questioning you as a judge. Watching the fight I saw it different to you as did one of your judges and a lot of the crowd. Anyway the fight was a great display of muay Thai and look forward to watching a rematch. As mentioned earlier does anyone no the ages of these boys.
The age old spectator v Judge over DES idioms will always exist and understandably as everyone has an opinion.
However one constant remains:
Spectators have 'opinions' on fight results
Judges have 'judgement'
A spectator (irrelevant of knowledge & experience) watches a fight:
1. Further away
2. For enjoyment & entertainment
3. While enjoying food, drink etc
4. With company
5. Generally with pre conceptions of a 'favourite fighter
6. Sometimes in support of their fighter
A judge watches a fight:
1. Close up
2. Using a tried and successful scoring criteria
3. Fairly & unbiased
4. Without distraction from friends
5. On their own
6. As their profession
It would be wrong to say that judges get it right 100% of the time that is why there are 3. If one judge sees it different than the other two then it is a 'majority' descision.
Out of the two above (spectator/judge) the percentage that get it right the most is the judges.
I am a judge and a spectator and I get more (close) fights wrong when I am spectating.
However, part of the fun is debate and as long as it is kept impersonal it's what keeps an interest in our sport
Evan was 12 this year and Thai recently turned 14. It was a great fight regardless of decision, i was disapointed for Evan as he is always been up against the odds with age and weights but he was really happy with the fight and looks forward to his next.
Iman was the better fighter on the night and caught me cold so a big well done to her she is a great fighter x I was terrible and didn't put up a fight just stood back and took a beating don't know what went wrong I was totally shit, sorry for the people who paid money to come and see the fight if she is willing to have another rematch in the future I know I will put on a much better performance x
and Amy (trinity?) fair play to your sporting post and dont put yourself down you had a fight ! 1,000 times harder than NOT having a fight ! win or runner up
