Fighters that should be "Game" for this (no pun intended ha ha ha )

Adam Hadfield
Joe McGovan
Mark Casserley
Lyndon Knowles
Jamie Bates
Andrew Tate ( or Nigel Thomas)
David Wright

Also Marlon Hunt of course,....
But also do a Reserve Match in case someone has to pull out.
Make sure you include at least one "wild card" , someone who in theory is not necessarily up to the standard of the rest but has potential to cause a big upset.

Marlon so your not in the 8 man also £3000 was not enough purse for KB-X but £3000 is enough for K1?

This has scuppered the 8 man I was planning in November then ;-(

That's why I asked what date kbx was on other thread. Bit of a surprise.
Wonder which fighters would be up for both shows?
Red Phoenix Academy
Posted: 2012-06-30 00:13:21
Dragonfoot/Action Promo's/ Farhad most of the fighters on the KB-X forum said it has to be K-1 format or you wont get much interest.

You wanted to stick to the KB-X FC format which is fair enough.

Thats why Joe McGovern, Gareth Richards, Jamie Bates, Andrew Tate, Lyndon Knowels, Mark Casserly, Pete Mercer etc are all interested, because its K-1 and its also fully sanctioned by IKF.

I spoke to the guys and they were happy with a full £3000 winners prize not 2/3 to the winner 1/3 to runner up.

Im not interested in a new Format that's your thing, I'm just giving the fighters and the fight fans what they want a K-1 8-Man with some of the best 81-86kg Fighters on 1 show fighting each other.
You won't get these fighters together any other way.

Dragonfoot you had the chance to do it but didnt listen to what we were saying mate.

I put the show beginning Oct cause you wanted your KB-X show in Nov so plenty of time between shows to not step on your toes, so cant see a problem there.

Sandy man Yes same venue you commentated for me on P4TV, Its a lovely venue. I will def call you today was really busy yesterday my friend.

Marlon

I listened proposed £5000 prize pot

You
Tate
Bates
Richards

We're in the mix to have your 3 weeks prior has shot mine down, same as if I put it on 1st weekend in September

Annoying thing is whilst I have been away for a week arranging things managed to arrange a sponsor that would have been putting £2000 in so would have been £5000 to winner on 30 tickets sold

That's this sport through and through I suppose, what I could do is offer the £5000 prize to a a K1 8 man but contract all in for 4 weeks no fighting before but that would blatantly scupper yours

So it will be K1 but not K1 as not official K1 same thing going on my street now Wimbledon 2012 it's not at Wimbledon but they got two rackets and a ball so gonna call it Wimbledon 2012, euro 2012 going on on field too it's not gdansk but there's a bunch of kids with a ball and jumpers for goal posts lol

Probably saved me a lot of headache and money anyway

Cheers

Marlon - I proposed Aidan Brooks for your 8 man - hes well up for it.
Let me know ASAP please what you think.

Aidan Brooks – 84kg – 19 fights – 13 win – 6 ko. Current IKF World low kick Cruiserweight Champion. (Active)
Hes a former IKF heavyweight All Ireland & European Champion and a World Heavyweight K-1 Gold Medalist.

Marlon, no disrespect but it's a little underhand to do that, basically to let dragon gauge interest from fighters then counter-propose when you know they'd all be willing to meet up... This sort of stuff is why i chose not to promote this year as people were doing exactly this. As dragonfoot said, it would be a bit out of order if he quickly got contracts out to fighters, offered them much better deals, and contracted him to the standard 4-5 weeks so they couldn't fight on yours. But this would be bad sportmanship and immoral, don't you think?

Again, i don't mean to have a dig even though i am slightly, but exactly this sort of situation/actions that made me cancel 2 dates i had for this year - i do the hard work matching, then someone poaches them for their own a few weeks before.

Dragonfoot I'm in talks with K-1 to get the 8 man sanctioned by K-1 the rest of the show will be sanctioned by Ikf and the Mma by ISCF. Can't get anymore reputable orgs than that.

I asked you to email me full details and rules about KB-X and like some other fighters we got nothing.
Its all well and good putting it on ax and making the rules up as your go along but with K-1 rules everyone knows where they stand again people told you this.

I listened to what the fighters and fans want.
Fighters wanted K1 rules which a lot of people told you on your thread, you wasn't going to do it so I did.

I'm not using your Kb-x or stuart davis tfc style its K1 rules.

A lot of the fighters- trainers know the venue is great, its being filmed for Sky, its a recognized world sanctioning body and the officials are A class
Fighters fight where they want don't blame me if I got a better response.

Regards, Marlon.

Dragonfoot if you want to try and scupper the 8 man its up to you.
People in the sport will know exactly what your about and why the 8 man didnt happen.

Its all well and good saying now your putting up £5000 when the whole way through you say £3000 2/3rds to Winner 1/3rd to Runner up, meaning the fighters in the final don't really need to give it there all cause they are guaranteed a purse.

I said I put my show on Oct 6th to not clash with your Nov show where you was doing your KB-X Full Contact Show.
You want to do yours before now because your being childish that's up to you. I don't play that way and good luck in your show.

Hi Pete I will email you full details now. Osu :)

Marlon point and case have you actually read anything iv put

I understand you have had nothing but arguments for last year or so on here so you pretty much have the habbit of getting your point across

Simply I have no interest in underhand tactics I'd sooner not Put a show on If had to shit on some one

So where you get the 8 man won't go ahead as of what people will know what I'm about don't know where your going with that and not interested

I stipulated £3000 you went on it wasn't enough so I said interested in upping to £5000 and sourced a sponsor of £2000

I don't really need to say what I said here as its already recorded on the thread

K1 will not co sanction so unless your calling it K1 rules on an IKF event it is what it is Marlon

Pretty sure some of the fighters only interested In an 8 man if your in it but it appears your not what's all that about but anyway I digress

KB-X was simply full contact rules with a style and equipment change

I openly gave people the option to have input and all came to same conclusion FC rules are fine as they are but a little evolution would not go a miss

Whether you meant to or not you have put the people interested in my event on yours as it stands it's under hand don't pillock a pillocker no mOre to say on it good luck with it but at least stand by your conviction fucks sake

Thats where your wrong John.
You may not be clued up to what goes on with K-1 outside of the UK because your more FC and Boxing.

K-1 Yes the Brand K-1, Sanctioned an 8 man I was on in Switzerland only a few weeks ago.

The main event was for an ISKA World title between a Swiss and Japaneese fighter and Paul Hennessy was there also.

Im not going to argue on a forum bud you wanted to do your KB-X Full Contact and unlicensed Boxing in Nov, yet still wasn't 100% clear on rules etc.

Im doing a K-1 8 Man. All rules are clear and the show is Sanctioned by IKF and ISCF in Oct to give enough time for the fighters to also be able to fight on your show, so can't see any problems there, or why your spitting your dummy out.

Its not like I'm doing the show in your backyard on the same day.

If you want to discuss this further please email as don't want to go off thread topic. Thanks

Charles Sikwa wants in On this he lost on pts to Lyndon Knowles 5 fights ago but has massively improved since that performance - last 3 fights 3 stoppages. K1 rules will suit Charlies style. Was beating Erik Lloyd before hi kissed Eriks knee goodnight :-)
I think he could win this tournament if he was in it - 21 fights 16 wins 8 x stoppages/kO's yrs old representing UK at world IFMA championships Russia in September.

Do you want me to put Gareths message up John?
If Denzil doesnt want to come down that's up to him Gareth wants to be a part of it.

I don't put things that don't need to be said on open forums and keep things professional.
(AND I SAID BEFORE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES EMAIL ME AND YOU HAVE MY NUMBER) :)

I wished you luck on your KB-X show, but as I said before John your just spitting your dummy out, as fighters want to be on my show.

Do you see me on your thread being silly because you can't handle the fact that most fighters would rather fight K-1 Rules than the FC style and that you would struggle getting people together just fighting FC.
Changing the clothing is not going to make any difference, your still doing FC.
You were told this, but didn't listen.

We have had a great response for the show and very shortly I will be putting the full 8 man up. :)

dragonfoot
Posted: 2012-07-03 16:08:50
Marlon feel free to put the message up makes no odds to

I was waiting on Gareth's return so he and his coach could discuss the 8 man, through general discussion I updated Denzal that my 8 man was off due to How your 8 man has come about, me telling his coach was the first he had heard of it

As a result he feels put out as may be old fashioned but protocol of discussion through the manager/coach

Iv not spat the dummy as you keep pointing out if I think someone's taking the piss il pull them up on it, I hardly bring silly I'm being bang on point under the circumstances

You protested not enough money do I upped and listened you were out spoken in interest for the rules, I just hope this show goes ahead as other wise 8 men have missed out on the opportunity to win £5000 at the chance of £3000

Not having dig or pop but I am asking what the fuck if this is the case, but either way I'm moving forwards

Not sure of your agenda Marlon which is probably a good thing but either way bares no relevance in my plans

You don't have to explain yourself on an open forum, nothing personal but from my view your show seems a little ifs and buts, K1 and IKF UK are not usually co sanctioning bodies but I'm sure you will have been in discussion with IKF UK and K1 at some length before this was posted so as I'm sure you could not have just sprung it up off the back of my event

I would be very disappointed to find out other wise though, I have merely asked the question from my side of the fence no more ;-)

All your doing is trying to spoil the thread now Jon.
Grow up will you.
You were told you wouldn't get fighters interested in Fc only 8 man. Deal with it.

Show is sanctioned by IKF
In talks with K1 to sanction the 8 man
Ikf do co sanction its states so on their website as long as it benefits both parties.
Meaning they won't co sanction with smaller or unrecoqnized orgs.
Steve Fossum president of Ikf and Colin Payne know I'm in talks with them and are happy.

My agenda is
IKF World Title
K1 8 man
Am Ikf Titles
Iscf sanctioned Mma bouts

Before you go off on one again Jon Iscf is the Mma devision of Ikf.

Show is being filmed for sky and is being aired on sky.

Posted: 2012-07-04 04:28:54
Ps I've said before you don't really know what's going on outside of uk regarding K-1 etc, as you only do unlicensed boxing and kickboxing
Also no ifs and buts its happening whether you like it or not jon.
Maybe instead of winging and moaning about my show you should put that effort into your own show.

Stop spoiling threads and good luck with your Kb-x.

Getting this back on track.

Im proud to announce that in conjunction with the IKF Supershow on Oct 6th in Ipswich, Suffolk we will be hosting 2 x 2hr sessions on Fri Oct 5th 19.00-21.00 and Sun Oct 7th 11.00-13.00 with no other than Andre Mannaart of Mejiro Gym Amsterdam and former WKA, WPKL,ISKA and WAKO World Champion

Mejiro Gym is one of the most famous gyms in the world.

Marlon you do make me chuckle I'm not trying to do anything of the sort and I am only answering your way off point statements in regards to my self

I have nothing to gain or lose whether or not your show is a roaring success or whether you cancel it

I'm not trying to ruin it I will go back to my original statement of £3000 was not enough for you, £5000 was offered but you then put an show on for £3000 which you won't be fighting in other than a world title fight for your self

You had the opportunity to fight for £5000 against, Tate, Richards & Bates but then sideline the guys offer them less and not include yourself

Last I'm saying don't want to come across as trying pull your proposed event down above is fact whether you like it or not no more no less

Simply read what I have put before a counter statement that reflects you have not read what I have written as talking and brick wall come to mind

Nuff said good luck

Jon.

People asked you to do a K-1 Rules 8 man to get more interest.
You didn't want to.

People asked what the KB-X Rules were.
You wanted no clinch, but you could throw.
Knees, but you couldn't Lowkick.
To most that posted it made no sense.

You said £3000 purse all the way through.
You only said after I announced my show that you had a "so called Sponsor" putting in an extra £2000.

KB-X will just be another unsanctioned event with the belt not really meaning anything outside of the KB-X Competitions.

I'm Sanctioning with IKF one of the big 4 Organisations.
I did my show weeks away from yours so if the fighters on my show also wanted to fight on yours they could.

My 8 man has mostly K-1 Rules, Lowkick, MMA or Muay Thai fighters in.
Taking nothing away from your KB-X Kickboxing event.

The winner of the 8 man gets £3000 and next show fight will be v myself for a title.

All you have done is winge and moan like a kid.
It seems your the brick and Wall.

What part dont you get
Your doing Kickboxing Im doing K-1
Your doing KB-X show Im doing an IKF show
Shows are a month apart.

Get over it for the last time.
Im not getting into childish spats on a forum.
You have a problem or like you said no problem mail me your queries instead of ruining the thread.
dragonfoot
Posted: 2012-07-05 02:21:42
It's not a spat your still missing the fundamental part which is obvious to see and I'm not interested in arguing which I am not even arguing

I am merely pointing out u have not had a spat and not been childish or silly like you keep trying to prove a point that I am either childish or silly

All I have asked is what every one thought when this arose

The main issue around KB-X was to gauge input to where I threw ideas out for all intensive purposes call it a survey & what was the result either do K1 or keep the FC rules with a face lift

Your main focus was MONEY! Which is understandable

I'm trying to leave this post alone but when you write in the manner you are doing by making me out to be childish or silly, what will be next I'm using string hand tactics to sabotage your event!

Simple as this your event has clashed with mine so be it regardless of rules, same weight plus 4 fighters you saw a chance and took it.

Point blank I think you've taken the piss as do many others so trying to make me out as the bad man falls very short

That being said touché simple as this you could have done your same day for me, but the fact that you poached the fighters interested for yours a month before which sabotaged mine due to 30 day rule

KB -X would be sanctioned under itself and insured for £10,000,000 what more than that makes it none legit!

That said again I'm not fussed this is simply my right to reply don't post something that's not the case and I won't reply, if I was pissed off you would know about it whether I have your number or not I could soon get it and phone you, there is no need to

Many others would have acted differently but that's life just leave it at that I honestly have no hard feelings it's business not personal, but when you say spat, silly and childish I will correct you accordingly

It's not a spat your still missing the fundamental part which is obvious to see and I'm not interested in arguing which I am not even arguing

I am merely pointing out "I" have not had a spat and not been childish or silly like you keep trying to prove a point that I am either childish or silJly

Unfortunately Andrew Tate could not compete in the K-1 8 man Oct 6th or our World title "Winner Takes All" fight Dec 2nd as he is committed to the Enfusion show. Good luck Andrew and Amir.

Exactly...unfortunatelly and Thank you, ENFUSION Finals are 24th November 2012 in Slovenia so too close to risk injury and €40.000 ;-)

More than welcome Amir.

Again shame that he wasn't in the mix as the winner of the 8 man as well as getting the winners purse will get a Title shot vs myself on our next show promotion.

Was looking forward to me and Tate in Dec on your show, but Im sure we can rearrange my friend schedules permitted.

Thats great Jon.
All I thought was if something needed to be discussed it would be a lot easier on the phone.
Sometimes writing things on forums can come across wrong, so we can get back on thread now

Snowball has already beaten cdp lol as well as Lyndon Knowels K-1 rules who beat cdp Ftr.
I've never had a problem fighting cdp K-1 rules
Our schedules have been always busy.
Winner of the 8 man gets £3000 & fights me on next promotion.
2 incentives to be in it but he is busy.
Next show Farhad let me get this one out the way 1st :)

Snowball already beat CDP under FC rules.
Mind you, i havent seen the DVD of that, i hear that a lot of the Sheffield fans from Wicker camp were quite disgruntled with the decision. One of them who KNOWS his stuff described you as "running away" and "tippy tapping" a lot?
I'll have to see the youtube video before I can pass comment for myself though ;)

Im a straight talking guy , i speak my mind and hide from no one.
However, if i see the video and you did win fair and square, then Ill admit it straight up.

Wow Andrew Tate has a nightclub in your area! awesome!

Farhad Cdp who I fought said I won as that well as the judges that's all that matters. Not the crowd specially after a few beers lol.

Yeah he has a club lol. (only joking)
Shame he didn't want to be part of the 8 man in oct or our fight dec 2nd in luton. Title for title or K-1.

He is fighting Scott Gibson in Dec now though. :)

Tate is fighting at the ENFUSION-TV Finals on November 24th:

Semi-Final v Richie from Scotland
2nd Semi-Final SAHAK v Slovenian

and then hopefully in the Final v Winner of Holland/Slovenia for the BIG MONEY Grand Prize!!!

Gigson was supposed to happen early November so both this and the Luton December show are therefore out of question!!!

Farhad we have been through this loads and I'm really not going to apologies to his fans for beating him.
He is ok with decision how come you cant be? lol

It was Kickboxing Rules which he knew.
He threw 1 Punch or Kick
I threw 3/4 Punches and a Kick
Do the maths!!
Also he didn't KO me in 12 rounds, as he did most in 1 round.
So the winner would be who Farhad?
The person who threw 1 scoring technique or more scoring techniques?
And don't forget it's not Muay Thai or K-1 Rules scoring its Kickboxing?

If I fought him K-1 Rules then it would be a different strategy.

He is a great guy and fighter, never said anything else and was a privilege to of gotten in the ring to fight him.
And survived and won :)

So please Farhad stop trying to make something out of nothing as I know what your like :)

As said Amir shame he couldn't be in it. :)
Maybe next one next year hey.

Sorry guys don't really post much on AX anymore, as it seem just a place where groups of mates or nameless profiles just like to throw digs about and don't converse to help in any way to further the sport which it did many years ago .

I have only just heard this and that he may be fighting on another show on the same day??????

If its true he should be banned from all Recognised organisations as our fight was planned and agreed months ago through IKF.

Amir my friend I asked you months ago if Tate wanted to fight on my show Oct 6th and me and Tate was supposed to fight Dec in Luton on your show.
You said NO because and pulled Tate out of both because he wasn't allowed, as he is fighting in Nov.

a hustler they are all British, European and World Champions in Kickboxing, K-1 Rules and Muay Thai.
Just Google them, as there are loads of Videos of them :)

Show is still going ahead Sandy and you are commentating as for my fight I will be in contact with Dossett and IKF today.

I will post full fightcard shortly.

Why not just fight Tate Marlon is Amir is offering it? Surely that's a bigger fight than the Italian?

Tate is next year mate in Luton.
They were asked 1st of all to be in the 8 man and I was fighting Tate in Dec in Luton.
They said they couldnt and then had to pull out of Dec so we agreed next year.
Tateas only had 1 fight this year and hasnt been active since his loss and the Italian is from Team Yokkao and has an extremely impressive K1and Mt fight record with various euro and world titles in K1 and MT so to be fair thats a bigger fight. :-)
I wish Tate all the best and will see him next year :-)
Amir Subasic
Posted: 2012-09-10 05:43:58
Yes we were asked 1st but when we were asked by you the ENFUSION final was in November so your show was to close and we had to decline hence no fight between you and Tate!
AND you only asked for Tate to fight in the 8 MAN tournament NOT versus you Marlon.

Now on the other hand as it has been moved to Dec we were available to fight on your show in the 8-Man or against you as Dosset has pulled out and you did not accept...there was plenty of time, you were in full training to fight Dosset - Tate on the other hand did not train for the last two months.

Same happened when Valentino Petrescu pulled out from the fight against you on my show since he was accepted into THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER Series UK TEAM - I suggested Tate for you and you declined, you said you did not train for Tate.

Why wait until next year when it could have happened 2 times now...I also want to stress this is not a go at you and I agree that you need time to prepare for Tate.

One day next year it will happen :-)

Amir I asked you 1st of all for Tate to be in the 8 man because me and Tate were scheduled to fight in Dec in Luton.

No point fighting Tate Oct and Dec I hope you agree.

You declined Oct due to Enfusion in Nov then again pulled the Dec fight v me and Tate which is all fair enough.

When Enfusion changed dates again you asked to be on show which was already set so hard to fit you in as it was.
Then rumours started about Dossett pulling and we had to give him time to say it was true due to him fighting on an unsanctioned show on the same day, so seemed he just wanted 2 paydays.

Vanni Fae from Italy was asked 1st due to his impressive fight record (77 Wins), titles won (Euro and World in K-1 Rules and MT) and activity (6 or 7 fights this year) which you cant deny is better than Tates imo.

How many times have I tried to get me and Tate on Amir over the years? Loads
Im not going to keep on about it as I am busy and as you say so is Tate. Thats why we agreed a date to suit both next year.

Me and Tate should of happened years ago and as you have said many times Tates needs enough time to prep for me and visa versa and it needs to be enough time to really promote the fight big.
This fight should not happen on a few weeks notice. Again I hope you agree :)

This type of stuff I dont usually put on Ax as it is an open forum and people dont know what happens behind the scenes, but that is how it is.

Amir next year. Find out the dates you are free and lets get the date set in stone.
Regards :)
