Hey Flame, Those are cute photos.Do You have any shots of Craig landing any clean shots or maybee some of my shots landing ?
It was a good 12 rd fight That Craig won on points but I am sure you could find some photos of me hitting him and landing clean.I would like to see them since I was never given A tape of the fight.
By the way in all of those photos I was blocking with the left arm that was broken prevoius to the fight. If you look close you can see the golf ball lump on my left forearm.
As far as the pads are concerned I think it is A silly argument. I fought 3 1/2 weeks earlier defending my world title and wanted more time to prepare for the fight and Dennis said that the fight could not be postponed so I accepted the fight he said the pads where optional so I decided to where them.I made no exuses I took the fight and lost A decission.I would not have brought up my injury if someone on here did not say that Craig broke my arm with his kicks.I do not see too many other well known fighters fighting other known fighters in there home town with any rules.
I will be fighting A Sanda/Sanshou fight in my next bout against Jason Yee of Boston ,The only American to win A Gold medal in the Sanshou World championships. This fight will be with no pads ,with knees ,throws.Low kicks. This fight will be for A Sanshou world title,More than likley it will be sanctioned by 2 organizations..
Since I lost to Craig which I give him credit for,And since you think it was by so much . I would like to invite Craig to come to fight me in my home town on Ring OF FIRE KICKBOXING SERIES after that fight. If I win the title I will defend it against him as the rules are simular to mauy thai with throws allowed. I am also working on helping in a Major promotion in New York next year that will have k1 style fights on it and this is also an option for a Tommy "BEE" Bottone VS Craig Buchannon rematch.
As I have proven many times before that I will fight any one under any rules as long as it is A good offer. I love the entire sport of Kickboxing as well as NHB , and Boxing , So I give no disrespect to any fighter or any set of rules.

I think it is pretty cool that Tommy B would fight under any rules. To me, that is a TRUE champion. I would love to see some of the better known fighters be so adaptable. Some of the Dutch and French fighters used to be pretty versitile in their game. Here is a guy that will fight under a variety of rules and not complain about them. Way to go, keep up the good work.

I agree with Doug about the amateur pads thing. In most places amateur fighters don't get paid and still won't wear pads. I personally have too much to risk to fight in a pro format and not make any money. There's a reason that amateur boxing is successful and part of it is by introducing fighters to the sport with the gear on. Too bad there's no single sanctioning body in kickboxing that could regulate everything.

Hey Flame , Thank you for showing some of the other side. Looking at this board after the fight I thought that I was in A different fight than I actually was. I absolutley did not fight my best and Craig won but I landed many shots throughout the 12 rds including many low kicks and A couple of good catch kicks,Which was always my favorite thing to do in Sanshou.
Hey Doug, Thank you for the nice words and I think that the sport would be better off if most people just trained to win fights and not get caught up in my style is better than yours like the way the traditioinal schools where for years.
PJ : I have been saying for a long time that I believe that all amteurs should be made to wear full equipment. This makes the fighters last longer and keeps them in the sport longer. It makes my stomach turn every time I see A new fighter fighting without head gear and they get A major cut like top pros do . This discourages many fighters from sticking it out for the long haul.I don't understand what the rush is to look like A pro when the fighter is ready to turn pro then they are acceping A greater risk.I do see mare promoters and sanctioning bodied going toward ameteurs wearing equipment being mandatory. I will only allow top ameteurs to go without equipment if they demand it as it is the norm to do it on other shows. I hope that it will become mandatory on all shows one day so I am not put in that situation as A promoter. There are great ameteurs out there and we should showcase them for what they are .I think when some promoters show some inexperienced ameteurs on Tv it leads peole to think that htese are our top pros and it makes the sport look bad.
Chris: None of those photos show me getting hit with A clean kick or punch there are some what I call flybies meaning just grazing with some defense getting in the way. I know for A fact that I was only hit with A few clean head kicks in 12 rds and the same in Punches as I was the one in the ring fighting.
As you can see from thoe photos of my shots they make contact.
My defence was not as good as ussual or my offence for that matter due to me not wanting to get hit in my left arm but I was proud of my performance considering Craig is A very good fighter and it being A 12 rd fight.

Hey Chris, I don't shave my chest or spend my days in the tanning salon because I am not a model or Movie star just A fighter so I spend most of my time training when preparing for A fight.
If I get that Hollywood movie deal that I want than I guess I will shave my chest and go to the tanning salon but for now I would prefer to spend my time training.I have always felt that you look good when you fight good not by doing those other things. This is just my opinion !!

Mark L.,
Pahjonsuk Lookbraht is one of the best fighters in Thailand right now. His record is about 90 fights, 10 losses. He stands 5'10" and fights around 140lbs in Thailand and about 147lbs internationally. He is currently one of the best kickers in Thailand, great knees, average hands. I am also a fan of Maetee, but he better be careful because he doesn't like to fight in the clinch much and Pahjonsuk gains his edge in the clinch. Maetee is very intellegent though, so I'm sure he already knows this.

I didnt intend to disrespect Tommy by any means it just looks out of place and I think it adds to confusion on different styles, etc. I despise muay thai trunks in a full contact fight. looks like a karate guy trying to be a nak muay. Hi all above
REF: rematches ??
Tommy instead of worrying over a re-match on your own show ! ( as its always hard to fight and promote yourself ! ask MYSELF Richard Smith Duncan A James all from u.k. whats it like ! ??????? HARD as we have all done it ! and i can assure you its DOUBLE pressure )
PLease Tommy consider a TOP class re-match as weve been trying for a year for ! with my fighter JOHN ( the storm ) Hale v Craig the Bullet Buchanan ! this was a TOP fight that we still beleive we / he won (JOHN Hale u.k. England ) JUST watch the video ! and Judge for yourself ! YES Craigs GOOD not under dispute but to say he got a hometown decission is def: true !! He was very tired and hurt in that fight and he / they wouldnt have proper thai rules only the safe usual made up ones in C.A. u.s.a. you will all know about yep ?? ( not Craig or promoter / trainers fault i might add ! )
Please consider this !! as the last fight was a STORMER scuse the pun !! have you ? anyone ? seen the video ?? i know UNICORN on here has !! and hes NOT in the U.S.A. too !
ALSO FLAME please can you pursue this also for us too !! and hey Flame TOP TOP pics: as always ! nice one buddy !
And please if you can give those photos to Howard Hughes if your going to Las Vegas this week ! ? please ! anyone else going ?? on here ??

Sandy

I understand your frustration and the decision you got fighting in Craigs back yard I think that Craig and John Hale would be a top fight for the near future. I don't think Dennis and Craig would do it on Tommy's show, but I think it could happen in Las Vegas or some other neutral venue. As Craig is a good friend I thought he lost the fight also. I had it three rounds to two for John Hale but when my fighters fight in somebody's back yard like that the decision usually goes to the person with the Home Court Advantage. Meaning you should have gotten at least a draw but not a loss, though one buddy but it probably won't be the last.

Nobody: I know that this is the way many feel to train for one style of fighting and it will help you to excell. I agree that if you are training for A fight you should only train for that fight. I just think that it would benefit more fighters if more people just trained there fighters from scratch to fight in all styles. This is how I always trained and it worked well for me mainly because there are some things popular in one region and others popular in others also at different times . Being able to fight in different styles gives me and my fighters more opportunities to compete so they gain alot of experience this way.
I have always trained in all styles of fighting as I train with Boxing,Kickboxing,Knees, elbows,Throws, groundfighting and self defense. This is also the way I train all of my students from day one so when they get to A high level of proficiency they are good at fighting not just one kind of fighting. If I bring A fighter out to major fights they are able to adjust to any rules if necessary. This is the way I train 4 year old children from scratch so to them it is all the same ( A fight is A fight).
In my own career I have fought under many different styles of rules and have been fairly sucessful at all of them. Having fought in Point,Continuios,Full contact,Low kick,Sanshou,Sanda,Koushu as well as trained with some of the top boxers and groundfighters in the world. I have won titles in Sanhou,Koushou and 3 Pro World Titles in Kickboxing defending them many times,so I think that I have excelled pretty well.
Actually I like to train in all styles as well as fight in them because it helps to keep me motivated to always work to get to another level.
So I guess what I am saying is that in my experience and with the experince of my Team that I think it is better for the competitor if they train from scracth to be as well rounded as possabile.
I have learned something from people that fight in many different styles and steal from all of them so it would be difficult for me to knock any style of fighting .What can I say I just love all fighting.

Sandy: I would like to see that remacth and I am sure that Craig will give it to him as he is A stand up guy.
As you know it is very difficult to make A fight with 2 guys from out of your region on A show . The cost is too high and my audience would not know either fighter.
Dennis will probably make it happen in Vegas in the future.

Speaking of Vegas I am leaving on Thursday to go to Vegas for the K1 . I hope to get to meet some of you out there. Just look for the Lowd New Yorker we always stick out in A crowd.

Yeah that guy was really nice. I feel bad for him as I had too much weight on him.

Yeah he won but he got hurt I think.

But it was a pretty good fight. I was happy.

Anyone got the video????????

The women's fight between Jackie and Angela will be FULL Rules. Without a doubt, Jackie is a much better boxer (6-0 in pro-boxing) but Angela's strenghts in Muay Thai could be a definate factor in this fight. Either way, it should be the best bout on the show.

62669 : The Latest Press Release From Dennis Warner

The Flame

World Championship Kickboxing returns to the Land of Enchantment the great state of New Mexico on June 1st, 2002 at the Santa Ana Star Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a spectacular eleven fight pro card.
WCK will make history as this event dubbed “Bad to the Bone” will be the first live PPV broadcast out of New Mexico ever (7pm Pst/10pm Est). Four fights are scheduled for the iN Demand PPV show which will include two World Title fights, one female North American title fight and a title elimination bout featuring the best up and coming USA fighters from the East and West.
The fireworks will start when IKKC California champion Danny “No Play” Brandt climbs into the ring to face KKO artist Steve Milles of New York. Danny known as a well rounded Muay Thai fighter has laid wreckage to William Sriyapai via KO and many others before losing a decision James Cook for the U.S. title and taking on his only professional loss. Steve Milles a tall lean fighter with particularly nasty knee strikes proved multi-dimensional as he KKO’d (right roundhouse) top Armenian fighter Ken Aruturuyan in the last When Worlds Collide event. This fight should be vicious and non-stop from the get go.
The second fight on the broadcast will feature world champion Pongsan Ek-Yotin defending his title against veteran John “Shadow” Washington. Pongsan who electrified viewers last year with an all out war against Cuban Raul Llopis to take the title takes on the slippery Washington in this non-mandatory title defense. Washington…known as the “Shadow” hopes to show plenty of movement and angles to disrupt and confuse the straight up Muay Thai fighting style of Pongsan. Bold like a veteran, Washington chose to take a full contact fight to sharpen his skills & stamina while not hurting his legs just three weeks before this fight. Only time will tell if this is a winning strategy.
The third fight on the broadcast brings together two accomplished female fighters who have defeated everyone in their way except for each other. Angela Rivera dubbed as the American Queen of Muay Thai will face royalty from south of the border as “The Azteca Princess” Jackie Nava comes north to find out who is the best female fighter in North America. Nava an undefeated pro boxer who has also beaten Sunshine Fettkether in Muay Thai kickboxing has tremendous hand skills to go along with a solid low kick and improving knee arsenal… Angela Rivera is renown for her relentless knee attack and great front kicks. Both of these women have focused intensity when they fight and throw every technique with bad intentions.
The main event and final fight of the PPV broadcast will feature full Muay Thai rules as Thailand’s newest sensation Pajunsuk will come to America to face former Lumpini Stadium champion Matee. Pajunsuk comes to this fight being touted as possibly the best “pound for pound” fighter in Thailand…Matee who is just under one year in America is not ready to pass the torch of “pound for pound” to his younger foe until Pajunsuk passes what Matee feels the ultimate test…..to defeat him. Matee has already shown what a world class Thai fighter can do as he dominated a frustrated Danny Steele in his first fight in the USA. Knees, elbows, kicks and hands with be flying for all five rounds as both fighters want to win this IKKC World Title fight which will guarantee a title defense in the fight capital of the world…Las Vegas later in the year….

For those lucky enough to be able to witness this fight live at the Santa Ana Star Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico seven other professional fights are scheduled for the evening. The top Muay Thai Kickboxing gyms in New Mexico will be represented as they fight foes from across the USA & Canada. Here is the full card as it stands now….

Hi Sandy! No, I fight welter and light middle. Anywhere from 145 to 154. I think Angela was 135 the last time she fought in Vegas on Toddy's card, but she also fights lighter than that, I guess down to 125. I've never fought Angela, but did fight Jackie Nava and weighed in at 139...not a good weight for me LOL!

Hi Sunshine! How has the fighting came been for you lately? Any fights? I know you where having a hard time getting anyone to fight you. How was that fight with Jackie Nava? What weight where you for that fight? I fight from 128-135 pounds. Take care.

Hey Angela! I've been boxing only this year, no MT. I've been able to fight once a month so far. Its been going really good! I lost a decision to Jackie in TJ in March 2001. She doesn't fight like a Thai boxer, she moves more like a boxer as far as footwork. She didn't like the clinch at all and either tried to get out or would wrap her arms around my waist and waited for the ref to break us up. She didn't throw many leg kicks, but did a bunch of side kicks and I think I even remember her doing a couple ax kicks. Her kicks were very good, just not what you're used to seeing in a Muay Thai match. Her hands will be good too, as she has 6 pro boxing matches. Good Luck, hopefully I'll be able to see it live.....if I can figure out if I can get it on DTV!

Angela, what Sunshine says is so true. Where she lost the fight (and it was close) was that she didn't use her Muay Thai enough. Don't be put off by her fancy style and footwork, just use your Muay Thai and clinch the hell out of her. If you let her box and move, she can steal the fight very easily. I don't think she hits particulary hard, but as Sunshine says, she is very versitile with her kicks that are very "un-Muay Thai" like. E-mail me if you want more info. Best of luck.

Sunshine, I used to be half of the management team. The other half decided that financially it wasn't viable (as if there is so much money in the sport!) to split my percent of a percent and as a result Jaquie is on her own in America. I still have the standing offer for Angela, but she won't move to Mexico to train and help me part time at the taco stand. Shame on that Angela!
Who is this guy that is fighting Heath Harris? Has anyone for Australia seen him fight?
