Now been confirmed we have two fighters coming from Norway now. I see Trevor has started another thread on the subject of Norwegian fighters looking for fights overseas and we are pleased to be having them over this week. Hopefully not for the only time this year.

I already had matched Jan Young from Swindon against Soren Siraes and now due to a problem with another fighter I have a young fighter from my gym 16 yr old Michael Buckingham fighting Wim Austgulen. It's good because it give Michael an opportunity to have an international match in only his third fight.

Just lost Dave Miller from a fight but have replaced him at the 11th hour by Darren Forrest. I've said it before Darron is my favourite fighter. You call him up, he doesn't care who its to fight, he just says yes. Always there and he has great 'fighters' attitude in the true sense of the word.

Just wanted to say 'thank you' to Colin Payne for organising a successful event. I'm pleased that I met him and from what conflict has been expressed on the Armageddon thread, it was nice to meet someone who was calm and collected.
Thanks Colin and no doubt I'm sure we'll meet again...for the fifth time!!

ps. Are you going to post some pictures of the fight...especially of Taz!
Colin Payne

'calm and collected'!!! ha ha..that's because we spoke after the event..you should have seen me 2 hours before the event when I'd just been told my MC would not be coming, some shitbag(no other word I'm afraid) of a trainer had decided to withdraw his fighter and not tell me and that the challenger for the European title had failed finally to make the agreed weight.

Seriously, thanks for your comments. The show went well and the background troubles did not stop the show from (hopefully) being a good one.

I am annoyed at the portugese fighter who came in far over the weight. The fight was changed to a non-title fight which meant I had brought over an overseas judge for no reason. George pattison stopped him in the second round, but he has lost out on making a successful defence.

Taz will be welcome back to fight anytime.

I will post full results and pictures over the next 2 days.

The Portugese fighter (and I don't mean this disrepectfully) looked like no match for George P and what was to be a grand finale to the event, was somewhat disappointing. But that wasn't your fault Colin.

I did get to see the Soren v Jan match and that was inspiring! It was good to see that the judges were fair and unbiased. Soren was the better fighter on the night and the judges decision reflected that.

I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures and possibly coming to train at your club for a few days through the Summer (as I'll be visiting my sister who lives in Streatham).

Take care and all the best for your next show in September.
