1. Muay Thai Monster is Michelle Ness (Nee Doig).
2. Both grls haven't fought for a while. Michelle for over a year. I think Louise is in the same situation!

The only thing i'll bet, is that it's going to be a cracking bout, involving two of the most 'driven' and 'talented' females in Scottish Muay Thai.

Good luck to them both!

so what is the date, venue, rules, number of rounds, contract weight, and the place to buy tickets, etc? I want to publicize it on my site.

it certainly deserves maximum support and publicicty

I would just like to say at this point.

i have never trained a basset hound, nor seen one training, or fighting, nor would i encourage others to do so, however im sure given the chance they ould train really hard , not sure what size of gloves they would wear though

I got to see 3 1/2 rounds of this fight with my good eye :) It was a nice matchup. I was impressed with both ladies too. And the sportswomanship and mutual respect for each other too as illustrated in the pic.

Are either of the fighters planning to head over to the IFMAs?

Michelle wont be.
She concentrates on Pro Muay Thai rather than Amateur.

Is it more common to have fighters start fighting no pads (pro) versus doing interclubs, eventually taking several amateur fights, then moving to the pro ranks? At least in Scotland & other areas in the UK?

To be honest, there isn't a big market here to promote Amateur MuayThai! We held a Scottish Amateur show a few years ago, which was good for the amount of fighters participating, but unfortunitly didn't attract any crowd!

I think the general way fighters are brought through here is via Interclubs, then straight into novice unpadded 3x2 modified rules! Trying to develop the Amateur side of the sport is also going to be a lot harder if the WMC can't even get organised! We finally got a large and strong team of over 35 people, most booked up to go to fight in Thailand at the World Champs, but now the have been postponed, most will not be interested in going again! As a result, we will lucky to have 3 people in the team in March!

So predominantly Pro (unpadded) in the UK in general!

Sorry, better stop Hijacking this thread, should post my 1st rant on the other thread about the World Championships getting postponed!
