Ousey fought in the States, not that impressive just a rough old boxer

One to watch out for the future...

Jade Grierson aged 14 and setting the Full Contact Scene alight. She is the current WKA English Junior Champion and will fight anyone any where.

Obviously not in the class which has been mentioned but as a prospect she is. What all those Seniors she will be as good when she makes the transistion. My opinion LOL

In rsponse to the above thread from the guy Justin:

Think that before you start spreading your uneducated opinion to the masses you may want to check your facts. Your comment shows your complete lack of knowledge to the Muay Thai scene - Which fight exactly did you see Karen fighting in in the States as to the best of my knowledge she has never fought in the States.

"Not That Impressive" - She has an UNBEATEN fight record against ALL the TOP Girls anywhere near her weight - Whats Unimpressive about that?

"Rough" - Check the picture above - Karen is one of the most femanine and attractive female fighters - that is unless you in to guys eh?

"Old" - Unless you in to kids then she aint old - check the photo (and yes that is recent)

"Boxer" - Boxing is just one of her strengths as a Thai boxer but Karen has never fought in a Boxing match and is 3xWorld Mauy Thai Champion - as well as Current Goldenbelt champion. Can she BE MORE of a Thai Boxer?

I am only replying so defensivly as Karen and Howard are great friends of mine - and always have been. They are only ever posative and friendly and only ever promote Thai Boxing in a posative mannar, they are well, well, well respected by everyone I know in the Muay Thai world - and as such dont deserve such uneducated opinions to be published.

Justin, no offence but you're a bit of a tit to say karen ousey, is just a "rough boxer"!

She may favour her hands but she has good all round technique, she's unbeaten for christ sake.

pure rudeness. on another note hope you are keeping well Lorne.

Justin, do the sunbeds increase your obvious lust for members of the same sex?

naa andy i think its being born in another country (not uk) that causes that LOL

I am keeping well thanks guys - and its good to see that I am not the only one who thought that that was out of order. Just finished our second show in Bournemouth last weekend - went really well, my partner Denise Mellor beat Emma Armour for WKA -48kg British Title.

that comment about Karen Ousey is bang out of order. Karen Ousey and Howard Hughes are Friends of mine also. If you dont like Karens style thats fair enough, if you think she can be beaten by others fair enough but to come out with the comment you did is personal and totally unfair. I would love to see you say that to Karens face rather than coming on here demeaning her in this way. You are a disgrace to the sport to make such a horrible statement. I think the best thing you can do is ring her gym and apologise for it.

One thing you may not realise is that Karen Ousey trains like a machine all year round and is undefeated!!! she will fight anybody, anywhere and at any time!!! she is not as you put a ' rough old boxer' she is a powerful, dedicated, undefeated champion who many men would love to be with. I say this respectfully because she is the partner of Howard Hughes and the mother to their child of which I have plenty of time for. The sport is hard enough for women as it is to be recognsed and then to come on here and read that must be really embarrasing for her. Personally id like to see her knock you out for saying it. In the short time your unknown (and dubiuos) name has come on here you have insulted a few of us!!! get your facts right and learn about the sport because then you will see that Ousey is for real and a three time world champ!!!

Great feedback everyone - great to see that the insult throwers are outnumbered by those with more intelligent things to say.

Dan - Karen and Howard are in Thailand at the moment - but I will definatly get him to email you soon as he returns (around the 14th I think). I will email you next week with the show report and details thanks. It was on 27th November 2005 in Bournemouth - thanks for the interest and support - it was a great show.

Angela - Karen last fought in Feb this year and is still fighting as far as I know.
