ISKA World Championship Thaiboxing
Saturday 29th March 2008
The Forum Wythenshawe Manchester M22 5RX

Tim Thomas will defend his ISKA World Crown against Frankie Hudders
Showsport International in association with Franks Gym will stage an ISKA World Championship Thaiboxing event on Saturday the 29th March at The Forum, Wythenshawe, Manchester. Local man Frankie Hudders will challenge World Champion Tim TNT Thomas for his ISKA World Welterweight Thaiboxing Title. Former World Champion Hudders won the ISKA Light-Welterweight 2002 when he defeated the Italian Champion Matteo Trevisan in his hometown of Torino, he defended the title successfully against Kieran Keddle in London stopping the challenger in the third round. Hudders vacated the title in 2005 when he could no longer make the weight limit. After a break from competing to set up his own gym Hudders has his sights set on winning another World title.
Hudders has fought all over the World in exotic locations including the Caribbean, South African and Thailand, but he is really excited about the prospect of fighting in his hometown saying ‘I can’t wait to face Thomas at the Forum the atmosphere is going to be electric, he just beat the British No.1 Michael Dicks by TKO he is a worthy Champion, I think Dicks underestimated him, I respect Thomas, I know it’s going to be a hard fight.
Hudders has only had three fights in the last three years, his last fight in February 2007 against Belgium’s Ahmedi Bejan which ended in a no contest both fighters unable to continue due to cuts. Hudders knows ring rust could be a factor, but says, I’ve been in the game for 15 years, I’ve had over 50 fights, I’ve been in with some of the best fighters in the World, I will bring all that experience into the ring with me plus months of hard training.
Hudders also wants to be recognised as the No.1 Welterweight in the UK and says I beat Kieran Keddle stopped him in three rounds and didn’t even get out of first gear, I beat Michael Dicks by unanimous decision, that fight was stopped in the fourth round because we clashed heads it went to the judge’s score cards all three judges gave it to me. I understand why both have been ranked above me because I’ve been inactive, but the independent rankings have still got Keddle at No. 1 what’s that about? Kieran is a nice guy but he’s done nothing to deserve it and has been avoiding me and Dicks for years. Dicks should have been No.1 he has been winning against good fighters, then Tim Thomas stepped up and beat him, if I beat Thomas I will be No.1 and I will offer rematches to Keddle and Dicks. Hudders was asked to predict the outcome of his match with Thomas, he said I don’t make predictions but I intend to win, I want to thank Tim Thomas for agreeing to defend his title against In Manchester.
Tim Thomas also refused to give a prediction on the outcome, he didn’t have much to say other than, I just like to get in the ring and get on with it, people know what I’m capable of, I have really focused on my training for this fight I know Hudders is a dangerous opponent. Like Hudders Thomas won his world title on foreign soil, in 2005 he defeated Farid Laidhouni in Belgium, the following year he made a successful defence against Lloyd Cochran in Glasgow. Thomas did hint at who his next opponent might be saying after the Hudders fight I will looking to fight James France or Jordan Watson Bad Company are the team to beat at the moment.

There will be a strong supporting card featuring Andy Thrasher against Phil Pullen, Tony Horbury against Joe Coville with Colin Johnson, Leroy Magardo and Dean James matches to be confirmed.

Is this a Paul Hennessey promotion?

Looks like a cracking match up.
I think it would be a very interesting fight between either Jordan Watson or James France with either of these guys.

I was wondering about when this show might start having a thread, didn't feel it my place to start it, but untill now not seen any mention of it anywhere.
That's a "very interesting" choice of words noi, ;-)
I personally think Frankie will have too much for Tim, although that'll be if he doesn't do the same as me and Michael, and get bombed off his right hand.
Looking forward to this as it'll be my first fight of the year, and Phil has had a good last year from all accounts.
The forum is a lovely venue, and with the crowd that is expected the atmosphere will be electric.

hudders v thomas will be a good match, never seen frankie in action so will be looking forward to this! jordan or france would both make cracking opponents for thomas, would love to see either of them against him.

Thrasher v Pullen, both top guys and both love a good scrap too lol. it's gonna be a nice fight to watch but i'm gonna have to go with my good mate thrashpot for this one though.

didnt tim and james fight at pain n glory 06 with badger winning?
AndyBC
Posted: 2008-02-25 11:08:29
Yeah Wainey, Badger took fight on a days notice and won by ko, dropped tim with an elbow then finished with a knee to head. I no that Tim is on the look out for a rematch so would be good maybe at Leeds Town Hall, with badger just winning the Euro title in outrageous fashion would be nice if tim keeps his title to defend it against the badger baiter. Will be a good fight and could go either way but Tim is on a roll at the min and Frank not fought for age's and then there is always if his badly scared shin will hold up to it too.

i'd love to rematch france win or lose - he's a great fighter - proven, and in great form at the moment and would be a good 3rd defence if i can defeat hudders,i think i underestimated france before and will def be sure not to do that again-don't think my jaw cud handle it!

as for Frankie - Just gonna do my best as i always try to do - and its a day after my 25th B day so would be a quality Bday if i win!!

RE: Kieran Keddle and the rankings

I can appreciate some people questioning Kieran's number one spot on recent activity. However no-one else has been consistently fighting world class opposition for the last 3 years like he has (Fikri, Andrei Kotsur, Kaoponglek, Danthai, Withayanoi Sitkuanim) and whilst there are a couple of losses in there (as there will be with anyone who fights constantly at top level) none of them are stoppages. He's also not been challenged by those directly below him.

All credit to Tim he's on a roll at the moment and that's what has got him up to number 2.
Whoever wins out of Frankie & Tim they are more than welcome to challegne Kieran for top spot. Kieran has fights up till August 16th booked but is currently free 4 weeks after that. He'd also more than welcome fighting Imran Khan too. He's not avoiding anyone domestically.

If Kieran starts fighting regularly at 63.5 then we'll also look at moving him to that category but his last fight was at 67.

Great fight and good luck with it lads..

Im throwing in my 50 on Pullen to win. Tougher then leather Pullen is. Open him up and Thrashers got even more trouble. In regards to Tim.... Id say very talented. Maybe underestimated aswell. Good chance to KO Hudders...All in all Hudders is hardcore and very skilled. Tim's gonna be in for a tough time.Good luck the both of you.

I'll have to agree with what Martin said, take the Thrasher/Pullen fight round by round. Both hard punchers, both can trade and war,but also can show good technical skills. Phils really up for this and has been training very hard, as Im sure Andy is too.

Jordan is in part assisted in his promotion and training by liam harrison. For the title to be valid he is to be considered a representative of liams region.

Or you could consider that if you compete in a region. you are entitled to try for the titles on offer in that area.

I hope itll be a good fight any way regardless of the "area" distinction

the belts at 57max. well actually 56.5kg so paul tells me. it'll be a same day weight in for sure.

And of course you can be lighter just not heavier. JOrdan has more experience and comes from an excellent background. Both are the same age and both promise great things for the future.

Andy and Phil was a complete war from start to finish, Pullen has to have one of the hardest chins in the business. One very respected Nak Muay even said it was the best domestic fight between two British Fighters! Not taking anything away from Phil, Andy made it little hard for himself but Phil was a lot better than I expected.

Tim and Frank very close, I wasn't proper judging, but I had Frank ahead at the end of the third, even though Tim was throwing god punches mixed with some nice clincha nd knees, Frank was scoring very well with the left body. Turning point came in the fourth when Tim put Frankie down, he chased Franka round the ring for the rest of that round. Frank came back at the start of the last round but I still think Tim shaded it and should have got the fight.

Two great wars to finish with, onwards and upwards for British Muay Thai

Some great fights tonight.
Thrasher V Pullen was an absolute war. Both traded very clean hurtful shots.
Thrasher landed a peach of a left hook to drop Phil, but it didnt really take the wind out of his sales and carried on trading... Thrasher took a good points win. Nice one Andy.

I was one of the judges in the close-fought bout between Frank and Tim.
I had a few people come up to me afterwards displaying their disaproval of my decision to give it to Frank. I think Franks unanswered sharp left kick was telling in the fight. Tim had a lot of success with punches, and knocked Frank down for an 8-count in round 4, however one of the overlooked things that I think alot of people missed was the way in which Frank turned it around at the end of the round rocking Tim, and also cutting him under his eye. This then made it in to a 10-9 round, due to the come back.
I know it seems a little cliched, but its a shame there had to be a victor and a runner-up in this extremely close fight. Well done to both guys.
I can understand people voicing their concerns, but this was my decision as I saw the fight.
Well done to Frank.
Congratulations.

Sawatdee Khrup!

Alongside Richard I too judged Frank as winning an extremely close fight. The crieria for me was the same, the front round kick was countering Tim's punch low kick combos and this scores higher. I know Tim will be disappointed as no doubt due to the closeness of the fight he amongst others would have thought he won. However judges descisions, however unpopular sometimes, are 'decisions' and not 'opinions' and are based upon scoring criteria, proximity to the fight, experience and of course judgement. I appreciate that there will be some 'opinions' made regarding the decision as there always will be in a close fight.
What is more important though is that two great British athletes put on a fantastic performance both fighting from the heart and 'both' should be commended. Frankie is now the world champion but I know Tim will be starting to put this behind him and no doubt look towards a re-match and I belive that will be an even greater fight.

As a footnote Andy Thrasher v Phil Pullen was amazing both guys were tremendous and a credit to our sport a win that Andy had to earn from Phil as neither guy was going to give it away.

If they have a re-match i'd bring more security LOL like a SAS division! i bet there was murder after. The fight was great cant comment on the decision was to close call for me, 2 high level athletes doing really well. Well done frank.

Got to say tho Thrasher v Pullen was fight of the night for me, professional through to the end, a war, respectful, we shared a changing room with phil pullens team and they were top people too.

Like said earlier "onwards and upwards for British muaythai".

for me round 4 was a definate 10-8 round.....frank was very close to gettin stopped and was out on his fight after he got up and was falling about the ring, he came back and cut tim but didnt rock him! I dont know how frank lasted the 4th round he showed great heart.
frank then started winning the 1st part of the last round but turned his back in the clinch 3 or 4x....1st round was 10-10 i gave frank 2 and 3 Tim 4 big and 5. was a great fight and everyone is gonna have different opinions thats mine...
As ive already said i thought Thrasher and phil was best uk fight ive ever seen....as most know im good mates with Andy and was sat next to his corner with my heart in my mouth for the full fight, ive never seen 2 fighters so happy to stand there and punch each others faces and love it so much....was the 1st time i got chance to speak to phil and hes a great guy i cant wait to see him fight again, so exciting!! A good win for thrash against a very strong phil pullen.

Wow!! What a night!!

I am so proud of Phil. It was a fantastic fight against Andy. I can not believe that they were both standing at the end of the fight. I truly have never seen Phil rocked like that, but he came back well. Phil didnt go down but was rocked hard and fell into the corner and the ref gave him a count, which was correct. Both fighters were true warriors and gave the crowd a fantastic night. I want to say that Andy Thrasher and Darren Phillips are both gentlemen of the sport and it was a pleasure to be in the opposite corner.
Next up for Phil is Mike Wakeling, while Andy has Rab Burt.... no easy fights then guys??!! :)

On the Hudders/Thomas fight, I felt that Tim had it, but I have to say that I was watching it as a fan, rather than a judge. It was a great fight, and Frankie did so well to survive that 4th round. I really thought it was all over. The one dissapointing thing for me was the bad blood and bad words after the fight. We are all sportsman and should conduct ourselves accordingly. Tim showed some dignity in what must have been a crushing blow to him.
Would love to see a rematch though!! :)

Great changing room antics, sharing with Bad co, Sandy and Sapphire. Good to meet you to Simon, see ya today in Bracknell!! :)

Jordan Calder V Aiden Greenwood didn't happen....I don't know the reason
Briancal
Posted: 2008-03-30 12:15:42
Jordan's fight didn't happen because Aiden couldn't make the weight. Jordan weighed in at 57 kgs with all his clothes on and Aiden weighed in at 60 kgs. Jordan still wanted to fight but I wouldn't let him, too much weight to give away and he is still only 14, Paul Hennessey gave Jordan the belt though and the title, that's all I'm saying on this.

regrettably Aiden failed to maintain the weight loss programme I schedued for him and simply weighted in heavy. Jordan claimed the belt by default.

Certainly a disapointment and Aidens loss. He'll pay more attention next time to my instructions.

In a twist of irony I accepted a fight for my lad Rikki against Simons lad giving away 3kgs on the night. When fighters are that young there are many many external influences outside the control of the trainer.

Oh its worth mentioning that rikki lost his fight against Darren who frankly outshone rikki from the first bell.

Naturally I hate simon audley and darren! LOL! congrats lads!

GREAT fight between Andy Thrashpants V Phil pullen,Always a crackin fight with Andy and what two great fighters and chins! Fight of the night for me.

Good to see the 2 heavyweight guys in there too,And a crackin shot from the lad from Burnley to win.

I was supporting Frankie in his fight,But as a spectator i thought Tim should have got the win.But there may have been a riot if he'd lost.BUT a great performance from both fighters. Not great to see everybody piling in the ring,But it was a electric atmosphere!

Well done also to a ex-training buddy and fellow sparring partner at times,Matt m+m montague(Sandy's),He is a great young man with a nice polite attitude.Well done!

Just want to thank everyone who supported me and to say that i won't let this decision stop me,theres plenty more to come from me this year

Some times external influences have an impact upon any decision we make in life. why would any one imagine a decision might not swayed in line with popular opinion.

I am in no position to judge the fight as I was not paying judging levels of attention and have no right to question the decision of this fight. Judging is a subjective art, that has each judge offer their interpretation of the action played out before them. Each offering a unique perspective from their viewing angle.

Tim enjoyed the mantle of aggressor for the earlier rounds and looked strong. but as it was pointed out to me. we score techniques, strikes and effect. not facial expression or demeanor of the fighters.

What is a fact though is the job of judging that fight, in that venue, with that partisan crowd in support of a local hero was no picnic. and respect to those judges for accepting the job.

stafford vocal support is one thing gangs of thugs is quite another.

dave croft frankie did not win this fight the judges must have been scarred to score correctly or they had no knowledge of the sport.

i have to agree with thai_tilidie, vocal support is one thing and it's always a good thing for the fighters. i didn't agree with the booing towards tim, but then again i don't agree with booing any fighter, quote me if i'm wrong but i think someone went to have a go at tim which is completely wrong!
there were people clambering over the tables to get into the ring and it's a bloody scary thing! it's like footie fans invading the pitch! i think that's something that shouldn't happen, it simply isn't safe!

Tim wasnt deterred by any of that one bit tho, it seemed to make him perform better he really seemed to be enjoying it.....Tim seems to thrive on being the underdog and always pulls out top performances when people think hes up against it.
Is it me or does tim look like a taller floyd mayweather??
Dave Croft
Posted: 2008-03-31 07:58:58
I did feel that Tim had it but left before the final bell as there were young people in my group for whose safety I had responsability.

But its of no matter what i thought. I was not a judge. But regardless of why? The judges accepted the job knowing it to be a hard one. And for that I offer my respect. I may not agree with the decision. But declare openly i was not attempting to judge it and am not prepared to question those given that task on an open forum.

I had tim take round four with a ten/eight. Which if all judges recognised had tim six full points ahead assuming the first three rounds drawn. Which they werent. Frankie was much stronger in the fifth round and edged it. Across three judges that brings him 3 full points nearer. Tim still has a three point spread.

Im advised one of the judges exercised his perogitive and gave tim the knock down round a ten nine as he felt Frankie came back enough to nullify the Eight count. My thoughts are that an eight count results in a ten eight round.

But before every one runs away with the notion the judges got it wrong because of crowd pressure. Which of you would have done the job in their place.

Whatever; Im sure this will run and run.

My son was sitting ringside helping to time keep and at the end of the 4th round I went down and told him when the fight ends to come up and stand beside me on the stage because if Frankie didn't get the decision there would have been a riot. And the scenes at the end with all those people invading the ring when he won kind of proved that. And at the end when we were walking out we were behind Tim Thomas and this stupid girl gave him abuse, total disgrace, probably pissed though and thought she was king kong. I noticed she said it after he had walked by her and not to his face nuff said. On the decision the fight I gave it to Tim Thomas.

How about a rematch offer on your next show Zebs? And another rematch for Thrasher and Pullen. Would'nt that make the night spectacular. The crowd I saw were just being ignorant. No respect. The decision stays as i am no judge when asked who won i said dunno, thats not my job everyones has a view so thats just life was great see everyone, the crowd where passionate as all the Wythenshawe lot are put he is well loved by them all he is great with kids and is typical jack the lad with a wicked sense of humour and a straight talker for that i like him, there will be rematch as Franks stated Tim gave me my chance i will give him his, well done love me x

DAVID MC ........ M7.Security Solutions did the Security for this show as we do for most of the Thai and Kickboxing Shows. I was instructed by the shows promoters to assign a 12 man team of which I did so. 12 men is twice the number of men that I normally put on for other shows. We can only go with what the promoters and venue managers require ( due to costing ) Im sure that you understand costing issues. I myself climbed into the ring and stood next to Tim Thomas and my team were more than competant to make sure that he got safely back to his dressing room , whatever the fight outcome. I had even briefed Tims team of the procedure to ensure his safety , which of course was paramount to myself ..... and believe me when I say this .... He was in safe hands !!!. I have looked after many people over the years both as an individual and as part of a team. I was a soldier for many years and have often had to count on my experience to assist people. Yes we were vastly out numbered , But there were no fights, no throwing of objects and no one was hurt. People did get into the ring but only after I had got Tim out and we needed 4 security staff to run the gauntlet with him to his dressing room. At no time was his safety compromised and nor did I feel he would be hurt. Given the circumstances I feel that we took a potentially volatile situation and took Tim to a safety zone. The people that got into the ring after I had got Tim out were there to see Frankie ( their local hero ) Yes people were stood up shouting and jeering as the fight was in full flow, But I had my men positioned around the ring to keep people from ringside. In an ideal world maybe Frankie should have taken the microphone and apealed to his supporters to sit down and represent him in a more apealing manner, who knows. I have been representing many promoters over the years and I have been more than happy and honoured to do so. I do not under any circumstances employ BULLY BOY BOUNCERS who scare and intimidate people, though of course thet need to be able to handle themselves if the worst came to the worst. I pride myself on having staff represent me, and more importantly prommoters who are polite, professional way. As some one once said " its nice to be important , But its more important to be nice ". I hope that this clarifies your question as to who did the Security. If I can assist you further please contact me. Thank You. Martin Hollingworth.

Just as a footnote to another thread,It would have been a riot if Frankie had'nt had won and the ring invasion is one reason why muay thai won't go forward or get picked up by big TV companies.
If you have Lager fuelled fans you will always get that kind of reaction.
The security was good by Martin,But outnumbered.

I was the referee on Saturday night and as Martin says his guys did a great job of controlling the situation with just 12 men.

I worked security recently at one of Frank Warrens Pro Boxing Shows in Liverpool and there were around 80 Security Personnel looking after the crowd. 43 local Premier Security Lads and his own team that do all the shows for him. The olympia holds around 1500 so was probably only 2 times the size of the one on Sat.

I was still in the ring when everyone invaded and I didn't feel threatened enough to leave. I simply took the microphone off the MC and pushed my way through the crowd around Frankie and asked him to ask his crowd to leave the ring and thats what he did.

It was a great fight and as a referee I wasn't judging but I did stand there waiting for the decision at the end thinking it was really really close.

On a side note i nearly burst out laughing when Pullen hit Thrasher with a decent punch and then asked him "are you ok" to which Thrasher answered "yeah" and hit him back!

Martin Im sure Dave Mc was only asking as the thread seemed to suggest there wasnt any security. I think that your guys were great. and professional as ever. but frankly 12 versus a massed cohesive group is a no win situation. As i know from my experiences that very night at my club.

I know I expressed an opinion as to the out come but truly believe rushing to an immediate rematch does nothing for the sport. whether you agree with the result. it stands. and its the champions perogative to accept a challenge as and when he sees fit. Im sure that Tim edged it and posted that opinion along with the admission i was neither focussed upon judging or paid to be one and therefore; have no say.

a great fight and congratulations to Frankie. Im sure Tim will be stronger as a result of this and come back harder

As one of the judges, at no point did I feel threatened by the "thug-element".
All I saw was an enthusiastic young crowd (most of the vocal group with the banners, must have been about 12-15yrs old). I think it was some of the older lads that rushed in the ring, that came from ringside VIP tables, that should have known better.

I believe I gave an open and honest decision on my interpretation of the fight.
There was not a conscious thought that entered my head about my own personal safety, should I give the decision against the home town crowd.
I was accompanied by one or two of the M7 Security Solutions Team, stood at my shoulder for the duration of the fight.
Thanks Martin.

ok i wasnt going to comment and seeing as no one has actually mentioned the 3rd judge?
i will give you a clue.......
i judged and had the pleasure to do the last 5
i say pleasure because Andy Thrasher and Phil Pullen was simply Outstanding !
anyway
heres the drills !
1. I took my fighter to Fight and corner and with 20 of us supporting from Bolton !
2. I was asked to Judge and was Very Much up and ok for it !
i scored correctly and all 3 of was Consistant up to the last fight !
3. you want my scores?

ive used all my Learning and MuayThai Scoring thats been Paramount in recent times of the Muay thai Criteria !
I say Effect as this is the Highest Judging Criteria alongside
the "Not be Influenced by the Crowd or a Favourite etc"!

4.Before i get to the Score? Can i say this on a personal level Not a prof: one
if you Know what i mean?

ok if i was to be Influenced? / Biased do you Know who it would be ???
heres some clues........

A) Ive Known Frankie Hudders for over 15 years and always found him a top guy and always friendly and Never had a problem with him Ever !
B) hes a Manc Lad, 15 Miles from Bolton
C)Ive commentated and judged his fights before
D) My fighters on his show
E) Ive known Tim Thomas about 2 / 3years and only ever spoken to him 1 or 2 times and can only say ive watched about 10 of his fights and must say Like Frankie an outstanding fighter whom IMO has rocketted to the Top as a worthy Champion, by beating some top names along the way to that World Title ( ie: Michael Dicks, Andy Thrasher )

Ok so you do the Fav: / Biased Rating?

Now read My Scores the One that the Crowd probably didnt hear too much

Round 1
10 / 10 * Star Blue Corner
Round 2
10 / 9 win Blue corner
Round 3
10 / 10
round 4
10 / 8 Blue Corner win, 100% a knockdown NO Dispute!!!
Round 5
9 / 10 Red Corner a Massive Recovery of an Athlete !
49 47 if you want the points
but its not points its who got the nod ?
But as you can see who won though on muay-thai scoring !
id liek Tony myers to check the fight and my and judges scores!

ok now again you do the Maths for the Majority Win on 2 Judges ! not mine
Sorry Frankie and Team
Nothing Personal AT ALL
In fact you was Superbly Conditioned and to comeback in the 5th: a massive respect and Testiment to you and your team !

p.s. NOPE ive not got Big balls, im not that brave or hard either !
i must be just stupid?
But i wouldnt give in to outside influence !
ref: Not giving to that hostile end to the fight
p.p.s
Martin and Team did the Best as Any Security could do i thought they did a Top Job as ever !
you would have needed 100 + security to have even got close to sorting that situ out !
there was about 10 max they did good

ok i wasnt going to comment and seeing as no one has actually mentioned the 3rd judge?
i will give you a clue.......
i judged and had the pleasure to do the last 5
i say pleasure because Andy Thrasher and Phil Pullen was simply Outstanding !
anyway
heres the drills !

C)Ive commentated and judged his fights before
D) My fighters on his show

franky was in best shape ive ever seen him and the fight was fought at a ridiculously fast pace from start to finish, he was very sharp with his left kick especially in 2 and 3, still cant believe he got up from the knockdown cos Tim can finish a fight with 1 shot and frank took at least 7 before he went down.....will there be a reamtch??? or can badger france start chasing the title cos hes iska european champ at same weight and itching to fight for the belt. :)

"p.s. NOPE ive not got Big balls, im not that brave or hard either !

How do you know that this wasnt a subconcious positive discrimination?
You were that adamant not to be be influenced by these external influences, that you could of potentially been influenced, and swung the other way....
(Rhetorical statement)

Saying all these things, I think, is starting to detract from what a fantastic bout this was. It was extremely close, hence the debate.... I think we should let sleeping dogs lie and applaud both guys on a great fight.
There are certainly grounds for a rematch, but as has already been stated above, this is the champions perogative.

Oi Crofty this is your first and last warning haha

Judges, stop explaining yourselves. That's half the problem with this sport judges having to beg for recognition! You judged it, the decision was made so people should get over it! Judging like politics is an opinion!

i too was not going to add to this debate but certain aspects of it have clouded what was an exceptional night of fights (all fighters desevrve credit) firstly let me say this so called hooligan element of which some people have commented i did not see .however i did see i lot of local guys supporting their man. is freindly banter being confused with hooliganism ie hatton/mayweather i dont condone the booing but it happens and were tims fans not involved? i would suggest poeple watch footage about end of the 1st round of the fingers pointed like guns and shouts of brat brat!!why you would wish to taunt an area with more guns per mile than afghanistan i do not no! as a spectator i thought that single action would have triggered the so called hooligan element of frankies lot but they did not rise. a fact i am grateful as i attended with my 8yr old son and his best friend . i think high spirits have been confused with hooliganism i havent read yet of these hooligans assaulting, robbing or abusing anybody! they may have been exuberant in celebration . the bad blood after the fight was a member of tims entourage shouting at frankie to pay him whatever for the rematch.all of what i have said i witnessed from my poisition and will be in any unedited footage of the fight. ps i dont want to be the bearer of bad news tim but i man i do not know leaving the event claims you kneed his wife in the hip /thigh after she consoled you on the loss of the fight.he said he was considering police action and had witnesses

robiedobdob just to educate you a little young man when eople raise their fingers tand shout brap brap (not brat brat) its a form of expression. its just like having your clenched fist in the air shouting yes yes.thats all so keep your afghanistani ignorant nonsense talk down.that was not a way of intimidation so get your facts right.the position i was in watching the fight i saw alot of ignorance coming from frankies side and this kind of behaviour from fighters supporters is wrong and should not happen.all fighters should get respect from interclubs to a class and from bad fighters to good fighters.no one regardless of their stats who goes into the ring should have booooooo shouted at them.and robiedobdobble you shouldnt be posting acusations about tim like that on a forum.of an attack on a woman.you should know better than that young man.great fight and lots of respect to tim and frank for their part.

i am not trying to attack tims chracter just to enlighten him on the acusations that were made after the event if i was able to tell him personally i would have done so . you have stated some valid points which i will take on board but this is the reason i was reluctant to post an opinion because i do not wish to be drawn into a slagging match with individuals who wish to call people little and ignorant.sorry for any offence caused and as i stated it was claimed.as noi666 wrote i think enough has been said on this matter. i tend to agree. and if tim and frankie wish to have a rematch lets hope its more conclusive!

quote dave j "this is what i love about Muay Thai"
British Muay Thai(or maybe european?) but Thailand? I dont think so, Both Boxers tend to know who has won most of the time over there in my experience,so no controversy, just another way of showing how much we are still behind Thailand imho.

On a lighter note anyone thats ever handled a hand gun and tried to shoot one like Yo Samitty Sam the walt disney character will know that the only danger is to the cieling plaster and wall fittings. and rarely have fingers had the same ballistic effect LOL! That guy was a bit wild but funny too.

I dont think I ever said the crowd were hooligans? But I did think their enthusiasm might spill over into violence such was the angst between both groups.

Dave Jackson its sunny in California right now. Sun block for the head....Pack it or regret it!

And before you go change the rules of AX. No anonymous posts! saves a lotta shit.

i know people are in there trying to knock eachother out but its nothing personal, its just a hobby.until people are paying £40,000 a year for you to have a fight every 4-6 weeks cant see point in spectators getting so worked up about it, people dont see beyond what the boxers are like in the ring and some of the hardest hitters and dangerous people in the ring are such polite nice people outside it. neutral rematch and winner fights james france there could be an amazing 8man for pos5 at 67 now with some of the displays the guys at this weight have pulled off recently.

france
thomas
dicks
hudders
thrasher
rab burt
pullen
and the winner out of me and douglas, lol like a challenge.

I cannot understand why its now a case of lets forget this incident, It would no doubt been a very violent ending if the judges had not scored the fight to frankie hudders.

these men and girls also was not also just on alcohol horrible night really was and i was very intimidated by the whole thing

dave croft i really dont have a clue what you are writing and talking about most of the time you are always talking about hands guns, machine guns etc why not go join a cowboy forum and post on that :)

just watched the clips on youtube. in my own opinion tim won the fight. from the rounds given on youtube and the angle it shows which is pretty clear to see a good clear view to give a good opinion i think tim won. where is round 2? the 4th round was deffo a 10-8, frankie was rocked and didnt really seem to recover properly for the rest of that round. decision has been made though. hope tim gets the rematch.

LOL! it was a theme, private joke if you will with Liam and the lads some time ago, and the guns reference is a piss take on bicep size. not real guns? DOH?. Though on this ocasion I was simply illustrating the chap at the show gesturing with his hands was just having a game and no threat to the crowd and I didnt see what the fuss was about.

You are clearly dont like me and trying to get a rise out of me on a public forum from an anonymous post but Im interested in argueing. Lifes too short.

after reading some of the comments regarding the hudders v thomas fight i would like to add a few comments of my own.myself, partner and 2 children attended the show and a no time during the night did i feel intimidated or threatened by the crowd. All i saw was a crowd of people of all ages supporting a local man.not many people have had the chance to watch frankie fight as many of his fights have been aboard so it was expected to attract a large crowd with high spirts.after watching the fight over an over i belive the decision was right.i feel tim relied on his right hand to much where as frankie brought with him to the ring a fantastic display of thai boxing :- push low high and insideleg kicks, elbows and heart when he was knock down in the 4th round and came back to finish the round strong showing he is a true champion.i feel it is an unfair comment to suggest that people were on more than just alcohol(thai-tillidie)did you see what your surggesting? as"asumptions being the mother of all f***ups"i would like to say well done to all the fighter for a putting on a great display what a night cant wait for the next one

Chaps, what this thread has developed into aint Muay Thai. Rightly or wrongly a decision has been made. Let's move on, if we don't the sport / art surely won't and get the exposure it deserves.

Let's move on. Not sure if there's some winding up and trolling happening on here at moment

I think i could make a special effort to get down to 67 one last time for an 8 man of that quality ha ha!! pos 5 eh!? who knows?

As far as the frankie tim fight goes i didnt see it but there is a lot of debate on it thats is not called for. 3 judges are there to make a decision, they did end of! shit happens get over it. Sorry if that sounds harsh but its true!!

LOL. You all have to go and spoil my plans don't you! After POS2 8man, I always planned to revisit 67kg, especially if the defending champion is on-board! LOL. Seriously though, I have initial lineups upto POS6 and already thinking about 7, partly due to OCD!

Anyway, great fight, shame about all the controversy, the only way to address it now is a rematch on neutral ground with officials both sides are happy with, bound to be another good fight!
