This has to be confirmed by Jason Vassallo's trainer who is away on holiday, back at the end of this week. Jason has been challenged but it has to be said at only 5 weeks notice, let's wait and see

As with all good pro shows these days, Kash has his proffessional fighters supported by a quality Amatuer fight.
For the Amateur Light Middleweight Jnr World Title 72.5KG a match between Tyler and Philipp Ulsamer. Tyler two times European Jnr Amateur Champion faces the World Light continuous Light middleweight Champion, who is also German Nation Jnr Full contact Champion Ulsamer. promises to be a gud en.

Again i warn you people that think Jason is washed up,you are very wrong.HE IS BACK!!!
Credit to Simon Akufo though,he is a good fighter and he gave it everything and didnt stop goin.

Sunny Hira won his 3rd world title in an early stoppage.

Tyler shakespeare done the business against a very game and tough german opponent! I'd never seen Tyler fight before but he is very good,a stylish fighter.

Those that know the game will know that to really put your achievements in prospective you have to judge them by the person you beat to achieve what you have achieved not what name, or how big, or how many titles you hold. That said Tyler became a proper world Champion last night having just and we do mean just beat one hell of a fantastic martial artist in Philipp Ulsamer, the word fighter would not do this fella justice, this guy has the lot technique power skill and above all humility. If there are any other 72kg Amatuer fighters out there that really want to test themself at the max then this is the guy, there is no praise to great for him pure class, awesome. So in years to come when Ty looks back on his achievements he will no doubt take pride in naming this guy as the fella he beat to take his title.
Too Philipp Ulsamer and the Dragon Gym in Wurzburg Germany I forward you Tylers and indeed the IFA's utmost respect.

One things for sure Sunny Hira is a proud champion who holds his head high as he should three governing bodies have accepted him good enough to fight for their world title and each time he has took them. Another sure thing is Kash in each occasion has had nothing to do with picking his opponent and he certainly does not nurse his fighters, anyone who knows him will tell you that. So you can only beat who they put in front of you and Sunny keeps doing that FACT. As for Ricky and Shaun well Shaun don't do low kick and I don't think Ricky could do the weight, both good fighters though I grant you. Hey ! heres an idea about them gettin it on together, that would be a good en for sure. Seriously both lads are good but if the statss don't add up then that's that init.

I am sure this show was sanctioned by ISKA originally until kash took over WKA so no influence there then and the original ISKA german opponent was changed to a latvian WKA one so no influence there either yep the stats dont match up so fight foreign nobodies at lowkick so you dont have to meet the best british at FC.

Jason Vassallo's title was retained by split decision.. The MC was a little inexperienced so announced the judges scores incorrectly (although the end result was the same). The fact remains that both fighters really produced the goods on the night and showed a huge amount of respect for each other - before, during & after the bout. This is a great fight to show on TV and bring the casual sports fans into kickboxing!

Yes Mark, Sunny does only fight low kick and continues to take on all comers and beat em. And if you listen to the purist then this is real kickboxing. To you upside down sorry I mean inside out then shut the ---- up you are obviously quite well informed but still remain ill informed. As for the Germans record I say this I would stand this guy up against anyone in the world, and put my shirt on him, any takers, no, I thought not.

blackrose, you are 100% right sean dosent fight lowkick at the moment, sunny under these rules is the best in britain,it is up to colin and carl to change the rankings in the featherweight division, all im trying to do is push sean forward under fc rules as i was so often told last year that rankings mean more than titles!.did paul collins not fight?and does he fight fc or lowkick.thanks nath
Blakrose
Posted: 2008-06-10 08:08:12
Paul Collins does fight low kick If I remember right his last fight was low kick, but that was some time ago now, and he didn't fight Sunday. David your right to try to promote your guy he is quality, and maybe the rankings do need to be looked at but they are open to suggestion and information. And Farhad you got more chance finding Lord Lucan mate.

Pauls last fight was full contact but yes he does fight low kick as well.. His world title (won against wayne quemina - *spelling*) is a full contact title won over 12 rounds between the 2 top fighters in the division at the time. Unfortunately he has not fought since october 2005.

Hi Dean thanks mate, as for Ty's immediate future well first its a nice rest, that said he was off to start work this morning. But with regard to his fighting career well it would be easy for me too let him off the lease and have him fight pro, but Tyler will tell you he is long way off from developing the style he wants fight, so he will stay amateur for a while yet. Good Champions defend we all know, so if the opportunity arises then that must be a priority. And then of course Ty boxes as well, so who knows what will happen there. In kickboxing he has always fought as the underdog, either giving away weight, more often age, sometimes both.
Within the WKA and EFK he is a jnr until he is eighteen so time is on his side, I have longed for the day when he starts a fight with the stats stacked in his favour, maybe this should prevail for a while until Kash, he, and myself feel he is ready to go onto the open market. You would have to look at the upcoming eight man tournament to judge where Tyler is at the moment, and that little meeting I think labelled KBOX had the likes of Dean Sugden, Ricky Gammon, Lex Easdon, Fran Zucalla, John Orchard Maybe even a slimmer more trim Mick Crossland ( lol Ty thinks ya wicked man. ) init at first conception, but you get my meaning, when he is ready to move around with these guys, is when we will put him out as a pro. Well that’s the plan for now anyway.
THE BULLDOG
Posted: 2008-06-11 06:29:23
Just to confirm the independent rankings position (for the next publication).

Paul Collins will be removed until such times as he re-establishes himself. We agreed initially to hold fire until he had fought on this event. As this did not happen we have to class him as innactive at this time.

Sunny Hira will also be adjusted as his continuing endeavours in the low kick division (which I congratulate him on) are now holding up the progress of other fighters in full contact.

Both fighters are only one fight away from being back in contention should they select full contact as their future style and we wish them well in whatever direction they choose to take.

This show will be shown on the new internet fight channel - shoutfight.com. Just part of what looks to be some really top notch programming.

interesting match that Scott, it will put one of two things in prospective for Ty really, as there as been a little chat about Ty and Sam getting it on. My advice to Sam would be train hard and stay very tight, as this lad has got a proper dig on him. Keep us up to speed if you would please. All the best Alan

Just caught up with this thread.

Congratulations to Tyler!! A deserved and credible World champion. I've been a fan of him since i first ever saw in Matlock when i was just getting introduced to the sport. His class stood out a mile then so its good to see he is fulfilling his potential! I agree Blakrose, keep him away from the pro's for a while!! A least til i retire! LOL!

Jaime Gilbert has never fought Sunny Hira.. He knocked out a guy called Steve Lahore who was a b class fighter at best.
He did beat Pual Collins and is a tidy fighter but do bear in mind Collins had just had hard leg kick fight with the experienced Billy Saul and he does fight in the division below Jaime. No disrespect to Jaime because he is a top fighter from what i've seen but he has more meaningful victories than that under his belt - as they say - a good big-un beats a good little-un every time!
