bish, bash, bosh !!!!!! (is that a technical term lol)

love it nathan - think this is what we should call the show!!!

current agreement 63kg absolute max, i will be happy if i can push for 62kg, but see what damage xmas does! it certainly won't be any heavier.

rob is gradually getting lighter so will be interesting to see what his camp decide throughout 2009 but for february will stay at super lightweight.

both rob & mike are prospects able to float between the 2 divisions, which is a nice little mix up!

there are a few tear up bouts available for both of them at either weight & anouther good example whereby the rankings have opened up interesting fight opportunities.

also respect to both camps - not one word of question about 8 rounds which instantly quantyfies credibility to coaches, clubs & fighters.

its refreshing when instructors genuinely want their fighters to be the best they can, at 8 rounds, you just cant fudge it so respect due for that.

Jon Eames and Mike Nudd Rematch would be a good tear up at lightweight! :)

are you back in the mix then Jon??

Good match up by the way.

weight will be 62.2kg max or 64.5kg max by the way. Both titles are vacant. Both men would qualify provided Diesel gets past Steven Cook on Absolute Adrenaline - New independent rankings will reflect his move to the pro's and his obvious amateur pedigree.

sorry carl - of course your right, thats the correct title definition, i should have expanded on my explanation -

as mike is coming up in weight, we have a gentlemans agreement from H that rob will not come in over 63kg (which was what he weighed in at on my november show) & unless touchgloves request differently, that will be honoured regardless of the scope.

good spelling from mike above,??will have to switch computer off daytimes.lol

dan---mike is billed to fight stacey gosden on the iska march show in circus tavern.
the diesel fight is at the weight above and is mikes warm up bout for stacey, but this is not to say that it will be easy for mike,i watched mr diesel in stevenage and thought he was great and not to be underestimated.mike as you can see in the vid above can hit hard and accurate, but can also take a good shot,so its the makings of a good bout for dawns show.
gonna go with mike win by stoppage or rob points.

Just to throw a spanner!

Is Nudd v Gosden for a title?

If so and Deisel wins in the Circus Tavern does Rob get to fight Stacey?

P.S. Nice to see Stacey fighting domestic again!

Just to answer a couple of questions:

The Stevens V Nudd Fight is made at 64.5kg (regardless of what they agree to weigh in at). So in effect the result won't particularly affect the Gosden V Nudd contest which is at the lower weight. Diesel, i presume will continue to campaign at the higher weight (unless someone tells me otherwise). Therefore a Gosden V Stevens match is probably not on the cards (although weight divisions vary throughout the associations and there may be some common ground somewhere for the future). It's my guess that the Stevens camp will be looking at the Burtons, Singhs etc of this world further down the line.

Steve Gosden (who can't write:))has asked me to mention that he agreed some time ago that Stacey could meet Mike but as yet no firm title offer is on the table (although various options have been mentioned)With regards to the Circus Tavern option. He is happy to fight 10 rounds for no title if it's about who is the best in the division.

I might also add (if it helps) that Jimmy Hamilton would be happy to pitch Rob Hingston against a comebacking Jon Eames on the same event - keeping that division interesting and active at the top end.

I don't things need to get any more complicated than that. No one is being overlooked and there are additional contests to be had on the strength of it. A good move forward for all I believe.

that'll be interesting shawn mate, you at 61kg! What next, Naughty Nige at <95kg! Got to be a <62kg tournament next year, so many top fighters, especially as gary hamilton and marty cox are fighting at 62kg. There is:

Marty cox
Gary Hamilton
Satacey Gosden
Alex White
Ronnie Clark
Ricky Glover
Robbie Hingston
Mike Nudd
Qasim Nisar
Jon Eames
maybe Richard Hines (he fights at 60kg)
A very Skinny Shawn Burton!!!!!

Any of those 8 would make for a wicked night's entertainment!
