wow, bovy brilliant but i do think kulebin vs bovy would be better especially after dicks last fight, i like michael but more fights then go for bovy would be more benifical for him (hes capable i beleive this but not at this time)
Good to see Neil Wood's coming back to a thai fight when most of his team have gone down the MMA road.Big shows like this will help to keep lads sticking with traditional Muay Thai instead of opting to MMA trying to get a few bucks in the pocket.Well done to the promoters and best of luck to all the fighters
the bird is the word
Your match making is very good regarding Andrei Kulebin V Bovy, this match can happen in the future
We give Michael Dicks a chance because he is one of the best fighters in UK and he is a really good person.
When he was being KO 1st Round so quick that was a mistake and Kulebin's best kick that landed and got result.
If the fight went on longer, that fight would have been one of best fights of the show.
We are listening to you and others.
I believe in listening and then use my own judgement.Thanks.
m.sken: i agree with what you are saying 100% true, michael is good and have no negative feedback for him, personally i would rather see him fight rachid belani (and destroy him because hes a clown) then work his way up to bovy then eventually rematch for the wmc title against kulebin and hopefully k.o him this time. lol you should contact me for help with match making haha, im joking
I was in the MEN at the weekend and there's MSA posters everywhere. It's great to see the promo getting good exposure already.... I can't wait to see how things unfold in the weeks leading up to it all!
Hi Dan & Master Sken this is the my Seconds Out feature I disscussed with you in the Trafford Living magazine which has 32 thousand distribution coverage.
Dan if you could send me that info regarding the show asap I will get it in the January edition as disscussed. I think it will be great free local publicity for the show at the MEN.
dean and andy, what a fight. keddle and kahn is massive, this is surely the biggest show ever, if you can get bigger than the last one, liam and anuwat 2, its a ridiculous card. every fight is a headliner.
Good luck to liam, keddle , Deano , and andy.
This show looks incredible.
No predictions from me,
Know dean will train his arse of for this.
B mint seein Bovy in action too x
Looking forward to this show, cant believe ive already fought on the same show as Sanchai x2, Duwao, petcheak, Torpatak, Kulebin not to mention all the top UK and other western fighters but now i get to fight on the same show as 2 more Muay Thai legends in Anuwat and my idol Bovy, i can not fucking wait. Cheers Dan. x
This show looks to be as good if not better than the last MSA show at the Reebok as Andy said earlier there's not only Thai legends like Bovy and Anuwat but the domestics are looking really, really good,Kieran Keddle v Imran Khan now that should be a cracker!...plus Mr Howson is never in a boring fight!
I hope these big shows reach a far wider audience and the sport itself keeps moving forward at the fast pace it has done so far both in quality of the recent promotions and definitely the fighting standard which has been very good in recent years.
Yeah but he didnt fight like that!!!how old is that fight as a matter of interest?Has Bovy still got that kind of fight in him?(genuine question, its not meant to be loaded.)
that was about 2 years ago...he proper nailed Rudolf Duricca recently so he defo got alot fight in him still...he just got caught on the right spot against Mosab
true forgot about that Durrica fight.Bovy spanked him.To be fair b4 he got banged out by Mosab he was working him over a bit.Got to love Bovy, Id hate to be his head but he is awesome.

It’s an ancient sport with a fantastic future – and now Muay Thai, also known as Thai Boxing, is giving Sport Relief 2010 a fantastic kick-start.
On March 27th, the MSA Muay Thai Premier League will burst its way into The MEN Arena in Manchester, with the best of British fighters meeting top Thai exponents head-to-head – and all the proceeds will help to raise much-needed funds for Sport Relief.
At the same time, its sister organisation Master Sken Academy (MSA) is kicking off a major new programme to help give young people a way to get fit, a source of discipline and a strict moral code of conduct.
Master Sken Academy is starting out by rising to the challenge at the Sport Relief Mile in Manchester and Leeds on Sunday 21st March.
Dozens of young Muay Thai exponents will join leading fighters and take part in the Mile to help burn more than a million calories as a team.
Swee Lip Quek, Head of the MSA Muay Thai Premier League said: “It is wonderful that we are able to help Sport Relief in their momentous efforts – and I am delighted that they recognise our fast emerging sport. I look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
If you would like to rise to the challenge for Sport Relief, you can choose to do 1, 3 or 6 Miles at Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile events across the length and breadth of the UK
Hi sir I'll get our club to do a sport relief run In Liverpool just can't do 21st could we run it another date? And we'll do the 6mile I need to get fit ;)

In the evening you will see a biggest MSA Muay Thai Premier League show in this country.
Just to add even more prestige to what is already an incredible show, the show now features a current stadium champion after Anuwat beat Kompayak Beamdesign last night on points and took his Ratchadamnern Superfeatherweight title in the process. This is 5th Ratchadamnern title for Anuwat all at different weights
Its getting fever pitch here in Manchester got stopped in the street asking about it...lol and on the radio and seeing the posters on bus shelters too!! x
The Salford Muay Thai team is preparing Daiton for this fight in Thailand, it is going to be superb fight between Daiton V Simon Chu.
Have a good time Daz and team.
This is a awesome line-up. All the very best to all involved.
Just to clear any confusion,This is not being shown live on Sky sports? But on at a later date i understand? as people keep saying "its on sky"...etc
I hope to come along on what is a great show to put on.
Just watched the full Jamaica show when Liam fought Anuwat so I'm really looking forward to the rematch even more now!, Anuwats low kicks looked very fast and powerful but I'm sure Liam will have done his homework and more than make up for his last meeting with a massive win this time around!
These shows are raising the standard and quality of British Muay Thai all the time and featuring plenty of homegrown talent like Andy Howson,Kieron Keddle,Imran Khan,Michael Dicks, etc British Thai boxing has never been better, all the hard work put in by promoters like Master Sken and Dan Green seem to be paying off and I hope it continues for a very long time, these are great times for everyone involved in British Thai boxing and that includes fighters, trainers and promoters!
MEN Arena Saturday 27th March...Bring it on!!!
Just seen anuwats recent fight with the Dutch morrocan on slamm 6, he looked really off the whole fight through, anyway seems to be quite incomsistant at the moment, I recon fight of the the night will be dean and andy. Think loan can even out the defeat. Would be good to have an onsite buckie like the boxing has, with changing odds as the fights progress
Only 3 weeks to go I'm really looking forward to it just had a 1 to 1 with Vinny didn't believe in hypnosis until now ......... Lol now I feel even more excited for the 27th :-)
I can't wait for this now . Well said above I predict fight of the night dean James vs howson! But looking forward to them all. I really wish liam all the best and know he can put record straight with anuwat! This show should catapult uk muay Thai. Greatest respect to GMaster Sken and Dan Green. Amazing effort and work.
I guess the party will start around 23:01 then? Lol
Can't wait for this show, it's going to be incredible.
Best of luck to all fighters and everyone involved in production too.
This one is going to be a hard act to follow, no doubt Master Sken and Dan will have something up there sleeves, haha. I didn't think you could top the last show... but they have.
Less than three weeks now, can't come fast enough!
ha ha that sounded stupid didn't it, i meant is it a quite big thai thats er also a famous big thai! ah fuck it haha i dont want to put the name down in case it is and master sken dont want it public yet! i know who i mean anyway haha
I ain't got a clue who Jord will be fighting but I'm guessing one of the top guys form K1-max :-0
The M.E.N show will be will be unbelievable. I’ve seen lot’s of advertisements in town along Deansgate and at Metrolink stops, heard a few Radio ads on Galaxy too. My mate is a manager at o2 and they’ve got a box or a table I’m not sure which but everyone he works with wants to go and watch it and this is a new audience really. Brilliant.
I wonder who JW faces at the excel....mmmmmmm, well known Thai ;-)... everyone needs to keep sshssshhhhhh, let Master Sken reveal the superstar.....after MEN show!
james france fight still on mate , seen the info on bradfords website..
it reads
Following a heavy sparring session at the MEJIRO GYM. Amsterdam with the champions of the K1 championship series. Alex has failed a routine medical check up and has to accept an enforced suspension of 4 weeks duration and will regretably will be withdrawn from the MSA fight card.
Alex has regrouped after this news and looks to fight James France. European Champion in Darlington April 23rd 2010
Nice interview with Dicks online, should be a good fight...
BRITAIN'S top welterweight Michael Dicks is a man of few words, preferring to do his talking in the thai boxing ring.
And the 24-year-old intends to have the final say when he faces Bovy Sor Udomsorn at the most significant muay thai event to hit Britain yet - the MSA Premier League show at Manchester's MEN Arena on March 27.
Darlington's Dicks fell short at elite level in his last fight in November, when he was knocked out in the first round in a challenge for Andrei Kulebin’s WMC world title.
But he told Fightnewz.net he is determined to get back into the world championship picture with a big win in what could be the fight of the night against Thai knockout king Bovy.
FIGHTNEWZ.NET What a chance this is for you. Another high profile fight on probably the biggest-ever thai boxing show in Britain.
DICKS: I’m excited, I’m in good nick and I’m looking forward to it.
Everything has gone alright and all of the training is going well.
I’ve been to Holland with my trainer Paul Hamilton and Craig Jose and Alex Abusin, sparring at the Mejiro Gym, and that has helped sharpen me up and motivate me even more.
It was a change of scenery and good sparring against lads who didn’t know who we were, so they didn’t have much respect for us!
I couldn’t get a fight in February, so we arranged to go there. It all helps and brings you on against good lads who are bigger than me.
FIGHTNEWZ.NET: Feel like you’ve got a point to prove after the Kulebin fight?
DICKS: I’m looking forward to this one because in my last fight I just got caught
with a shot early on.
He just caught me and there was nothing I could do about it.
I made a little mistake and he caught me with a high kick. I stepped back
and my hand dropped about an inch and he just came over the top.
When you fight world class people, that’s what happens.
I made one tiny little mistake and he just caught me.
This one is like a grudge match. I want to get in there and show that I’m still one of the best in Europe and one of the best in the world.
I’m determined to win, so it has given me another boost.
FIGHTNEWZ.NET: Would you say this is the biggest fight of your career?
DICKS: This is a big fight but my last fight was a big fight as well.
They are all big fights at world class and European level.
Everyone you fight is at the top level.
The next couple of years is when I’m planning to go onto the big things.
I’m just below the absolute top level now and I’m looking forward to it.
FIGHTNEWZ.NET: What do you think will be the key to victory for you?
DICKS: I think footwork and movement will tip the fight in my favour.
I’ve seen him fight on the internet and he is very strong and aggressive and puts power in all of his shots.
My plan is to keep moving and bang, bang, bang, sidestep him and throw the elbows and switch and kick and use all of my different techniques.
Just not standing still and getting drawn into a fight, because I know he is really strong and powerful.
That’s what he likes doing, he likes standing and having a fight with you and making you stand still and slug with him.
My plan is to keep moving. I’m confident I can outsmart him. My training and everything is going well so I’m looking forward to it and I think I can beat him.
FIGHTNEWZ.NET: Both of you are known for being aggressive and there aren’t too many who seem to think it will go the distance. How do you think the fight will pan out?
DICKS: I think it will go to points. It will be a hard fight but I think I will win on points.
I’ve fought about 10 Thais and they have a lot of experience and they are clever, but the way to beat them is to do what they don’t want to do.
They don’t like hands, so you work your hands on them and finish with your legs.
The Thais like to kick and grapple, so you do what they don’t want to do and box them and use your legs off them.
Kick strong and use your hands off them.
Bovy is a bit different because he likes to use his hands as well, so it will be interesting.
FIGHTNEWZ.NET: Do you think your height advantage will be a factor?
DICKS: Because I’m taller than him, it will definitely give me an edge because I’m longer.
I can use my hands when he comes in before he can get his hands off, and when he comes in close I can use my elbows and knees and counter.
Step round him and use my footwork and get busy.
FIGHTNEWZ.NET: This event could really put British thai boxing and yourself on the map.
DICKS: In Thailand I fought on the King’s Birthday in front of the king and I think the crowd was 100,000 in the King’s Park.
It’s always best to fight in your home country and they are making thai boxing in England bigger.
All over Europe they have government backing and the shows in Europe and around the world are massive, they are all in big stadiums.
They are trying to push it into the big stadiums in England and make it bigger and better.
I think it’s one of the hardest stand-up fighting sports in the world and it’s just showing people what thai boxing is all about and getting the crowds in to come and support it.
I think it’s the most exciting stand-up sport as well because you can kick, knee, elbow and punch.
There are so many things you can get caught with and stopped by, so it makes it a lot more interesting.
I’m going to keep going from the first round to the last. If I get him in the first round that will be a bonus.
I’m going to keep pushing it and pushing it until I get him, and if he makes a mistake I will jump on him and try and take him out from there.
FIGHTNEWZ.NET: How do you think you would adapt to K-1 Max or It’s Showtime rules? You can’t use elbows in either of those.
DICKS: In K-1 Max you don’t really get to use your knees and elbows and that’s what I’m good at and what I like doing.
I like the grappling and knees and the elbows and that is what I’m known for, getting in close and using my elbows.
It’s what I’m interested in doing, but I think I could adapt to K-1 Max.
If I got offered the right fights I would go in and do that, as well as normal thai boxing.
FIGHTNEWZ.NET: Aside from the Kulebin setback, where do you think you deserve to be ranked at welterweight, both in the UK and internationally?
DICKS: I’m definitely No 1 at my weight in the UK. I wouldn’t say there is anyone at my weight that can give me a real challenge in the UK.
I feel like if I fight anyone in England it’s more of a step down, when I’m stepping up and trying to get to world class.
I just want to keep going up and up and not come back.
Going to Holland to spar has helped me, then I’ve got the MSA show and there is also a show in Darlington on April 25th in the Dolphin Centre.
I’ve got a big fight there against a French guy called Mehdi Zatout, who beat Andy Thrasher on points for the European title.
FIGHTNEWZ.NET: Finally, you must be keen for a rematch with Kulebin?
DICKS: I’ve won the UKMF English title, British title, SIMTA British title and WMC Intercontinental title, but the big prize is the WMC world title and that’s what I want. This year hopefully.
As a friend of Mikes i can assure everyone that interview must have taken the best part of 5 days ha ha ha!
And yeh Alex is still on for James France in April. Master Sken released alex from his contractual obligations for the MSA M.E.N show after i presented medical evidence and scans. Its the way forward. contracts are in place to ensure professionalism in our industry and should not be disregarded lightly.
I made the decision to pull Alex after scans showed a shadow above the left eye...probably as a result of the heavy blows suffered on the Leeds show and complicated by the sparring with Sem Braan the following weekend.
Knock outs should be always treated with respect. Be they of the flash variety or worthy of a count.
There isnt enough money in the game to risk your life. full stop
i had one of those for ages after gettin smashed in the face with a glass, they are awful i had it for ages too it was still there on the last MSA show, all better now tho :)
Good interview from micheal, gotta think they asked more questions tho to get that much out of him ;) Cant wait for the fight I really hope he takes it with a performance deserving of his heart and talent.
no he isnt but alex is and they fight on april 23rd.
michael is dangerous and a strong 66kg fighter. James i think prefers the 68/69 division.
talking of which its a hard and uphill fight for alex in fighting james and whilst alex is the underdog and unlikely to enjoy healthy bets from the pundits for a win. i promise that if the fight goes the distance neither man will be dancing for a few weeks
Great for Sport of Muay Thai, fighters can battle it out in the Ring, but share mutual respect and freindship.
James France is one of my favourite fighters but Alex who I may be helping at the corner. It will be very tough for Alex, right preperation then every thing is possible.
MEN Arena,Andy Howson(my favourite fighter) V Dean James-I like Dean,he is such a good person and a gentleman, who is a true Credit to his teacher(Tony Myers)
This fight will be one of the best fights of the night.
They both are real good freind, but in the ring they want to get in there and win.I am sure they remain good freinds after the fight.
badger fights 66.5-69 he can make 66.5 no probs but will fight either weight i know he would be very hasppy to fight with michael if the match coukld be made...also Tim Thomas is very strong at that weight its very competative weight...imran khan in the mix now too and also KK
tims next bout is at 66.0kg im sure the last domestic bout was the tko win for Tim which made him number 1 in the division with his last domestic loss being against watson but his last domestic loss at welterweight being against france.
Thank you Master Sken :) yeah me and Dean will hopefully be a great fight for you all to watch, i no he has been training really hard and how much he wants it and i too want it, its my number 1 spot so its not going anywhere without a fight ;) Dean is possibly 1 of the nicest people you will ever meet and a really goos friend as you say Master Sken but that will all go out the window for 20 minutes or so and then its all lovey dovey again, lol. Looking forward to it, what a show.
Major promotions like this and The Rumble at the Reebok are really putting our sport/art out there. Bramarjarn Sken is tireless in his pursuit to promote Muay Thai, his energy inspires us all. We are truely entering our Golden age in Muay Thai. UK Muay Thai is really coming of age; Teachers, Fighters, students and promoters alike have improved their game so much, we should be proud of what we are achieving and equally proud of what we are about to achieve.
I for one will be there (got my ticket!) and it is soooooo nice not to be in the corner, or Refeereeing or judging for a change! I can put my feet up and enjoy the show. I am meeting up with Leigh Edlin and students and really looking forward to meeting up with my friends Arjarn Parnpetch and his wife Christine.
Thank you Kru Shaun
It is not only me who work tireless to promote Muay Thai, all Instructors,fighters,spectators/public and media are so vital to help and make Muay Thai as it is so popular and quality today.
MSA Team for Event:Dr.Swee Lip Quek,Dr.Fui Mee Quek, Dan Green and Laura Doyle are dealing with Events, credit must go to them for working really hard for the shows.I help and advise them when they need me too.
Kay and I plus MSA Academy team are woking with the gym, both parts(Events and training/teaching)compromise each other.
I do wish to see Muay Thai is being promoting, training, teaching such high quality so that Muay Thai become worthy of respect by media and public.
Muay Thai is not just only about survival in the Ring, but also a survival in Life as well.
We can create "Champion Role Models",with dedication, time, patient and knowledge.Certainly we can achieve our goals, thanks to all for your support. As I did mention it before, I learn to love people, England and United Kingdom.
Good News,Jordan Watson and Andy Trasher-confirmed.
Both fighters are excellent in and out the ring.
Dan G writes:
Thrasher and Watson complete MEN Arena lineup
Andy Thrasher will face the next big Dutch Moroccan talent Hakim Bouzambou who only has 3losses in 30 fights.
Bouzambou was originAlly scheduled to fight Harrison last year which shows how highly rated he is.

Does anyone know what time we have to be there for the tables?
M.sken just wondering roughly what kind of percentage of tickets so far have been sold to people not connected to the uk Thai boxing circuit. Wonder how many new people will be drawn into this show. What is the capacity of the area you have and what percentage is full so far, I'm sure always on the night lots buy on the door also.
master sken when you say it will be on ESPN is that going live or at a later date ?? thank you ... and good luck to liam harrison he,s my thai boxing sons favourite ,, ALSO would like o say a very massive well done to you master sken and your team for taking thai boxing forward and bringing it to the general public after what seemed an age in a small but well meant thai boxing circle....
I'm not 100% sure but I understand that like last time, the show will be recorded live and broadcast on Sky Sports sometime after the event.
Additionally however (unlike last time), this show will ALSO be broadcast on ESPN and FOX SPORTS to audiences in Asia and Australia.
I don't believe that it's to be transmitted live on any of the three stations, bloody hope not anyway, I'm already shaking like a leaf ;)
Hope I'm not speaking out of turn but I'm sure Master Sken or Dan will clarify if I've made any mistakes.
Just think folks, one week from now and we'll all be making our way to the venue, I for one can't wait.
Well done again to Dan, Master Sken, Swee Lip and team for once again raising the bar. This show will be remembered for a long time and I for one am delighted to be a part of it!

Today I am sure it will be one of the best days for Muay Thai, as most of you do know that I always have true passion to train, teach and promote Muay Thai.
Muay Thai promotions/events can not be treated lightly, it does really take much time, effort and financially into it.The reward in satisfaction is so great, financially reward is so little at the moment. But the reward will come at later date.
This show I help as much as I can, but MSA Team who work tiredlessly are Dan Green,Laura Doyle,Dr.Fui Mee Quek and Dr.Swee Lip Quek.
They are planning to organise the show at SENI 2010 Excel,London. As you are well aware that Buakaw Por.Pramuk V Jordan Watson and many top fighters. They will raise profile for Muay Thai even higher. It will be another super show for Muay Thai.
Let's enjoy the show this evening, then please tell your freinds and family how good it is so that we can create big army of Muay Thai fans, worthy Sport and respect by Media and public.
