is daniel ranked at number 1 in this country if not who is why do people hide
chris podesta

daniel is the best in the uk at his weight by a long way(as a junior)
Liam R

headguards mandy the kids can fight better than most adult shite we have to watch day in day out
nathan touchgloves
Posted: 2011-05-13 07:12:02
isaac ashley is no1 in the country under junior rules.
daniel is definitely the best junior fighter without padding.

if there was rankings then the ranking system would be under junior rules.

im sorry if i dont want to take the risk of no padding with someone elses child but thats our choice as a club and thats why most tournaments wont allow it either, there isnt enough money in the sport for parents to take weeks off work to look after a child off school for a broken rib or punctured lung etc and for the child to ruin his summer holiday playing with his mates for,,although i understand daniels point of view in respect that he has taken a step into c-class and dosent want to step back into junior rules..good on him as he is a class act.

what weight is issac ? nathan ?
Liam R
Posted: 2011-05-13 07:28:38
think issac can do 46-48.
will give up till hes put on weight and reaches 16 i think as learns more sparring than in pillow fights with guard at waist, shame, just hope he doesnt lose interest
Briancal
Posted: 2011-05-13 07:35:33
Mate no-one is going to fight daniel head contact and without body armour it's just not happening, Brad is only 13 and still a kid, and his parents would never allow this to happen and neither would i it's just crazy, and any instructor or parent who does is asking for trouble.
nathan touchgloves
Posted: 2011-05-13 09:04:38
isaac is 45-46kg.

im gutted for dan as he is a great fighter and all round decent lad,if he fights under junior rules at this stage,i think it will ruin what he has learnt and also the step forward he wants to take + a lot of it wont work in a junior rules fight and it will frustrate him-however as liam says, will he lose interest through no-one fighting him?.

isaac has been in junior fights since 8 yrs old with 23 wins,he has been taught to catch legkicks and fight with a lower guard, punch for speed instead of power and angle more, buts thats how to win fights under junior rules.he is a true british champion under ukmf and brilliant at what he does--he is also like daniel an outstanding role model for other kids.he is no1 at what he does-simple as.

i will definitely take him out of competition soon and retrain him as a conditioned adult fighter to return as a 16/17 yr old,but until then he has to be applauded for his 7 years of dedication to the sport,he hasnt ducked anyone and has tried no padding rules ,but got injured and didnt want to take the risk again.as his instructor ,i cant see any wrong with bringing him along this route.
Liam R
Posted: 2011-05-13 09:42:17
Brian i wasnt suggesting that and wouldnt allow it, looking for a good strong fighter at 15yrs old most decent associations allow a fight with a headguard and shinpads at 15. People tar all fighters with the same brush, my lad sam beat danny crompton at reebok revenge or repeat age 14. my other lad ben had a controversial draw against dave fensom in woking again aged 14. mason harris won knockout tournament K1 aged 16, im in no way suggesting we have 10 - 12 yr olds fighting FTR just saying to keep up with Thailand we need those decent level fights at young age like jordan watson had and i think your lad had mate. I wouldnt allow daniel to fight Brad anyway theres absolutely no point like u said mate.

Well done to all involved in the show, it ran very smooth, some great fights and a good and respectful crowd.

Mark ect should be proud of the show they put on.

Really impressed by DilloN Elsmore, very good young fighter and one to watch for the future for sure. Also very good corner work/advice from his K Star team which he followed.
