The phrase legend is often overused and really should be only attributed to men of this mans magnitude. Few peoples names are more associated with the sport they represent than this . He was as iconic as Pele and Football, Sobers and Cricket, or as Clay (Ali) and Boxing. He leaves behind a legacey of reveared quality.
RIP. A true Legend

He fought Thais he knocked them out gained their respect and shown the world they are human and beatable what a guy! And what a life sadly cut short he never hid or pretended he walked the walk and his legacy is burned into the soul of all who love the sport! Rest in peace!

One of my biggest inspirations in the 80's & 90's I remember getting out my collection of Ramon Dekker fight videos every time I had a fight coming up just to get me psyched up and ready to do battle!
I was lucky enough to meet and train with the great man on a few seminars and he was always very friendly but carried that special prescence about him you just knew he was dangerous!
They called him the 'diamond' well I hope he shines forever bright in the stars!...God bless & R.I.P.

I saw Numphon dekkers 1 on a racked off videotape and from then on i was hooked.

he had a massive impact on my life and i was happy to meet him twice.

Total legend!! I wonder (although seemingly insensitive) if there will be a full autopsy? Curious about brain trauma etc.. Not steroids ya dim wit! This guy was 160lbs at 40 years old....

Deepest apologies. I actually googled Dekkers 'ster****' - I didn't know who he was although had heard the name and it came up with a guy in the UFC who had been trained by Dekkers who had tested positive. The guy was also Dutch. Sincerest condolences to the family of Mr Dekkers.
