Super League, Rotterdam Rocked

Finally back home after an amazing trip. One of the best trips I have ever been on, all the fighters were really good blokes and the Super League crew were very professional but at the same time were always there to help if we needed anything. On the night of the fights not one fight was bad, the technique shown by some of the fighters was very impressive and one mistake and someone would be getting knocked out.
As for my fight went, I busted my ankle early in the second round on Amrani's elbow. After that I couldn't put as much power behind my kicks as I wanted to and just had to try and fight without showing any pain. No excuses from me though, Amrani fought great and he stuck to his game plan. He moved well and used the whole ring. I blocked most of his punches but he stayed busy racking up the points. I learnt a lot as anyone does from a lose and cant wait to get back into the gym and start training again so I can redeem my self on the next show.

Here is a bunch of pictures I took over the week I was in Holland.

If you get a chance to buy this show on DVD it would be money well spent. Every fight was great and non-stop action from start to finish.

Thank you Super League for giving me the chance to be part of something great.

Hope you enjoy the Pics.

This guy was trouble, just joking. Peter was a legend inside and out side the ring. Hm and his little Brother Reece were top blokes. Glade I finally got a chance to meet and watch Peter fight.

Had the chance to meet another Axer in Rotterdam, but unsure of the spelling of the name. Don't want to spell it just in case I say the wrong one.

Ole (not looking to handsome in this photo), JWP, Fadi Merza and Chopper. After the photo Ole, Choppa, Shuki, Richard Walsh and myself went into Amsterdam. Only had a few hours to hang out together before they had to go to the airport. We almost got into a fight with a street preformer who wanted money after Ole video taped him. Told us he was going to break all our Australian legs. Funny shit.

We run into this place by accident. I can remember Ryan Simson used to wear Susies Saloon T-shirts when he fought in Thailand. I asked the guy behind the bar but he didn't know. Half way through our beer he come back after ringing the boss and said "yes, they did sponsor him". The beer worked well there.

Picture perfect. Amsterdam was like talking a step back in time. A very beautiful city. You would be eating lunch then next minute a horse and carrige would come cruising past, amazing.
Hope you like the pics. Not much action but good memories for me.

JWP,

It was a pleasure watching you fight, I have heard so much about you and it was great to finally see you in action. Shame the fight didn't go your way but hey that is the fight game. You are right about the standard of superleague it is awesome and you live up to that standard no question.

I will hopefully be at the next show and hope to see you again there.

I think Super League is good because you only have to fight once in one night. K-1 max is all about luck of the draw and how your body can handle the damage. Super League is ten of the best main events you would see any where in the world. Super League does not want to compete with anyone, they only want to see good fights and have the best vs the best. With that attitude I can see them going wrong.

Bad luck JWP.

Maybe you can take Dawson's Oz Jnr. Middle boxing title for a bit of a laugh.

When is the next Super League & are you going ? The concept sounds awesome.

It was good to catch up with you again when the Hurricane fought at Penrith.

Cheers

i watched your fight live on TV.i kept my fingers crossed 4U,not only because
you`re an axer(if i`m not mistaken,the only one in Superleague),but also cos
i really prefered your style to that of your opponent.
hope to see one of your next Superleague-appearances on the spot !

how embarrassing!it occured to me 5 minutes too late !
wanted to say something nice to Mr.Parr though, cos he had to travel so far !
so Choppa reads ax?great,i still remember his cracking fight against O.B.Laursen
in Vienna.
but they`ll show Mr.Crooke`s winning fight on German TV quite soon and i`m sure
from then on he`ll have a central place in my memory! :-))))))

Cheers too; BTW i`ve seen pics of you have you made a drastic cure since
you picked your ax name LOL?would be equally appropriate,if Sandy called
himself "shy guy" ROFL :-)))

Ole posts as thundercat - his fight name

True story - Ole's in America. A guys asks what his fight name is. Ole says 'thundercat'. Guy says 'oh, like the cartoon'

Ole - 'Like the what now?!'

Dangerous,

Check the 'Superleague Vids' thread, there isn't any out yet but they are hoping to release a DVD with the best of all the shows soon I believe.

shyguy, Yes I have had a great cure since my name, I have lost over 15Kg in 3 years. Funny though all my friends still call me FatBoy as I have been called that since I was 12 yrs old!!!lol

All Superleague fighters who are on AX - Big respect to you all, I have been to a lot of shows over the last few years and SUPERLEAGUE is the best by far. Why, because of you guys, great fighters who all have genuine respect for each other. Oh and of course the Superleague staff for putting on great shows.

Cheers,

Thanks fatboy Ill be receiving a copy of the show soon.Imagine bringing some of the Superleague boys to Australia.Victoria and queensland would sell out,so maybe Tarik should consider bringing over a couple of Superleagues top guns and then we would be able to gauge how our boys are on the world scene.
