Less than 48 hours after the launch of UNLEASHED, Bai Lang Promotions are delighted to announce the date of their second full contact fight night as having been confirmed for Saturday 7th November. Once again the event will be hosted at the impressive Telford International Centre.

Within hours of our announcing UNLEASHED 2 locally several of our original sponsors have already extended their continued support. In addition to which 3 VIP ringside tables have already been sold. Early bird tickets will also be offered for this event.

Whilst negotiations are already underway in respect of creating another exciting and well matched fight card we would welcome the communities suggestions on fights/fighters YOU would all like to see.

would be happy with zander v qasim, but id rather ronnie v qasim, big show for a big fight. cant wait for this rematch. and in my own opinion i think ronnie will stop him. ut hey i also think zander could beat him also, qasim wont be able to handle the kicking. Chad Sugden V Ronald Brady Rematch Also be a good one, was close in newcastle.Aaron towns v regis sugden also:D

Qasim Vs Ronnie... Ronnie will have to turn pro first?

Qasim Vs Alexander... Already been talked about. Apparently Alexander's management don't think he is ready just yet.

Should be a good fight when it happens.

ronnie turning pro? i know this is the past and all that but on qasim website welcoming himself to the pros yourself you put welcome to the paid ranks v ronnie. ronnie didnt get paid for that fight so clearly thats ur opinion on diference with pro and amatuer. I thin Alexander wants this fight for novemeber but if his management dont think hes ready and he does not then Would be good if Dave could get Ronnie . This Fight will be huge...when it happens:)

With all these top guys in scotland wantin qas, what the hell al fight him. One condition cut off his right leg and we'll meet in the middle 57kg?? Neil i want it do yous? LOL
NEIL KELLY
Posted: 2009-06-24 20:42:24
Jamie.... If Ronnie does not class himself as a Pro for whatever reason it makes no sense that a fighter who is 10-0 in the Pro's that holds an English title like Qas fight him right now.
No disrespect to Ronnie as he is a great fighter but there is nothing in it for us right now.
When Ronnie does officially turn Pro and gets a few good wins under his belt we as a camp might look at it again.
Alexander was saying the same thing when we spoke to him at Unleashed. We asked him if the Ronnie Vs Alexander fight was going to happen since they were both from Scotland and around the same weight. Alexander said that Ronnie had nothing to bring to the table as he was still an amateur and dismissed the possibility of the fight happening.

Scott.... When I'm not looking does Qasim stick his fingers up at you guys or something. First Ronnie, then Alexander and now little old you want to tare strips of the poor lad lol, He is a niceish guy if you take the time to get to know him lol
Anyway, back to business, we can cut off his left leg (not right) and meet you at a catch weight of 58kg. Not much meat on Qas's little old leg you see lol

Alexander.... Alexander vs Qas, November 7th, 62.5kg, 8 rounder???, sounds good to me mate. I'll tell Qas not to make any other plans for that night. Dave at Bai Lang I'm sure will cross the T's and dot the I's but as far as Myself and Qasim are concerned....Let's get it on!
Should be a great fight between two very good fighters, may the best man win.

There you go Dave a top fight to match already!

Can Unleashed 2 be better than Unleashed 1? Its a big call as Saturday was a great night.

Fighters to get on
Andrew Tate...Very good fighter to watch

Deisel....Just pure quality

Jamie Bates...Because I havent seen him yet and he's supposed to be top draw, lol

Samir Mohamed...If the budget will stretch because....well you know why

Not forgetting the USKA contingent and the Rivals lads.

Boom Boom also because he will be back!

Would love to see Barrinder Singh. Maybe v Richard Waller as those camps cant agree who should hols it so on neutral ground may be a go'er.

HA HA hows that Dave! Sod the budget!

You would need a few bucks for Samir and although it would be good to see him in the Uk kickboxing, against who? Only Marty Cox really stands up as an opponent.

Marty v Gary Hamilton would be a good fight if you could agree purses with both camps.

How about Sucky Shoria v Ryan Hamer?

John Orchard v Tommy Mcafferty?

I could go on if you like as its a quiet day.

Marty Cox, John Orchard, Alexander White and Ryan Hamer are already 100% confirmed for my £4£ World Awaits show on Oct 10th. Waiting for confirmation off big Dave regarding Shawn Burton also.

And that's only 4 weeks before the Unleashed 2 show.

Just giving you the heads up guys incase there are any knockouts, as that is a 45 day medical wait in the IKF.

Don't want you guys to book a match then it can't go ahead due to a KO. :)

I can live with being billy no mates.lol

Besides with such a large show (17 fights) it takes some organising and that was done very profesionally with no delay between fights and still got an interval!

A great spectacle for all and a prime excample of how to hold a big show.

Also dave Craig Bradford from paisley kickboxing to take on Lee as im sure craigs the british champ
White Wolf
Posted: 2009-06-25 08:47:16
Nice one Scott but Lee's only just secured the English so an assault on the British would be a bit premature. I personally have no input whatsoever in Lee's career path which is entirely in the trusted hands of Neil Kelly who no doubt will have his agenda already laid out for Lee.
whitti
Posted: 2009-06-25 18:01:57
Will be chatting to Neil on Friday and will have alittle think on who is next for me. Was very pleased with performance and I am starting to settle in my new style but also still taking in alot and learning alot from Neil and know I have more to put into competitve fighting.

Would love to see some footage of Craig Bradford to see how far I am away I am from deserving a shot at him. I understand he is also Commonwealth Champ - just need someone to clarify if he is the champ at 75kg or 78kg. I would imagine I am 3 or 4 fights away from him and the British title, will have to see how busy I can be :)

Back to Alexander v Qas... We will have to wait and see :)

On behalf of Bai Lang Promotions we would just to to affirm that the bout between Alexander White and Qasim Beg has not only been agreed and confirmed with both coaches (Neil Kelly and Albert Ross), but also that both have committed not to fight in October so as to alleviate any risk of suspension jeopardising the fight.

Cheers Nathan. We'd certainly be interested in having Touch Gloves guys on the show and would welcome the opportunity of trying to match Sean and/or Julie.

Could I just ask whether you're committed to the October 10th show as we need to consider the 30/45day IKF medical suspension rules - regardless as to how remote the likelihood and of course we wouldn't want to interfere with Marlon's plans.

When they are up I will post the link, just a little busy until after the weekend.

There are some real nice action shots, some of which I did supply to the mag, but the "ED" has the last say which ones go in. Hey, its something else to look forward to!!

Just over 3 weeks left to the second in our series of events under the UNLEASHED banner and another show we're really looking forward to ... again at the impressive 900 seat Telford International Centre.

Heading the bill for kickboxing is the much awaiting and guaranteed explosive bout between Qas and Alexander White with the K-1 line up headed by Midlands favourite Harvey Harra v Jay Woodham of Mugkorn Dam which promises to be another great battle.

Still finalising a few bouts due to injuries, withdrawls and suspensions but details to be posted soon. Meanwhile for any fighter looking to be part of the show we still have vacancies for a few more amateur bouts and in particular opponents for the following -

Chantelle Cameron (TKO) IKF British Champion at -62.2 looking to defend her title or consider a prestige bout up to 64kg

Jack Clay (Jesters) 68-69kg 8F 8W looking for quality opponent to vie for IKF English title

Murray Dadswell (Bai Lang) 85-86kg 2F 2F
Justine Ramsey (Bai Lang) 64-65kg 1F 1F

We would also welcome contact from any Midlands based clubs with K-1 fighters to match with southern opposition.

Cheers ... Dave (contact details on profile)

Betting is via www.BeLuckyTote.com Sam. Its a genuine online site registered with the Gaming Commission and runs on the same format as a tote, ie no odds just a pool of bets with the pot shared by those predicting the outcome. Great site created by Sid Rimmer right here on AX.

Have some fun guys and have a go. Prior to the event we will be offering betting opportunities on all fights through the card ... just to make it interesting!

ITS GONNA BE INTERESTING!!!!!

Your really confident Zander and that is great. I must ask have you seen Qas fight live? If so how many times? This will help me evaluate whether your confidence has any foundation.
Im really looking forward to it. Have heard and read many good things about yourself and your style. Seen a little on the net too so I look forward to witnessing you fight for real.

I wish you and Qas all the best and may it be a great fight.

I have seen both Qas and Zander fight live, Zander in Ireland against Patrick and Qas a few times against numerous opponents.

Very different styles, Qas is very busy and is always up in your face and wont let you rest, Zander whilst I have only seen fight the once (live) is very relaxed and picks his shots.

Should be a good fight but Qas favorite for me

Qasim early stoppage:) Can Only judge zander on two times iv seen him. And anyone else who was at them fights would have same opinion as me.

Posted: 2009-11-02 13:54:51
I too hope Zander takes the fight with Ronnie no matter what happens with Qasim... Think this will be a close fight having seen both fight and Zander a few times.. One thing I would say to Zander unlike the way you have come out claiming to be Scotlands best lightweight is plain silly. You have never fought Ronnie I think this is very disrespectful.. Ronnie would not act in this way and make these claims here on Ax he does his talking in the ring as I'm sure everyone on ax will agree with.. I honestly believe that Ronnie would not only beat you he would stop you but hey that's my opinion.. But watching the way he destroyed Ahmed agha in the first round and the way he brutally stopped a very good fighter in rui briceno shows me that he would be too hot too handle... Good luck with your fight against Qas all of Scotland will be wanting you to win..

i have watched qasim fight live at the last unleashed show and possibley watched every clip on youtube he has got, and with wot i saw at unleashed he would not beat me! . i no how good he is but i also no how good i am now! im not the same fighter i was when i last fought several months ago anyone who trains with me will tell you that. i know jamie m8 you may think im running scared of ronnie clark! that makes me laugh! i think ronnie is a great fighter and a nice guy!. i have fought the best fighters on the planet in the weight divison so why would he bother me!???. i no ive talked alot of trash you could say on AX but i am gona back it up on saturday so get yer tickets! like i says before SCOTLANDS BEST LIGHTWEIGHT VS QASIM!
Jamie Meechan
Posted: 2009-11-02 17:20:33
yeah but you have also been beaten by the best fighters. obviosly the satorshido gyms relationship with other gyms in Ireland got you them fights. gary Hamilton was a demo and you were down 6 times v patrick kingsamni, I'm not saying your running scared but you speak on here of being easy then rivals show is the chance to prove it. titles etc are judged by fighting not talking :) as if said I do hope u win as you are Scottish but I just think qasim will outclass you a.

Qasim by late stoppage.
and thats not disrespecting you Zander, with most other lightweights usually predict Qasim by early stoppage. Like Dale say's Qas is just so clinical I struggle to imagine him losing,
White Wolf
Posted: 2009-11-03 04:48:00
Have to agree with Dale and Alan that Qas is just so clinical. No wasted shots, every one thrown with accuracy and intense malice. Offset against which Zander has fought some top class guys, carries the confidence of Albert / Greg and 61 wins from 67 fights can't be overlooked.

Even if the building catches fire, I'll be watching every second of this one.

Could do with some help please guys ...

Following a last minute illness we have lost a fighter for whom we are desperately seeking a replacement. Opponent is 72-73kg Amateur, few light con fights, no full contact bouts. Ideally seeking another total novice although someone with 1-2 fights would be considered.

This guy was scheduled for his first FC appearance recently and suffered from a pull out on the night so we'd really appreciate any help in getting him matched up for this show.

The aftershow party....

Just thought I would give everyone the heads up in regards to the aftershow party. It will be at the Oceana Night Club in Wolverhampton as mentioned earlier in thread. This is therefore not in Telford but c.15 miles away.

Having the aftershow party in Telford we felt was abit risky as Telford is notorious for trouble and is behind in the times. The last nightclub didn't accomodate us brilliantly on our last event and they now have strict code to get in (over 21, shoes, shirt etc). Telford for nightlife is not too good (and that is me being polite lol).

The Oceana in Wolverhampton in the other hand is a £5million venue with 7 themed rooms... it is dead funky!!! They are also looking after us very nicely by giving ALL supporters, fighters, and coaches free access (before 11pm mind) and we will have the VIP room and guest bar to ourselves aswell as being able to mix it in the other 6 rooms.

Dress code is smart casual... no sports trainers or Rockports allowed, same with hoodies. Jeans, t-shirts and trainer shoes are acceptable though. The age to get in is 18 too rather than 21.

So you can either leave it on the night to arrange taxi's, as we have afew taxi companies in Telford to use. Or if you want to book a mini-bus beforehand then please do so, and I would advise a 10:30pm collection from venue as we hope to be finished by 10.

http://www.oceanaclubs.com/wolverhampton

This nightclub will provide a goooooood finish to the night, and lots burger bars, chippy's, pizza joints and kebab shops to chose from afterwards :)

I will post full details on behalf of the IKF tomo so just a quick few personal thoughts.

Cracking show, very well matched fights and as mentioned the K1 and Beg/White fight were outstanding.

Second show in for the Bailang team and they have set their stall out as to what sort of shows they wished to run. Nice professional touches and presented very well. (the dance team, nice touch). Just the sort of events that fighters will want to appear on.

lee..best performance so for for me, well done mate.

DArren Bigg v Jack Clay, cracking amateur title fight.

and Mushtag showed he can bang once again

Nice to see the guys from Scotland once again supporting so well. Good to see Stewart and family, Greg, Albert etc.

Look forward to the next one.

Apologies, Thank you's and Congratulations!

Before anything else I feel compelled to offer a sincere apology to Alexander and the Scottish contingent for Qas's MC and his over zealous antics during Qasim's ring entrance. I had not entered the room at this time and did not see the extent of the MC's taunting and provoking. I am extremely sorry for any offence this may have caused.
Not making excuses but in my defence I had told him before hand not to go over the half way point of the ring and to give Alexander and the Scottish corner their space. In the heat of the moment and with the euphoria of the crowd he seemed to have forgot this.
I spoke to him today and he said he did not mean any offence and it was just part of the show. He and Alexander spoke after the show and shared a photo together but I fully understand all concerns expressed to me on the night.
I apologise unreservedly again.

Moving on..................

Well, what can I say, another Epic night at Unleashed II Collision course. Carlsberg don't promote kickboxing shows but if they did I think they would ask to co-promote with the Unleashed team.
Thank you to Dave Whitfield and all involved with the Unleashed promotion for their hospitality and the opportunity for the USKA fighters to do what they do.
The venue, facility's and production were fantastic and it is great to at last to have a Absolute Adrenaline standard event here in the Midlands. Long live the Unleashed brand!

Secondly thanks to a great USKA and Bai Lang contingent of the crowd who raised the roof and the fighters spirits every time the home fighters stepped to the ring.

Finally I would like to thank the IKF for once again showing why they are ahead of the race in terms of officiating and policing events. Thoroughly professional from start to finish. Weigh in, medicals, Judging (not a bad decision all night from what I could see or hear) and an excellent job by referee Mr Wayne Rodrigues who does not miss a trick and was top draw as man in the middle.

I had a good night at the office, firstly with my amateur fighter Mushtaq 'Mushy' Younis turning a bad first round into a spectacular second round landing an overhand right hand to knock out his opponent Mike Shellis from Cotterill Martial Arts gym. Mushy takes another step closer to hopefully a Midland Area title shot sometime in the new year.

Lee Whitfield turned in a brilliant punch perfect performance against the really tough and talented French Champion Mirac Sever in a really well matched fight. Lee's record was 8 -2 from 10 starts and Mirac's was 13 - 2 from 15 starts with a handy win over Graham Smith on his CV. That's 4 out of 4 for Lee with USKA and hopefully now sets up an ISKA English title fight for him at the end of November in Walsall.

In the main event Qasim 'the Dream' Beg Vs the Scottish Champion Alexander White, the stage had been set for a classic with emotions running high in the build up to the fight with Alexander's postings on here.
I had deliberately avoided posting on Ax in the build up to add fuel to the fire but instead showed Qasim the Ax posts daily from my phone which motivated him even more to train hard and do his talking in the ring.
Thank you Alexander for doing my job for me in terms of mentally putting Qasim in the frame he needed to be in to beat you. Much appreciated mate.
I've got to give Alexander some props though, he was durable and took some serious shots over 6 punishing rounds. Qas told me before hand that he wanted to make him pay for all the smack talking and I think he did that. With 30 seconds left to go in the fight Qas 'Unleashed' and had Alexander out on his feet. 10 more seconds and he would have been sleeping.
Up until a week before the bout we were under the impression that it was to be fought over 8 rounds only then to be told that Alexander and his team would not budge on 6 saying not to worry because Qasim was getting knocked out in 3. If it was 8 rounds I have no doubt that Alexander would have been on a 30 day medical suspension right now.
I'm not really into Trash talk but if your going to talk the talk, make sure you can walk the walk kid!

Can't wait for the DVD so that I can watch the other fights. I heard there were some fantastic matches.

Well done again to everyone who was involved in making Unleashed II - Collision Course a great night to remember!

Should really leave the post script to Lee as UNLEASHED is his baby not mine but no doubt he'll be on later. Meanwhile thanks to everyone for a great show and to all those supporters who make events like this one possible.

Huge thank you to Neil Kelly and Albert Ross for agreeing to the long awaited clash between Qas and Zander and for allowing it to be on UNLEASHED. Neil, respect as always my friend and thank you for the kind words. Albert (and Linda) it was a pleasure to meet with you both. Zander - full respect both for your performance in the ring and supporting our hyping of the show - especially in agreeing to the seemingly disrespectful poster shots - good on you mate! Qas ... what can I say ... 'you're the man' hope you feel AT HOME on UNLEASHED.

K-1! New to us but not for long. Sadly I managed to miss both fights but universal plaudits of approval and of course we'd certainly welcome both Team Supreme and Mugkorn Dam back. Jay - it was an absolute pleasure and many thanks to your supporters.

Dale - great performance from Jack and the first time I've spoken with him. Really nice guy with masses of loyal and good natured support. Jesters as usual always welcome on UNLEASHED.

Jamie - thanks for making the trek down from Geordieland mate and congratulations to Darren.

DNA and Team Resurrection - i know the former don't frequent AX but sincere thanks to both teams whose performances genuinely added to the evenings entertainment - heartfelt thanks guys.

Getting to be like and Oscars speech but have to thank the IKF, Mr Malcolm Martin, Kevin Blaire the DJ, AAA Promotions for the ring girls and our glove runners & kick counters Ross, Al, Stephen and Nicky whose efforts are invaluable to the show.

Final comment from me .... A SINCERE THANK YOU to everyone who purchased a ticket for the event. Lee and I are still very much learning from our mistakes in respect of fight night promotion but the positive endorsement is most definately appreciated. Will there be an UNLEASHED 3, well .....?

Firstly thanks to Dave and Lee for complimentary tickets! In truth no one could complain no matter what they paid. Unleashed 2 DID beat Unleashed 1!!!!!!!!!

Great to see Mushy back on form! A great shot that finished the fight after soaking up some pressure early on.

Lee just gets better and better! You can see the USKA influence in there. A gain fighter from France who posed problems and looked better under pressure dealt with in a very proffesional manner. Well Done Lee.

Not a fan of K1 but have to say both fights were explosive. All 4 fighters obviously very well schooled and tough as old boots.lol

The main event was everything it was billed to be! I did think all the hype was a bit OTT but after the fight you have to say it was worthy!
Zander came into the lions den quite literally and did really well to stay cool during what was a rather provokative entrance. You could say maybe its what all the talk before the fight deserved? It was however very entertaining!
Respect has to go to Zander as he was one half of a very good fight. Many have already said its the best fight theyve seen or at least fight of the year.
It was definatly a fight that will stay in the memory for a while and sell lots of DVD's.
I thought personally the result was never in doubt as Qas was the agresser and showed better movement and hand speed. That said Ive seen Qas perform better but that may be down to Zander being a better fighter than I expected. He took some clean shots from Qas that have put many other fighters on there back. I was just waiting for Qas to step it up a gear and explode as he did in the last round.
I would love to see a rematch for a British title maybe over a longer distance but wonder if Zander could give anymore than he did last night and I know Qas has another gear.
Massive respect to both for a superb bout.

ALready looking forward to Unleashed 3.................

Dean

No disrespect intended, but on the looks of these photo's the attendance level does not look cost effective, and i feel would be a shame for the Unleashed brand to fall by the way side.

We all know we are involved in hard times the initial production cost of this show has to have been in the £10,000 mark.

Which they would need to sell 400 tickets at £25 just to break even, on my memory of the layout of the hall, and the angles of these photo's only looks like 250 attendee's.

I have worked closely with Jon on the Resurrection shows so i understand the fine line promotors of our much loved sport struggle within, sadly it is a sport only loved by us. and show's can only be promoted to the budget it can sustain.

Jon did learn after the first show and worked around the fact that spectators who come only have an invested interest ie, friends or family.

Please do not take this post as a dark cloud from viewing these phots it does not look like a full house, and know to what length's and cost's the Unleahsed brand go to, i hope i am wrong and that ends are meeting so the Unleashed team will carry on.

Regards and best wishes

Cath,
If you attended Unleashed 1 you'll know the room set out. As you walk in and turn left towards the back of the room is the view from the lens.
The area to buy food with tall stand up tables.
Not sure on attendance but I think it was higher than Unleashed 1 and a great atmosphere.
The seated area you see is where the Scottish contingent sat last time. This time it was full in that area with people following someone named Qasim Beg Whoever he is.lmao

Im amazed how quiet the thread is to be fair considering it was such a good show.

Come on Zander what you think of Qas?

Did anyone else get converted to K1? Never been a fan before but enjoyed it.

Who won what on the tote? did anyone win?

Hi Cath and thank you for your comments which have been received positively.

At outset I’d have to say that the photos are somewhat deceptive due to the shape of the room. The camera angles haven’t done the show justice nor the clear band created for the dancers. It should also be borne in mind that the room itself unusually provides some 12,000sq ft of uninterrupted open space with a capacity of 1,100 so I think it will be a long time before it ever looks ‘busy’. Overall however attendance figures were actually higher than previously and the atmosphere vastly improved thanks to a great crowd of supporters.

For our part we accept that we don’t have a divine right to massive support. Nor do we assume that our investment (which did run into 5 figures) will automatically generate ticket sales. It is also our responsibility to continually monitor, evaluate and adapt to ensure the shows achieve their long term objectives.

On this occasion our inexperience coupled with numerous unexpected obstacles detracted from the shows true potential but nevertheless we learned some extremely valuable lessons which will help us move forward. ’UNLEASHED’ the brand is here to stay and indeed we are probably more excited about UNLEASHED 3 than we were with 1 or 2. You are however quite right that the shows must be commercially viable for sustainability and in that respect we need to determine whether our blueprint is what the public want. Only time will tell but meanwhile thank you for your kind comments.

Hi,

Thank you for understanding the angle I was coming from, I was a little apprehensive with posting it to say the least.

I admire what you are trying to achieve, but in short getting a much wider viewing audience and more public appeal is a much great feat than many would dream of understanding.

Good luck with future investments

It's you fault then Pete. Next time ignore the fighters and focus on the audience LOL.

Seriously though I think we ourselves are somewhat to blame on numerous levels. I remember visiting one show where the sheer volume of traffic made it difficult to park. Another where the queue seemed to go on forever and yet another where I got soaked waiting 60minutes in the rain for the doors to open. Then there's the recent photo from Colin's new venue with hoards queuing up. All of which added to the sense of occasion but none are likely at UNLEASHED due to our venue having over 1,000 car parking spaces and we've extended our tenancy so that spectators can gain access to somewhere warm, dry and comfortable with refreshments for up to 2 hours prior to the show starting.

Then there's the actual room the event is hosted in where we've created clear bands for the cameramen, DJ, VIP tables and kiddies bar as well as those who like to stand at the bar rather be seated. Fighters are also isolated with over 2,000 sq ft of seperate space allocated to warm up and changing - all of which give the impression of low attendance where in reality we could have an audience of 600-700 while still leaving room for a game of 5-a-side.

'getting a much wider viewing audience and more public appeal is a much great feat than many would dream of understanding' .... ouch that's so painfully true Cath!

For event 1 we personally circulated 200 A3 posters to taxi offices, take aways, newsagents, petrol stations and corner shops within a 20 mile radius. We handed out over 5,000 leaflets by stopping people in shopping centres, waiting outside pubs at 11.00pm and then night clubs at 2.00am plus door to door distribution. We had substantial press coverage by the local media and our dedicated event site attracted over 6,000 hits. The outcome .... 13 tickets on the door!

God yes!!!

Jon had Bridie and myself and a few others doing the Nightclub and Pub circuit, 10,000 flyers in local rag, 10 towns locally labelled with posters including the host town.

10 Banners at £200 a time placed in vary imaginative ways, local radio interview with Jon, that was a classic bless him!

The venue has 2000 members all offered half price members offer!

Venue commission £10 a ticket for ones sold in there box office! (Plus paying to hire the place £2000).

What did Jon achieved 30 was highest number recorded on the door (some though were from fighters running out of tickets).

The conclusion Jon came to was small venue minimal costs and try to split it 3 ways so if a ticket costs £9 £3 goes to fighter £4 goes to the show £2 goes to the promoter. (Simple formula)

Resurrection scale is at present,
£25 per ticket
£10 goes to fighter/seller
£12 goes to the show
£3 goes to the promoter

So,
500 spectators if that is the captive audience
500 @ £25 = £12,500
Minus comm = £7500 (@ £10= £5000 wages)
Show costs = £6000 (what is allowed for wages and profit)
Profit = £1500 (for 3 months work)

So with a risk of losing £12,500 at a profit of £1500 for 3 months work and sleepless stress, can’t understand why every one doesn't promote and why promoters aren't millionaires ;-)

That is just a simple formula which Jon intends to work from now on, but please remember Jon's view point is the fighters are taking physical risks, and he is only taking financial risk so they should get the bigger slice, if they don’t fight there isn’t a show, but if the promoter does not promote there would not be a show.

It comes down to what you value most, physical health or financial gain/loss.

How do I know this because Jon promotes through an open book policy.

Food for thought though isn't it

Regards,

Cath

Hi Scott,

I cant really speak on Jon's or Resurrection's behalf with dates or matches, but i do know he is planning Resurrection 8 for between April and May 2010.

Which is if Sam and Shaun are around the same weight i would think Jon will be happy in extending an invitation to you guys.

Shaun is and will be fighting in the 72-74.5k limit for the foreseeable future.

And yes it will be £10 commission on tickets sold by fighters.

Cath

Sell 200 and you can come on our show Scott :-)
Cath Adams
Posted: 2009-11-13 11:24:15
Oops,

My apologies, just hand Jon on the phone my mistake.

Ticket commission on a Resurrection show is as follows.
0-50 tickets £5 commission
50-70 tickets £7.50 commission
80+ ticket £10 commission

As Jon says all people say is there is no money in the sport, yes your right unless the fighters them selves sell the tickets to pull in the revenue.

So incentive is there the more they sell the more they get in return if someone sells 100 tickets they deservedly get £1000, selling 100 tickets is bloody hard work. But if they don't sell tickets cant he cant pay them out of fresh air ;-)

Cath

I am sure we would jump on that mate :)We are looking to call around people in next couple of weeks and your on list.

I have been quite quiet guys, been using my phone and not laptop to check stuff and been busy. Just like to thank everyone who came to support the event and to look out for Unleashed 3 :) ... 3 is my super favourite lucky number too, so I would not expect anything other than an amaaaaazing show which will beat the 2 great shows we have already had.

Qas v Alexander was awesome! The K-1 was definetly a good decision and you will certainly see more of it, and hope my fight with Mirac entertained people. There was obvioulsy that big thread on an opponent for me and I think he was a perfect match, giving me a hard run right till the bell.

Hey Zander, welcome back mate.

Have to say it was an absolute pleasure having you on the show and hopefully not for the last time as a fighter. Meanwhile you’ll always be welcome as our guest.

Great fight with Qas and a true sport putting up with Qas’s overly enthusiastic MC :-)

You said you were coming to fight and that’s just what you. In doing so you also become one of the very few still there at the final bell awaiting the judges decision. No doubt the two of you will share much of the silverware on offer so one day a unification will likely come about. I just hope it’s on a future UNLEASHED. Until then all due respect Zander - you're a credit to Scotland.
