I hear its at 63.5kgs against Mazza from Japan.

Mazza has just defended his title after beating Lee Colville on points, he won the title on 22nd October 2005 at the same show as when I won mine.

thats a different fighter Briancal! The one Liam is matched with is the one from k.r.s who had a real battle with South African on same show Rich won his title and also beat Lee Coalville recently. He is a strong fighter in the clinch, but Liam's experience should see him through.

this show on the 10th looks to be pretty good it's part of a show that has Pongsaklek Gratingdaeng gym defendng his W.B.C world boxing title as main fight and also looks to have Samkor on the bill vs a French opponent and possibility of another w.p.m.f title defence
fight is up in Chainat province about 2 hours north of Bangkok

Hi Liam,
How are you doing. How long are you staying in Thailand. I went there 3 weeks in december and fought at Samrong. It was a real experience.

I wish you all the best in your title shot. I am curious which bond (league) it is from. (WMC,WFCA, WPKL,....???)

nicV
Posted: 2006-01-18 03:49:39
The fight went pretty well. He was counted 2 times and in round four the 3th time he was counted out. It was my first fight with elbows, and, hell yeah. It's my kind of fighting. Nothing as complete as that. The guy was way overweight though but we couldn't check it because we were to late. (problems with the chauffeur, you know how the thais are ;)

Much luck and greetings to Andy.

Go on Liam you can win this one; good luck pal.

Liam’s opponent looked strong, resilient and persistent rather technically brilliant in the clinch. His South African opponent on that day looked a strong puncher early in the fight, but less technically competent than Liam who is sharper and has a better range of weapons.

a thoroughly domininant performance. How Mazza last the 5 rounds I will never know. Liam hit him with solid leg kicks throughout, elbows and punches that would put many a fighter down, Mazza's nose was streanming blood from round 2 onwards.
