Never underestimate anyone boys the lads been in with some good names, mosab amrani - rachid belani - redouan eddady one mistake and it's curtains. Don't get me wrong liams got all the skills to fight anyone out there but I think this is a good match up and I can't wait for it, it's a different style than the top level Thais he's been fighting lately.
As for andy I can't find anything on his opponent so his 1st round really is a feel out round lol
Liam and andy are both dead excited about these fights and Liam can't wait to put his fight against anuwat to bed and show why he is the best pound for pound farang thai boxer out there. And as for andy "lord of war" Howson you know he's gunna have a slow technical quiet fight too lol
hope your enjoying your hols mate. Paul has left a message on your phone for you for when you get back about me. Ill come down monday when your back and swap back pads with you lol
Feeling out 1st round my arse mate im gunna try and bongle him off in the first 2-3 in hope i dont smash myself up too much for master skens, lol. jokes honest....
I'll let everyone know which hotel we will be using soon and hopefully we'll get a good rate for everyone, failing that Beaty is spot on they're not that bad the cells! Lol

theres a gulf of experience between jonno and shane and darren and shane, maybe in a few years sandy but not yet...shane is very experienced classy fighter jonno and daz only both have around 8-9 fights
sandy andy fights at 55kg shanes gone upto 59kg - jonno and darren are really good mates training partners so a no go there! i'd already thought of the andy v shane rematch but the weight at there level is a issue.
anymore pearls of wisdom mate? LOL

Looking still to match Ste jones Tmas Liverpool 72/74kg 1st class c fight has had a few amatuer, and darren o'connor Tmas 59-62kg b or a class? Darren did you win at the weekend?I seriously dont think you need to do cuts like that you look lie a smackhead at best of times ha ha!!!Hope your in the gym this week mate!
haha thanks matt! No i lost, when i got there they had change it to k1, after 3 rounds they give a draw and said we have to do another round to decide the winner, the extra round was a minute but they didnt tell me that, so after a minute the fight ended an i got sent back to my corner thinking have i been stopped here or something? Next thing they got us both in the middle and awarded the fight to the russian lol. Madness
ive just asked paul i needed a pic of you Darren for our poster, ive got one now lol it looks like an afterwards picture off a slimfast advert ha ha ;-D
God si i just pissed myself at that too, i mite put my silly scandal weight loss pic up from contender to take the heat off you daz, no one knew who i was, only recongnised me cause of my tats. Looking forward to it now, not the lossing 10kgs part like but the fight should be a laugh, smacking ahoy.
Simon thanks for putting "For The Glory Of" on P4tv, the fight card is now on, can you click on Coming Events ~ For The Glory Of ~ Fight Info and check its right, could do with someone letting me know the nationality of any of the fighters without a flag please. Thanks again
Yeah mate they shud be with you any day now stevie, sold loads of tickets the last few days don't miss out watching the show people! Liams on the war path after the anuwat fight plus the rest of the card is shaping up to be a cracker. Soon be able to purchase the tickets online too.
Well I thought I couldn't top the fact Liam Harrison was on a show that I was actually promoting, but I have ;-)! Welcoming to the ring your MC for the night Douglas "the best in the business" McAdam alias cannaebebotheredtraining will be MC'ing the show. Great to have you on board mate.
All Joking aside, Jonno is right, Big Dougie is the best MC in the UK (only since John Lamb hung up his mike). well done on gettin the gig, still prefer him commentating though
stevie
Well female viewers better beware, Big D is that good he has the ability to make women climax by just pointing to them LOL That came from the Big D himself LOL
Got to agree though Stevie, D is a top-notch commentator "I want her in the Red corner to win, she's hot" LOL
Actually MTK, I have to point at them and say 'BOOM'. It's a trick I learned from my good buddy Chuck Norris.
Shit, there I go 'name dropping' again.
Never ever 'name drop'... Robert DeNiro once told me that.
Anyway, I just want to say thanks to Simon for giving me a stage an audience and a mic, I can't wait to get in there now. I've even bought a pair of SHINY shoes for the occasion.
The very best of luck to my friends Davy Mac, Jordan C, Liam H and Andy H.
You can now buy your tickets to see "For The Glory Of" and Dougie in his new shiny shoes at www.p4tv.com ~ Home Page ~ Coming Events ~ For The Glory Of ~ Fight Info & Tickets.
anyone wishing to stay in an apartment http://liverpool-city-apartments.co.uk/ the rates are great and if you quote the show you will receive discount on the apartment it's actually cheaper to rent one of these bad boys than a hotel that charges you per person per night. If theres 3/4 people that want to share or if one doesn't mind sleeping on the couch. The apartments are just off Duke Street and are right in the heart of town, ring Warren on 07792212712 he's the man to talk to.
And yes this is! how we role at www.forthegloryof.co.uk word up!

Best of luck with the show looks a boss venue and line up im away in Thailand at the mo and wont make it to your show all the best and to all competing will support your next one Paul & Kirsty :)
Ok here goes people, im gutted to have to tell everyone that i now will not be fighting on this show :-( I snapped something in my shoulder/neck last week and had a few days off to see how it was getting on thinking it would be ok but not much change, and with only a week to go to the fight i thought it isnt worth running the risk not only of a silly lose on my record but also risk making it worse and then not been able to fight on Master Skens show (which i will be on 100%) Ive been to physio and they said it looks like i have damaged the rotator cuff in shoulder and trapped a nerve so im back there tomorow for a bit of electric shock on it and a deep massage, should be ok in a couple of weeks.
I just want to say im so sorry to Si, i was really looking forward to this and helping him out with his first show, he has always been spot on with me and not is my sponsor but 1 of my best mates and it really pissed me off to have to let him down, but i will be there helping you out with whatever you need in the show mate, and now at least i get to corner for a few people and watch the smacking up close, going to be a great show, just gutted im now not a part of it. Booooooooooo.
Good luck all Sapphire guys (and gal, becks) Jordan C i shall now be diving all over your corner...standard. And obviously all the badco guys and gal, espeicially liam who has been looking awesome last couple of weeks and ive never seen him so determined, itsd amazing what getting your leg mangled can do to you, lol. Providing darren won on the show, would there ever be chance of a defence rematch vs josh? good luck aswel darren id bet every penny on u if someone would take it !
I want the rematch whenever someone puts it on a show, if not i'll put it on my next one and we want the re-match with mason there his only loses - and he'll put whatever belt on the line as defence if he can't beat them then he doesn't deserve to keep them but he will!!!!! ;-)
fooking great attitude si. i would love to see them fights....obviously would have to speak 2 scott but for a british title full rules woud make it a tempter i think! good luck with the show pal gunna be a cracking one.... easy on the after party ;)
Aaron & Co from Siam Warriors arrived last night and Sulleyman Gunyar, Ali Gunyar & Buray all turned up this morning I think thats the most nerve racking bit about promoting international fights "the opponents arriving" LOL. The shows gunna be off the hoooooooook!

Especially good luck to Davy Mac, Jordan C and Liam H for their fights tomorrow.
Can't wait to see these guys do their thing.

Thanks again everyone hope you can make it down to see "the hitman" and the rest of the card do us all proud!
Liam was devastating. Calm, clinical and patient, but when he unleashed with the first elbow of the contest, it ceased to be a contest from there on in. The elbow hit him clean and really rattled him, Ruben took the count. Liam tyen upped the pressure andknocked him off his feet with a left hook, lowkick and stepped in with a knee, but Ruben was already going down and the knee landed clean on the side of Rubens nose. Ruben didnt make the count. When Dave Jackson started waving it over, Ali Gunyar got in the ring protesting that it was a foul knee as Ruben was already on the floor, then they noticed that Rubens gumshield had fallen out and started saying that he had gone down to pick up his gumshield; To which liam started laughing, and walked back to his corner.
Saying that, I think the star of the show for me was Davy "smack-attack" Macintosh.
The Commonwealth title eliminator with Aaron O Callaghan was an amazing display of muay thai. Davy found another level last night, and made it so frustrating for Aaron that he gave up at 2-min 55 of round 4. Everything Aaron was trying, Davy had an answer for. Great distancing, great timing and a next-level performance.
All in all a great show with loadsa great fights. Good to see some of the new breed coming through on big shows like this. Well done to Si Audley and all at "FOR THE GLORY OF" Promotions.
A souvenier??!!Im sure i saw you leave what didyou knick this time, honestly scousers have got an unfair reputation its the dirty mancs that you have to make sure everythings nailed down for!!haha
thanks to Si for having me on, and cheers to Richard and all the badco boys for the prep, especially davy, brilliant performance mate you really deserved that, defo number 1 at 57kg in most peoples eyes after that performance.
cheers for everyone for the support...magic kiss for uncle vince too x
Well done Simon cracking show mate, would also like to thank Daz Morris for convincing Sandy that it was his round (about bloody time lol) some really good fights, Big Alex top dj'ing lol nice one buddy.
just want to thank simon for putting me on this show and thanks to all who have wished me good luck and said nice things about my fight. Couldnt meet a better bunch of lads than martin, aaron and the other irish boys!
Most of all thanks to everyone that helped get me ready for this fight, especially liam for the hours of padwork and richard, andy, badger, kyle etc for all their help.
Special thanks to Vinny for everything as well
Just want to say thanks to my dad for training me for this fight and to darren for making it a hard fight for me what i need lol and thanks to simon for having me on the show and to kyle and andy for corner work x
Just want to say congratulations to davie macintosh for the best performance i,ve seen him put in, you were sharp, powerfull and devastating and getting better fight by fight. Jordan Calder ground out a great result against a tough opponent, exactly the type of fight you needed, well done pal. Congrats to Liam also, you bashed that guy good and proper, Ouch! And finally, Douglas McAdam's MCing was first class, all in all, great show.
Well done Liam (outlandish elbow that dropped him first time i loved it) Davy smackrat Mac, you where amazing mate, fight of the night no doubt, a brilliant display of timing and movement you controlled it and that was your best performance to date and you have got better and better every fight. Soon to be uk number 1 i reckon and its about time mate, well done, now no1 spot and commonwealth title please :-) Jordan mate you mad it hard work darren was a strong boy but you showed heart to get through it and pull off the win even though i did have to slap you before the last round, haha. Darren T good smacking mate, thats all i gotta say, good smacking.
And si well done mate a really good first show, some great matching and when its o p4tv and everyone see's that watch how packed out the next one is gunna be, and i wont be fooking injured for it this time (i hope) well done mate. x

class :-)
Sorry my hangover wouldn't let me get on here yesterday. Got to thank all fighters and officials for their patience and professionalism, show got off to a slow start, we were a bit behind schedule but once it got going it was very smooth, big thanks to the Scottish boys and girls who travelled down hope you enjoyed the weekend. Irish lads were ace too Martin & co are top lads, Team Gunyar, badco, Hanuman, Fortitudo, Merseythai, Caledonian, Teeside Thai boxing, Sit Ayuthaya, Warrington Wolfslair, thanks also to my team from Sapphire that helped me with the show.
Congrats to Jessica Neilsson the new ISKA Nortern Area Champion, she fought a clever fight and learnt from her mistakes from their previous fight and proved the saying "that you learn more from a loss than you do a win" nice kid too.
Daveymac & liam were awsome, davy has to get a chance at the No1. spot now thats the best ive seen him.
I'll learn from any mistakes I made for the next show, this is not may last I enjoyed it loads and plan to maintain some quality shows next year in liverpool.
Already have a few matches in mind…
p.s. dougie is the best MC out there and took over all the organising of mic's running order, fight cards, sponsors mentions etc etc. he was a saviour cos i'd forgot about that bit.
I urge anyone to get him on your show, Grand Master Sken could do no better than getting Dougie on the November show ask anyone.
Damien needs to hire him too for the Reebok, he has the shiniest shoes in the business x
I have to concur, Dougie has improved exponentially and is the best in the business,
BTW i would like to thank Simon for looking after us so well at the weekend, all my guys had a great time and look forward to returning the compliment.
Firstly well done everywon on their fights. Liam H. Dont meen to hijak the thread. Just on a curious note would you V Fabio Pinca be a possible future fight on the cards???
big thanks and well done to simon and everyone on the show
davy was great againts aaron very stong heavy kicks and very fit and showed in the fight.a well deserved win from a true gent. i had to laugh when i looked accross to his corner with a mass of experence and my corner facinated at the ring girls.in aaron defence he dident fire at all on all cyclinders and wasent himself.taking nothing from davy hope he gets his no1 spot now at 57kgs uk.
andy eoin wants his t-shirt back

aaron is a top fighter and very tough all the best to him in future fights.
i think Fabio pinca had been fighting 65-67kg recently someone said on another forum his minimum weight is 65kg so he might be a bit heavy my next fight is at 62kg and this one was at63 but never say never, Mrsmith does my matching
What a brilliant show!
Simon, still can't believe that was your first promotion mate, National Press, Title Bouts, A Class Bouts, International bouts, Liam Harrison on the card etc etc etc... you certainly like to hit the ground running.
Simon, you are such a top bloke and it shows in the way your team at saphire pulled together to help with your first promotion. Everyone wanted it to be a success and they were not disappointed. There is a kind of family closeness within your camp that is inspiring and you should be proud.
On to the fights.
Davy Mac was exceptional. Clinical, calculated, composed his performance was outstanding. I'm so proud of him and I too can only echo the above comments that he has done everything he needs to do regards his place in the rankings and he is definitely due a title shot.
Davy...You'll be a great and worthy champion mate and you'll have done it the hard way, ducking no-one, taking on the hard challenges, the best opponents and often without having had a proper fight camp. You have the warrior spirit and that's what it's all about.
Jordan Calder needed that one, definitely his toughest test since Jonno last Oct. Darren is a cracking young fighter who gave Jordan a hard time and I predict big things for him also.
Not wishing to take anything away from young Darren, you didn't look your usual self on Saturday night but you stuck in and put enough together to take a points victory. Having an off night and taking a win...that's what champions do!
Liam Harrison, as an MC / Ring Announcer but first and foremost a Muay Thai fan, it truly was an honour to introduce to the ring one of the best fighters on the planet. Your opponent was outgunned, no question, that said... being used to seeing you mix it with the top fighters in the world (Saenchai, Anuwat, Namphon, Somkorn, Sarmsamut etc) it was good to be reminded just HOW good you are. Clinical and devastating finish mate, well done.
Great to meet so many new faces and also to catch up with some old ones.
I was gutted for young Connor McEwan who lost his title bout against the extremely talented Darren Till, both fighters have big things ahead of them and well done Darren.
Sorry this post is so long but I'm almost finished, lol, I promise.
In conclusion, I just want to give a heart felt thanks firstly to Simon for giving me the opportunity to present my first show south of the border, and secondly to everyone who came and made it the show that it was.
You've said some really kind things on here, in person, by phone or by text and I appreciate all the feedback and positive comments.
I only want to get better though so I will always appreciate critical feedback equally.
As for "best in uk", I'm not sure about that but even to get a mention is hugely flattering.
As a Ring Announcer I'm far from being the finished product but I care enough about the job and the sport to WANT to be better, to WANT to be the best.
Once again, thanks everyone.
Much love
