Yes indeed, am very excited about this card...4 A class fights, 4 B class plus supporting c class bouts, going to be awesome. Addition to the card includes

Michael Wiseman v Tommy Kiltie (Wossobama)67kg B class

Also finalising matches for Chris Connelly, Brian Totty,Linzi Dumfries, Ailsa Currie, Ben Brown, Ross Jack.

One of our Oran Mor female stars is missing this show due to a world title bash in Greece on same day (which is fair enough..), so good luck Hil Mack v Claudia Fontebasso

Ticlets are now on sale from the Griphouse and the Venue, let the smack talk begin.....

Sorry Keith! I'm on it..and good result in Liverpool.
JP, Always happy to showcase good juniors, you and Bradley are definitely two of the best in Scotland at the mo. It was great having Craig Walton and Alex Smith on last time, very important experience, and one of the reasons Jordan evolved into such a strong fighter.

2 more fights confirmed, both C class bouts, both Caledonian v
Sit Ayuthaya..

Brian 'Junior' Totty v Danny Douglas 65kg
Ailsa Currie v Connie Haslacher 58kg

sorry, misinformation r.e weigh-ins...all c class are on day weigh-ins, as are two of the b class fights (maryport dragons lads).

Thanks to John Douglas and Gary Douglas for working some showbiz magic with an interview about his title challenge on Oran mor IV last night at the Born Fighters show, conducted by John 'Retired' Lamb.
Talking to a few of the usual suspects, there's a lot of excitement about the card, and if styles make fights, then Douglas v Smith will be a belter.

R.e tickets, there will be a few reserved on the door, but if it goes to sell out, I'll post.
R.e betting... I think one of the reasons this card rocks is that it's very hard to call predictions, as the matches are well balanced, so no decent bookie is likely to take the risk!! Clearly my money is on all my guys and gals! I respect my team so much, they never bitch no matter who I put in front of them, and the harder the fight, the better.

I am pleased to announce that Darren Philips (GFC England) will be heading up the judges and referees for the event, accompanied by judging team Gary O'Brien, Maxine Philips, Jim Walton and referees Rab Burt and Duncan Ireland.

Day before weigh-ins will be at the Griphouse, under Darren's supervision from 1-2pm. (exception of the French team, who arrive later). All tickets need to be returned/ paid for at the weigh-in.
On day weigh-in 10am-11am at the venue. Our scales are calibrated and accurate, so if you've got dodgy old scales, check 'em on a new set!

Our MC is the wonderful lady of the ring, Kim Hamilton, and our DJ who will deal with entry music is Thomas Weir

As we have 4 A and 4 B class fights, we have two doctors on the day, headed by Paul Drake, and accompanied by our paramedic team Iain and Christine.

Running order will be up soon, thank you to everybody who has supported, even when we couldn't match your fighters, we will return the support.

I don't want to shift tickets on false pretences...unfortunately Jo's opponent has had to pull out due to an administrative balls up courtesy of our new draconian entry laws to the UK.
So, anyone who was going to see Jo specifically that is holding a ticket, if you no longer wish to attend, we will refund your ticket, please contact gill on the box office on the day.
Absolutely gutted for Jo (and Ferial), hopefully we can get the fight on again very soon. Thanks to Paul Kelly for doing his damnedest to try and keep the fight on.

Big apolagies to JoJo as Ferial, who hold a South African passport only found out she needed a visa for the Uk on Monday when we were checking in online for the flights. We were over fighting in Crawley and Leeds last year and she did not have a problem then. But they changed the rules recently and she had to get all the proper docs, even proof of where Guy was putting her up hotel wise. Could only get an interview at the UK embassy yesterday and they said should be done in 24hrs. When she rang today she had to communicate through a call centre in Hungary,go figure, which now is the only place who can process visas and queries for the UK and they told her it would be up to 15 days and definitely not before the weekend. I rang them myself and then even got direct onto the embassey but red tape won out and no joy. Gutted for the two girls but still looking forward to coming over with the Lo brothers.

Will defo get that on again with JoJo, most likely on the Power Of Scotland it looks like, once we get this visa stuff sorted out. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces tomorrow and getting to know some new ones.

Cheers,
Paul.

Brian mate stop being you for a moment please. I'm not saying it was a paper mismatch. I'm not taking away from his win - someone wins because they're better and that's the bottom line. Jordan is a fantastic fighter. I'm saying he was a million times better than the guy he fought and a mismatch, in my eyes, is when both fighters are on completely different skill levels and Jordan was on a whole other level.

Right here we go lol,

Thanks very much to guy for giving my lads a shot at the titles cant thank you enough for making us all feel welcome.

Thanks bryan for the comments jp is a credit to the gym and he can only get better the two boys looked as tho they had been fighting for years both are big stars for the future and no doubt their paths will cross again.

Im actually not long out the hospital with john, he badly damaged his foot in the 2nd rnd and was struggling to do anything, if i had listened i would have stopped it there and then but i thot it was all in his head lol so i apologise to john for that. it was a really good fight both guys showed great skill. before he got injured i thot john looked great sharp and focused but these things happen, i dont want to sound like im taking anything away from Gordon he fought a great fight and is one of the genuine nice guys in Muaythai all the best for the future Gordon.

Finally massive well done to keith, fantastic mate really happy for u, i really like tommy but kieths my BHOY lol after all these years of shouting you finally kept your guard up haha.

Great show well done Guy!!......Mark and Stevie was fight of the day i reckon, 2 absolute warriors and 2 of the nicest guys in the sport, Mark just scoring better with his body kicks, never seen a fight with both fighters in neutral corners with a doctor working on each of them before lol
Over the moon for Gordon, great dislay of kicking! best performance of his career and he needed it cos he knew he was up against it going into the fight and a lot of people thought John would win, fair play to John after breaking his foot round 2, hope he s back in action soon as he s one of scotlands best without a doubt Gordon just wanted this one so bad!
Jordan was brilliant and the right hand that finished his opponent was horrible, im just glad he didnt rush in with elbows and waited at least 6 seconds into the first round ha
Gutted for Tommy but he ll be back stronger im sure, well done to Keith, nobody really gave him a chance coming into the fight and he proved them wrong myself included, would love to see a rematch as im sure Tommy would be out to get his belt back and Keith would want to prove it was no one off shot, would defo be very interesting!
Thought JP Gallagher and Brad were excellent, 2 fighters with brilliant style and ability and really nice kids!

As the promoter, I would like to thank everybody yesterday for their professionalism and dedication in making this the best O.Mor event to date. The matches were all tough fights for both, none more so than Stevie Brown v Mark DeLuca, which is possibly the best A class fight I have seen in Scotland. I am delighted we managed to get this fight on the card.
12 fights, 6 KO's, wrapped up in 4 hours is a promoter's dream, I couldn't have done it without the help of all my team, backstage and front of house, particularly the 'glue' in the mix, M.C Kim Hamilton.
Thanks go to Darren Philips for providing constructive feedback to our C and B class match refs, and his reffing of the A class bouts.
I'll post later as coach...

Wot a show!!! Well done Keith quality mate you txt me sayin that left hook was gonae do damage... Fight of the day at 1st i thought was Smith v Douglas until the war with Stevie and Deluca never a dull moment when Stevie Brown fights unlucky mate.. Young Jordan Calder again pulling off a cracking perfomance think the mention of a mismatch is a bit harsh like any fighter does they fight who is put in front of them.

Brilliant show Guy best one yet by far, thanks for bringing the French over for Jordan to fight.

Brad v JP was brilliant and both kids are outstanding and showing everyone that the youngsters coming through in our sport are top class. I was very proud of Bradley yesterday, but I always am.

Mark De Luca, I didn't see much of your fight mate but you are a true warrior in every sense of the word, brilliant, as was Stevie Brown, 2 top guys.

Gordon Smith, what can I say not many thought he could win this fight, but he stuck to the game plan and listened, then carried it out, brilliant mate I am so pleased for you, that belt is yours now to keep and no-one deserves it more.

Jordan Calder you were ace yesterday wee man, fighting A Class at 14 and now 16, that right hand was horrible, you deserve everything you get in this sport because no-one works harder than you and the reason you do so well is because of your work ethic it is on a different level. Well done son we are all proud of you.

And last but not least a massive thank you to the Badco boys DavyMac, Andy and Liam who help me so much with Jordan and have done for years (along with loads of other people) couldn't do it without everyone, thanks.

I got to see most of stevie + marks fight and it was a great war,but i tought stevie looked the stronger fighter and didnt stop coming forward, great fight lads well done
and again for john and Gordan i seen most of the fight with john looking the stronger in the 1st half the the foot took its toll and gordan came back stronger to win it,but most people would have stoped with that foot,i seen it after the fight in the dressing room + i think would have been a differnt fight without it,well done and hats off to john for not giving up,iam sure he will be back for the belt when he gets the foot sorted

Quick post only because there's some guys fighting yesterday who haven't had a mention which is nuts, because they were amazing...Mikey Wiseman gets stronger and stronger, his crunching body shots disposed of Lithuanian fighter last month, and again brought a fast and dramatic fight with a very able Tommy Kiltie to a rapid conclusion.
Adrian Wedolowski is now 6-0, 4 by stoppage, this time he had a strong opponent in Darrern Lo (who looked massive for a 70kg fighter) and had his chin tested, but again, enjoying the step up to b class, won by KO through a sustained volley of knees to the head.
Stuart Graham from Lanark DNFT who used knees so effectively against Dave
Prosser in his last thai fight, showed he has great hands too, mixing them well to stop Gareth O'Leary (rd 1 I think?)
I'm going to mention Ross too, because his achievement yesterday was awesome..we had a deal a year ago that went something like this..'you lose 20kgs and i'll get you a fight'...22kgs later, and only 1 year of training, Ross goes the distance with Jason Lo. What an amazing effort and huge balls award. Right, i'm off to the airport. Again.

I would like to echo the many good comments on here. The show was great, with some excellant talent!! The junior title fight was a pleasure to watch and once again reinforced my oponion that no head contact junior bouts are a way to develope muay thai skills.

Gordon v John was superb and I was thinking, "they will have to go a long way to beat that for fight of the night!!

Wallop, two lunatics proceed to beat the doodies out each other. Stevie showed such amazing heart and breavery and never stopped attacking, mark was just a little bit to clever with the scoring, what a fight. Mark was cut first and whilst in a potential more worrying place, it didn't bleed that much, then Stevie was cut in the same round and his bleed loads. Striclty you shouldn't stop a fight to be looked at by the doctor mid round, but with both lads bleeding I thought it better to ask the doctors to have a look. Then I found myself thinking, right what happens here if the doctor doesn't want them to go as they were both bleeding. Fortuantley the doctor was happy with them both to carry on and both lads looked at me like I was mad when I asked if they wanted to carry on! trust this to be the only fight that was not unanimous, and it be Maxien who gave the fight to Stevie. We then had to discuss the fight, over dinner, on the train on the way home and still this morning!!

Fights were great, hospitailty from Guy and everyone involved with the show was great and the venue was nice as well.

Well done all invovled

no offence was meant at all with regards to the one off comment earlier and think it was taken the wrong way a little bit, i know Keith is aggressive and strong and saw his last 2 stoppage wins on Master A s show then down in Liverpool so knwo what he is capable of! he s a top guy as well and im sure he knew i wasnt taking anything away from his win......i just meant it would add a bit of spice to a rematch cos Tommy was favourite going into the fight and would be exciting to see if it went same way or not. Great win for him nonetheless and hope he gets more good fights and opportunities after his recent performances.

p.s the father and son s.t.b.a champions thing is quality good work!

Just want to touch on everything thats already been said about the show, Guy that was MINT mate, the best Oran Mor show ive been to, some great fights from start to finish. JP and Brad was a brilliant fight and shows what a bright future those 2 have really enjoyed watching it from Brads corner.

Gordon mate im so pleased for you, you was the underdog in lmost peoples eyes and proved them all wrong with what was you best performance to date, congrats mate :) loved your fight, really good to watch and was defo on for fight of the night until those 2 idiots got in a few fights later, Mark and Stevie took that off them right away. Was an amazing fight with them both been cut in the second round, and Stevie been agressive with his boxing and crazy elbow attacks but Mark was just taking the rounds with his clean body kicks and moving Stevie off balance with them.

Jordan was great as always and loved his stupid elbows been thrown about after all of about 10seconds, you watch me too much little man, lol.

Great show Guy well done and thanks for having us and for putting Mark on the show.

The following is a message from Tommy Young who no longer has an Ax account, he sent this to me and asked that I post it on his behalf:

"Just wanted to say well done to Keith and that i still have a sore jaw haha! As a fighter, a coach and a fan of muay thai i know that these things can happen to anyone, anytime they step into the ring..... that said i am still GUTTED to have lost the fight, the belt and to have had my first stoppage loss.
I am not gonna make any excuses, Keith launched in with a left hook at the same time my right hand decided to visit my chest and my chin popped up lol... shit happens and I made a mistake at a bad time.
I have never considered myself 'chinny' and have taken big shots from big guys (inc pro boxers) but I was caught flush on the money.
Anyone who has seen me fight knows this in not the kind of mistake I usually make and i would love the opportunity to redeem myself in a rematch at some point this year as I believe the fight was only just underway!
Im not on here to take anything away from Keith... the opposite in fact... well done mate and i hope we can do it again, but for now i wish the father and son champ team all the best!"
