Did I miss something...
With respect, how does L. Turner apologise and pull out from a matchup with Paul K. (due to injury) in early May, but then step in at the eleventh hour to achieve such a fantastic result???
Mr Smith writes:
Unfortunately Liam was taken ill yesterday morning and has had to pull out of the fight with Kotsur. We are gutted about this - its the forst time Liam has ever had to pull out of a fight especially at such short notice and the first time this has happened with any Bad Company Fighter.
Luke Turner agreed to step in as Kotsur was already here at 4.00 yesterday afternoon and weighed in at 65kg this morning. Kotsur was 64 yesterday. The fight is now a non title fight but still a great opportunity for Luke and will be a great fight. He had to turn down fighting Paul Karpowicz aon this show a few weeks ago due to an injury affecting his training. He is now recovered but obviously hasn't had ideal preparation. This was too good an opportunity to turn down and we didn't want to let the promoters down.
Apologies to everyone for Liam pulling out but he wouldnt have done unless absolutely necessary and good luck to Luke who's grabbed this with both hands.
Giant well done to Kiatphontip gym and Brad Stanton ,
i didnt fight as well as i can but he performed very very well.
Josh Turbil , Andy Thrasher ,Kris Addis, LUKE TURNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,
all did AMAZING.
Dainton had a warrr.
fight of the night,
Till x amazing tillzilla
thanks for the opportunity, loved testing myself against the best, and thanks to richard smith to believing i could do it. regarding paul k, i pulled out of that due to injury, and i havent really trained since i hurt my foot other than keeping fitness with running. but with an opportunity like that regardless i coulsnt turn it down, and as richard said bad company dont let promoters down. was an awesome show, am really proud to have been part of it. Well done to Thrasher, Turbill your a hard nutter, and kriss addis was clinical! x
well done to daz morris, daz phillips avi and co for putting this show on.
Little bit disappointed with the results so far.I really thought i won just meet you outside mate x

See you there !!!
That photo is phenomenal, couldn't have caught it any better
Great photo - amazing timing.
Well done to Darren Morris, Darren Phillips and team - what a great show and great fights. We had the boxing on in our changing room for a while and the standard of fights, presentation and overall quality was far better at the Reebok. Tgere were some great fights and excellent matchmaking.
We were gutted about having to pull Liam out for being forced to let people down and also for the lost opportunity for Liam - this was a great fight, the opportunity for another title and a good payday. However one mans loss is often another mans gain and Luke stepped in without hesitation which show how big his heart is. It shows how strong the gym is too that we have a replacement at this level.
Luke was amazing he was nervous because although I had faith in him he was walking into the unknown and really testing himself.
Luke fought great in the first round - Kotsur tried to intimdate him by throwing power shots and Luke was a bit hesitant at first but grew in confidence as the round went on and he realised he wasn't hurting him. It was Liam that spotted the weakness and told Luke to step in with the elbow when Andre threw the right. The first time he did it, it worked beautifully and the rest is history. Fantastic result for Luke and for the gym. Well done to him for grabbing the opportunity and for rising to it. Thanks to Andre for giving it to him - he didn't have to take the fight.
great show massive win for luke well done, there was afew dodgey draw decsions but all in all great show look forward to the next 1
I don't care if I have to rob a bank, I'm buying an EOS 1D.

Was this a UKMF show?
if not who were the judges?
It was a UKMF show in the end Steve. That said, previously the organisers of the Rumble at the Reebok have only used judges who have passed the same assessment as UKMF officials anyway mate. Well done to everyone involved, some really close, exciting fights along with a few upsets all went to make a really entertaining show.
What a show, absolutely incredible.
The fights were brilliant.
All A & B class and great match making throughout.
How about that opening sequence?
That was something... dancers, acrobats, pyrotechnics, glitter bombs, flame crucibles, C02's etc etc etc
During all this I said to one of the promoters "How do you top this mate" He said "You'll just have to wait and see" HAHA!
Big thank you to the Rumble Team for having me to present your show, it was a pleasure.
Us officials were well taken care of with plenty of drinks and snacks at ringside, that was a nice touch that was appreciated by all of us, thank you.
Daz, Darren, Avi, Adam and Gaz... thanks for all your help throughout the event.
Well done to ALL fighters and in particular Luke Turner and of course the now TWO TIME WORLD CHAMPION...ANDY THRASHER! I'm well pleased for you mate.
If you haven't already...get Oct 10th in your diary folks...it's in mine!

Thanks fightinc for having my two fighters on, the show was brilliant and quality from start to finish.
John V Lyndon was starting to turn into possibly WAR of the night when an old scar on his shin opened john was devasted but the doctor stopped it for his own good and future fights. He loved it and ive converted him to thai now. Not bad 1st thai fight against lyndon knowles haha.
Darren v Adrian - gotta thank guy and adrian for a great fight, adrian was relentless and defo one to watch in the future, his 6 fight record doesn't do his ability justice. I was told how strong and agressive his style was, I was also told he'd stop darren! Think that was darrens best fight so far and it takes two to make a good fight so thanks alot again to Adrian and team.
Hope a few people get behind darrens career cos he is still only 17years old ISKA OR British Champ at 16years old the kid wants to be the next big thing. He's talented and is only going to get better........

Impressed by Luke Turner and quite a few of the other fighters who i had'nt seen to much of previously.
Tremendous By Andy Thrasher.
I just wonder if it's the "death" of small shows now? The likes of Carnell centre,Heywood Civic...etc or will there still be a market for these shows? I think there still a place for smaller shows as not everybody can shell out for the big shows and the bar prices LOL.
Well done to everybody involved.
Hopefully the smaller shows will still do well and maybe start acting as feeder shows to some of these big ones?Any pictures of Darren Tills fight by any chance?Cracking photo's by the way.
really enjoyed the voice over b4 the fighters entered the ring reconds n a little info good stuff should defo hope it stays for rising at reebok.
great show well done

this was a great fight skeer looked good but i will say brocky won like i put earlier in the tread how was it scored if 1 judge sees it as a wash out but it ends up bein a draw maybe i watched the fight with tinted glasses but every1 i spoke to after the agreed brocky won so i will ask agen how are fights gettin scored. well done to mark skeer not taking anything away from him! sorry for putting a negative on such a great show but thought that this needs to be address
The IKMF need to address this...
too many draws and split decisions??? judges seem to be watching different fights..no consistancy... shame.
no reflection on the show though, top drawer.
One of the best shows Ive ever been to.
The whole set up was good, great venue, excellent matches, loved all the little
bits that made it special - Pyrotechnics, big screens, dancers, ring girls,
gymnasts etc...
well done Fight Inc!!
IMHO What a load of rubbish,
the officials at the Rumble were some of the best in the country! who would you suggest could do a better job?
If you disagree with the resluts can i ask you a question? were you waching as a fan or as a judge?
Are you qualified as a judge?
How many "top" trainers in the UK have failed the UKMF assesment? could be a very embarresing answer!
People are working hard to raise the profile and profesionalism of the sport in the UK, great promotions like this can only happen with officials who put their reputations on the line!

I just want to say a Huge Thank You to everyone who made the Rumble at the Reebok II possible. There are far too many people to name individually and I would like to start by pointing out that I very much appreciate everything that everyone did to help us on the day whether I mention them here or not. I would especially like to thank the Fighters, the Fans, the Coaches, the Doctors, the Runners, the Security, the Caterers, the Dancers & Acrobats, the AV Crew, all of the Officials and the Film Crew to name just a few.
I would also like to highlite a few people without whom the Show simply would not have been possible. Darren Phillips for your excellent Match Making and the faultlessly professional way in which you deal with each and every problem that is put before you. Daz Morris for your unparalleled Vision, Drive, Devotion and your continual desire to go one step beyond anything that has ever been done before. My Brother Adam for Managing the Creativity and Marketing of the Show with so much Thought and Passion. Gary Solomons for your impeccable profesionalism in Project Managing the Show. Craig Nuttall for being a perfect Ambasador for both the Show and for Fight inc. in general. David Knowles Jnr & Snr, Andy Jackson, Phil, Anthony and all the others who ran around making sure everything happened as it should and when it should you were all just incredible.
I have to say that despite being kept busy the whole night helping with one thing or another I enjoyed every last second of it. I am incredibly proud to be a part of Fight inc. Muay Thai has a very bright future ahead of it in which Fight inc. will play a very big part.
Thank you once again to all of you.
I can't wait to see you all at our next Show the Rising at the Reebok on June 20th!

Weazeldeazel,I think most people were in agreement on here and at the show,But i think most people also thought Brocky had done enough to win,I did.
But hey....i'm just a fan.
weazeldeazel wot is rubbish about wot i sed an wot i ask if all judges were trained the same or attended the same course then how could they be so different in how they scored the fight? and no i am not a judge maybe i did watch the in the eyes of a fan/fighter the question is still there y scored so different?
thanks chalky alot of other people thought the same.
Well Kev,It's just the way i thuoght it had gone and many others,In honesty.
It's a good point to bring up if judges all passed/attended the ukmf assement then why so much difference in scoring/result?
Lets not get into a negative though as it was a great show.
i totally agreed chalky am sorry to bring it up but i thought it needed to be address it was a great show with great fight the 2 daz's done a great job
Phil and Kev, how many times on here do we see people not agreeing with a decision? the last Rumble we had Jut & Damian and countless other times usually by someone in some way connected to the gym involved.
I just think its easy to blame officials when as i mentioned some of the UK`s top coaches have failed the assesment, the relevance of this is if top gyms dont fully understand scoring then where does that leave the rest of us?
As for one judge scoring differently to the others, who were the judges? did you see the score cards? Thats why there are 3 judges to make sure the result is correct. Different view, crowd effecting the score lots of reasons why a judge could have it differently but the stats on consistency are something like 90-95% agreement oppose to boxing which is alot lower.
Not attacking you two i just dont like people critisizing the officials as these ones on this show are awesome.
this is only kev not phil, i know about the damian an juk at the last reebok as i was there i also know the decision got overturned i know judging is hard i am only askin the question on how was it scored now i am not a judge like i sad earlier but sum of the people that told me they had brocky winning are judges, the fact is i maybe wrong in thinkin brocky won but i will be able c the video soon then wot if i am right? this is not a attack on any1 like i sed this type of stuff needs to be address mistakes can be made we are only human.
People have to question what they dont understand....
Its the only way they will understand eventually
its important to recognise definitions here.
a split decision is not forced to be a dramatically shock horror result
for example judge A give the fight a draw over 4 rounds and the last round to Blue. judge B give the last round to Blue corner and Judge C gives the last round to Red. A close fight resulting in a split decision.
Whats happening here is people imagining split means land slide decisions in favour of contrasting corners....that may not be the case.
What i do want to see happen is that in future scores read out with the judges named for A class fights and on lesser fights judges named and their results announced as a corner colour.
ie; A class fights mc announces "Judge Kev ward scores 48/47 in favour of the blue corner" etc etc.
C and B class bouts mc announces "Judge Kev ward scores the bout in favour of the blue corner"
total transparency no hiding total professionalism

agree with dave croft on the last post.
I am not sure I agree with the sentiment that somebody questioning the accuracy of the judges should be seen as a "load of rubbish"
It is in the interest of all to be transparent and learn and improve. It is so easy to jump on the feelgood bandwagon about a great show/event/promotion and fail to question things.
After all.... improvement can be made from pointing things out and resentment and bad feeling can bubble under the surface when things are not cleared up.
Was always told "its not the customer that complains who you lose - its the ones that dont!"
I'm going to post something about the show when I get chance to properly compose my self and choose carefully what I want to say.
On the subject of the Officals. The Officals were choosen becasue they are the best availble. All the judges have undertaken a rigerous assessment and training path. They were amongst the most experienced and well trained judges in the country. It is very unusual to have split decisions when using these judges, the fact that there were several on this show just shows how close the fights were.
As a result of the complaing about decisions on Saturday, two of the judges on the show have indicated a lack of willingness to judge again. This is a great loss to our sport!
just had myself a bollicking an thanks for clearing it up
questioning a decision may promote a learning curve or just be sour grapes. its all about the motives.
questions generally good. hence i propose transparency in all matters
Lets not get away from the most magical result Luke turner beating a fighter whose is known the world over, when these chances come alot would shy away but this kid too the bull by the horns, look into it more he even in his own admission gave up v Leroy at the town hall, then changed gyms because of Uni from Jai thai gym and had to take and gain respect of fighters from Badco and that he did and has proved himself to not only them but mainly to himself i have nothing but respect for him and what he did Andre is a lovely guy and took it with the grace you,d only expect from an elite talent such as he.
Fightinc did a great job with production and matchmaking all the fighters for to their very best that day to say i was drained after it was an understatement but was it worth yes!! a million percent, please also remember the likes of Frankie and Thrasher are rare enjoy them while they are around, but also watch the new kids on the block too,Stanton,Adiss,Chipchase,Robinson,Barwise,Jackson,Karpowicz and the impressive Andy Bakewell who was class too and they are all not from same gym proves that the sports coaches are getting better the fighters are getting better, the sports getting better and there will always be critics in life but as a friend said recently "when you get lemons, make lemonade" xxx
Liam called me saturday after he couldn,t get hold of Richard smith telling me he was throwing all day and had blood in his vomit he was in doctors at the time i said "if you ill your ill mate" he replied "i need the money and i feel i,d let everyone down" he wanted the fight theres no questioning that and i can see why people would be puzzled or ask questions but its fact but anyway i hope everyone enjoyed the show we have the best fighters outside Thailand lets see some more "kids" come through soon its very very exciting xx
Mason harris,Rob horrocks also fought out of their skins x
Thank you Vinny, Masons fitness and conditioning is usually his strong point in fights and always finishes strong but at 48hours notice he threw the bout away in round 5, a fair few people who dont really understand the sport said they thought he had won but he lost clear, Rob scoring well with body kick then nice footwork to stay out of harms way. There will be a rematch at a lighter weight with proper prep and it will be a great fight.
It is a shame to lose judges as they are hard to come by and lets face it nobody wants to spend a whole day travelling and judging a show for about £70 and then get it in the neck about any minor slip up. I must say that a few of the bouts were very close which is due to good matchmaking on the part of the promoters and there is a slight grey area in these very close bouts for some judges, this does still happen in a small percentage at the stadiums but rematches are soon scheduled and it ups the interest in the bout and the betting. If it means we get a few rematches like Howson v Trainor then im all for it as they make for cracking fights.

Thats all folks! 14 fights, 28 fighters, what a show!
Ads,your pictures just keep getting better and better mate. Absolutely superb
That is an awesome pic of Luke Turner elbowing Andre Kotsur.
Was Thrasher's fight for WMC title? I thought it was WKA!
Yes,Tremendous pics as usual Ads.
Pity about the 2 judges not fancying judging again,I think it was only the Brocky fight people thought he'd won,Going off the reaction/spoken word around me.
Lets not get away from what a TOP,TOP show this was.....
Vinny,I don't think everybody is a lemon who questions things? You get debates in all walks of life and on forums ;-)
so i am a lemon for asking a question vinny did or did u not speak to me an brocky after the fight an say that u think he won the fight. enough of the negatives wot a fantastic show like always lookin forward to the next also awesome pics and a big well done to luke turner!!
Yes i thought Brocky won, my points where about Liam being ill and about Lukes fight xx and i train Mark Skeer a little even Daz thought he,d lost but we aren,t judges either x
People will always disagree thats part of it but the fights were close because of the great match ups so different views fair do,s xx there great juniors too out there Danny hendle,Jack fletcher,Kameron Hudders,Jamie sutton, from all over including touch gloves,Badco,Northhampton,Beastmasters,Wicker, knucklers,Crawley,Dean whites,GFC etc so its real healthy plus they will have new heroes to aspire to is it healthy yes best shape its been in since i can remember xx
