Woking show Sunday 11-Feb
Ok, I know it seems a while off, but the months just fly by!!!

Im putting on my 4th show at this venue. It is HG Wells in Woking, a great venue with a bar inside the hall so you can enjoy your beer and not miss any fights!

Leaning on the bar and watching people fight is the best (and nicer than doing it in Aldershot at 11pm Saturday!)

Yeah they did, but as far as I remember it was c class

It was going to be full rules but it may now be B class. They have fought before in a 3 rounder with Ollie winning on points.

Looking forward to seeing Dom V's Richie. Both good fighters with good records, reckon Dom has the edge (sorry Richie).

You say that Dave, but Dom hasnt fought for over a year whereas Ritchie has been very active, winning all 5 of his fights. This is a very tough fight for Dom on his fight back and he's going to have to be at his very best to beat Ritchie (have to make sure he stays of the pies and beer!!!)

ur right dave i did, that was august 05 i think, was both me and waynes first fights (well, my first adult rules one anyway). He beat me on points, hes good fighter, good technique but if i was gonna pick a winner it'd b u cos u've been a bit more active. He's good though, his right body kick is wicked, my body was banana shaped after our fight, lol. i will probably see u there as we have fighters on the show, but good luck anyway

Had quite a few changes in the last week.

Main one being that Chris Knowles has had to pull out of fighting Rob Lloyd as he has had an offer to fight in Hungary on the K1.
Also Mike Tomko has pulled out of fighting Ollie Watson due to ill health. A real shame as I was looking forward to that one. We may be able to put it on my May 13th show.
If anyone wants to fight Ollie on my show, please let me know.

Can't speak for Olly but Mike's had most of his fights FTR. Last one was for a BIKMA european title beating John Howard. Stopped him in the second after he cut him with some nasty elbows and knees to the face.

I have to say it was a bloody fight. Mike was cut on the top of the head in the first round from a downward elbow that pumped blood. My cuts man did stop it and it didn’t stop Mike and just saw red and returned the favor but this time it was over Howards right eye.

Second round was just toe to toe eblows with Howard corner throwing in the towel after a few razor elbows openned another and then a few solid knees to the face.

It would have been stopped as Howard's face was pumping blood all down the turn buckle where Mike had him pinned. Mike experience in the clinch and FTR shown thru…..

Surj Singh is available to judge any number of fights you want, I also think it would be a good idea to ask Martin Carter to judge some as he is very exp. too and as long as u have 2 out of 3 with good MT judging background u cant go wrong so either of the two with Ryan Rudkin should be decent scoring.
I just wondered who thats all cuz its a pain in the ass when u train hard for a fight then lose on points cuz u havent thrown enough boxing combos!

A few results that I can remember!!

Richie Green beat Dominic heydon on points. Good fight. i felt that Richie took the first 2 rounds, and Dom the 3rd. Dom then sank about 8 pints in 5 minutes!!! :)

Sheree Halliday beat Claire Haigh on points. Nice fight with Sheree winning quite comfortably, but Claire was always dangerous with some big bombs.

Nathan Edwards beat Tom Whillock for the ISKA national schoolboy title on points. Well done Nath, but also well done to Tom who was very tough and never stopped coming forward.

Dave Fensom stopped Wayne Pinney in the 1st round with some crisp punching. I really thought that this fight would be a 5 round war, but Dave was like a man possessed. Well done Dave, the new ISKA Southern Area champ.

Liam Robinson beat Phil Pullen on points. This was a fantastic fight. I dont think Ive ever seen a fight that the clinch work was so good, thatevery time the fighters are parted, the crowd give a big round of applause in appreciation...including both corner teams! well done to Liam, the new ISKA British Champion, and unlucky Phil, but it really was a cracking fight, and showed what Muay Thai is all about.

Have to say, although there was 16 fights, the real battle was on the dance floor later on..... zebedee vs Nathan 'I dont moan!' Kitchen!

It was a no contest. I hadnt even started to break into my MC Hammer routine, when nathan started windmilling in the middle of the dance floor.... I quit there and then, I know when Im beat!!!!

Great organisation,great fights,nice little venue.

There will be a lot written about Liams Robinsons fight,safe to say for me it was the best domestic fight i have seen for maby 5 years.........there has been nothing to touch it...........the clinch and elbow work from both guys was amazing,I knew Liam was good ........realy good and he proved it last night...well done son!

Scott Robinson again dominated in the clinch and used good body kicks.

Ben fought a very mature fight for a 14 year old and did well to get a win from a strong opponent

All in all a great night...............and a good collection for K4C!

Nice one - good work Jesse and congrats to all the fighters and teams; even those that didn't win stepped up and put on a great show.

A very well organised show with some really well matched and exciting fights. Jesse looked really cool and not too stressed for a promoter(although he prob just a good actor). I didn't get to see all the fights but in the ones I saw I thought the judging was very good. There was a really supportive atmosphere in our changing room from everyone and some really good performances on the night, even from those that lost. It is always good to catch up with old friends at these shows. I was really pleased with all of our lads who I thought fought really well. Well done young Ben in his first 5 rounder and to Scott. I was 'over the moon' with Liam's performance against a very strong and determined Phil Pullen who made it a brilliant fight pushing Liam to his best performance to date. I have to agree with Rich in that I feel Liam 'came of age' as a fighter in this fight by matching an appropriate mental approach to his phyical skills. Thanks to Phil for pushing Liam so very hard and making him have to stay 100% focused in attack and defence; a great fight from both lads. I did try to find you after the fight Phil to say well done and thanks for a great fight but you had done a runner to the pub LOL(or that's what your mates told me). A really good night cheers Jesse.

Phil and Liam's fight was one of the best i've seen in a long long time! It was one of those exciting fights that had me grinning the whole way though. It's great to see such a excellent display of proper muay thai!!! Both fighter's showing true sportsmanship.

great night and run really well great show to be at. the atmosphere was one of the best in how the crowd supported the fights as they were going especially in the last fight, its rare to see applause after clinch work in britain but the quality of the wrok in that fight was amazing. im sure all at our gym are well over the moon with liam and im really proud of him, an excellent fight from start to finish, did exactly what he does in the gym and it showed mate. also big respect to phil he came for a fight and never once backed off and made liam work for the win. excellent night really enjoyed it.

another thing worth mentioning from the fights i actually managed to see that the judging and decisions seemed spot on, and never any arguments from opposing corners. great night of judging. excellent .

Well done to all that were at the show last night, from fighters, coaches and teams, staff, venue, promo team and supporters - you helped make a fantastic show!

Jesse gets 10/10 in my book, he's always been a good promoter but now I think he's a great one - he's surrounded himself with a good team he can trust, and he just was the 'guiding hand on the tiller' ensuring everything went smoothly. I think we went only 10mins over time - pretty incredible considering the number of fights!!!

The venue's burgers weren't bad either, lol!!

I only got to see a couple of fights through working, so I gotta say well done to all that I missed too...but special mention for what I saw...

Sheree - well done! Caught the last round - you did the work, you got the results!

Nathan - er...you're gonna finish off a few careers as the 'new blood' comes of age on the scene - you fought so far above your experience and age - I can't wait to see the video to be amazed again at the skills you are developing.

Dave - loved your jump in the corner, lol! I know what you were thinking...don't get up...please stay down...please don't get up...he's staying down...is he....yes....yiiiiipppppppeeeeeee! Lol!!! Good jab to set up the finish - when that landed, I knew it should be over, and you finished it well.

Phil - I thought you had the last three rounds (missed the first two!) so when you lost I thought I'd better speak with Tony...with the scoring hierachy nicely educated I fully agree with the decision. I think a few more straight knees rather than circular in training from now on! Gotta say that it was a first class fight for both of you - the skills you two showed were something for us all to aspire to.

Also, wanted to say an extra thanks to Claire Haigh. It is increasingly difficult to get fights for Sheree, and Claire stepped in and took the fight, even though she has had a lot less experience. I felt she put up a fantastic performance, and with Cliff behind her, will go on to better things. Thanks again guys.

Although very camp Jesse is a great promoter i think because he is 100% honest with everyone he deals with and keeps you informed of any minor changes all the time. You never turn up to a show he puts on to find out the weight or the rules or the rounds have changed on the day. Nice work, cu at the next one.

Thanks for your kind words Jess. Claire has taken her first loss well and is using it as a very decent lesson. Claire showed a lot of heart and improvement on the day (of which I am very proud) and Sheree showed her class and experience. Being the competitor she is, she has already expressed a very real desire for the rubberband match (as I mentioned at the end of the show), so she can measure herself against the two performances and see by how much she can raise her game by... so I am sure we will talk soon LOL :o) once again great show and a true gentleman as a host!

It was a pleasure for both my guys to ga#et in the ring with Liams guys again and I thought that they did real well. Ryan Vs Ben must have been real close and was a great 5 rounder to watch with both using real Thai Techniques. Scott closed Harry down real well and he will learn a lot from that. ben showed what he is about on this show and deffo one to watch out for in the future. used his techniques well and remembering correctly i think he only lost round 4, and took the other rounds but it was a great fight.
i was pretty sure scott was going to stop his opponent, that first solid knee that landed in the first was a great knee to the body, his opponent kept on going though and showed great heart and spirit and took some good shots and gave some good back, another great fight. well done both scott and ben!

Julie gets out of hospital today - she started passing blood the day after the fight so she was kept in for observation. She has two cracking shiners too!

Yeah she was fine, just needed checking out. Nicola came out really strong and shook julie giving her two early 8-counts! Im happy Julie got back into the fight taking at least the last round strongly. She told me after that it took 3 rounds for her head to clear lol. Shes right as rain now and looking forward to fighting on March 25th in Exeter.
